Lorenzen Wright's Ex-wife's House Searched By Police
Lorenzen Wright's ex-wife's house was searched by Memphis police Sunday (August2nd). The home and backyard of ex-NBA player Lorenzen Wright's ex-wife was searched by detectives in Memphis.
The body of the former NBA player, who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks, and Memphis Grizzlies, was found Wednesday in the woods of a southeast Memphis area. Lorenzen Wright had been missing since July 18, when he left his ex-wife's house around midnight, but nobody could say who he left the house with. Police have ruled the death of Lorenzen Wright a homicide, and it appears that his ex-wife may be one of the the first people of interest in the case. Memphis Detectives spent several hours at the home of Sherra Wright, including a lengthy search of a backyard grill and fire pit. According to the report, neighbors told police that smoke was seen coming from the backyard the night Lorenzen Wright went missing and thought it strange because it was one of the hottest nights of the summer. Last week, Sherra Wright's lawyer, Gail Mathes, revealed that three armed men came looking for Lorenzen Wright at the ex-wife's house about six weeks before he was found dead. The men also threatened Sherra Wright, and threatened to harm her family if she told anyone about the visit. We'll keep yopu informed as we receive more details.
