Nicki Minaj Is Not Responding To Anyone's Diss Record?
Rapstress Nicki Minaj sounds like she's prepping us for punking out of the beef with Lil Kim. In a recent interview with Vibe magazine, Nicki Minaj hints that her success will be the only diss record we can expect to hear:
Nicki Minaj on Diss Records My diss record is my success rate, and how much I can charge to be somewhere for 30 minutes. That’s my diss record. The fact that I can pay your mortgage for a year in 30 minutes. That’s my diss record. That diss record makes everyone go ooooooh word nicki went in! That’s all I need.
Nicki on her sound & gimmicks I want to be a balanced artist so its not gimmicky. What people don’t know is that before I was doing that craziness I was doing me, I was just doing regular sounding rap that anyone could hear and identify with. But once I started doing all that weird shit—im not mad at it because it got everyone’s attention, but I can sometimes forget that I come from a real authentic place in hip-hop. Im not someone who got signed to a record label who said ‘hey maybe you should do weird voices.’ No. this is all years of me learning me and my style, and decide to do something different that would get everyone’s attention. But I always knew I wanted to come back to my original sound, and the album is going to be a plethora of different sounds. Sometimes people close to me they have their preferences, their favorite Nicki thing, and I have to stand up sometimes and block out the noise.
Booo! We wanna hear Nicki Minaj go IN on Lil Kim. None of this baby rap stuff either. Until then, Nicki Minaj's stock is going down - BASEMENT!

I understand where she's coming from BUT this is hip hop! If someone (lil kim & keys) has a problem with Nicki, handle it in the booth. JayZ, Nas, LLCoolJ, Eminem, Ice Cube etc handled beef in the booth. Why do current rappers think they're too big to do the same?

At the end of the day it is her choice if she wants to remain silent on it. Personally I feel like neither one of them is taking women in Hip Hop in the right direction. They are simply "video vixens" with a mic. I think the both of them could learn something from people like Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill and even Eve. I am not saying they are not talented. Kim is bad with it at times and our friend Nicki here obviously has something. Lyrically though it is garbage to me. We need authentic hip hop that actually brings something more to the table than just sex, money, ho's and clothes.

And the sad part Keys was on some elementary BS and still slaughter her ass. Now what she has to understand getting there is easy part. Staying there is what going to be the harderest. Nicki wanna throwed slugs when slugs get throwed back she cant handle it. Avoiding battles is not a good career move.
