Will.i.am took the stage with Nicki Minaj and performed "Check It Out" with her at the 2010 MTV VMA Pre-Show. Will.i.am shocked celebrities, fans, and artists alike when he showed up in blackface with a porcelain helmet mimicking an '80's-styled haircut with a pink streak in it. Details inside...
Will.i.am's make-up apparently caused controversy and the rapper/producer felt the need to defend his actions.
