Former Bad Boy Artist Loon On The Evils of Hip Hop & Why He Chose Islam Over Rapping

Once known as the Bad Boy rapper Loon, Amir Junaid Muuhadith is a changed man after his conversion to Islam. Dissing the entire music industry to embrace religion, the former artist has ended all speculation of him returning to make music. Muuhadith was recently spotted on Georgia State University's campus handing out copies of the Qur'an to those curious about Islam. He was filmed speaking about his conversion to Islam and the present state of hip hop. “To be honest, I haven't listened to Hip Hop music in like 10 months now, but just knowing that certain times that I've been able to bump into brothers like my man P. Diddy and my other ex-peers in the business, it seems like the state of Hip Hop is in the same state is was when I left.”
The rapper formerly known as Loon went on to discuss the evils of the music business which consumes the souls of people. He stated that people in the music business are forced to put the business above everything else, including their families and their lives, which causes some to give more thought to business than God.
“It's a dirty business, it's a grimey business. I think it extracts the soul out of people and it's really just something that doesn't contribute to any type of reward when it comes down to doing things that are pleasing to the one that created the Heavens and the Earth.”
