Lil Wayne Sued In Jail - Philly Rapper Claims Wayne's Producers Stole "Lollipop"

Lil Wayne has been incarcerated since March but his name is still involved in fresh contoversy. A lawsuit was filed on Friday (April 30) claiming that Wayne's producer's stole the the song "Lollipop." Philadelphia rapper/musician Dirhan Gilliams claims the song, released in 2008 on Wayne's Tha Carter III, was based on his 2007 song "Grindin' Like A Goon." The suit names Darius “Deezle” Harrison, James “Jim Jonsin” Scheffer, Rex Zamor, Cash Money, Young Money and Universal as defendants. Gilliam sent copies of his song to Flo Rida, Briscoe, executive Kevon Glickmon, producers Deezle and Jim Jonsin, and a number of others in the music industry. Gilliam claims that portions of "Grindin' Like A Goon" were illegally used and turned into "Lollipop," by Deezle, Jonsin and Rex Zamor. The song sold over 4 million copies and was a huge hit for Weezy. Ironically, both Jim Jonsin and Deezle are suing Lil Wayne for unpaid royalties from the same song. Deezle is suing for $2.5 million and Jonsin for $500,000.
