rihanna's "Hard" Music Video Featuring Young Jeezy Premiered Today

Rihanna and Young Jeezy's new video Hard features the new 'military couture' look where she's fashionably dressed (or undressed) in military regalia. During the filming of the video Rihanna boasted about the budget spent on the video:

"We got tanks, we got troops, helicopters, explosions, tight gear, lots of cute outfits, lots of bullets. Crazy!"

When was the last time an artist got the chance to make big budget videos like this? Explosions, firing machine guns into the air, etc... Rihanna's video is a blast from the past not only referencing the days of old-school military battles, but also hearkening back to the days of Hype Williams and Dr. Teeth who were notorious for creating those big budget, over-the-top music videos from the '90s we all know and love (see Tupac's California Love as reference).
