Kanye West Still Apologizing; Says He Is Not A Racist Taylor Swift Hater
Kanye West is still apologizing for Swiftgate. The reason for his repeated apologies have been speculated by some to be his way of promoting his album. In XXL magazine’s October 2010, where he appears on the cover: the rapper rants:
“I stress that the incident wasn’t about Taylor personally.”
“And it definitely wasn’t about race. Where I messed up is, at the end of the day, it’s your show, Taylor. It’s your show, MTV."
“The relationship with the public and with your fans is like the relationship with your girlfriend. How could I not, at a certain point, be like, ‘I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have been at the awards show. I’m sorry.’ Not that I don’t deserve to get beat up or change who I am inside, to make sure that that doesn’t happen again."
“I knew I wasn’t in a great spot publicly after the incident, but I would just block it out and work as hard as possible and let my work be my saving grace. In a way, I had thrown a Molotov cocktail at my own career, and it gave me an opportunity, for the first time, to go away and find out who I was. Because I felt very alone.”
Taylor Swift should be thrilled that Kanye West is still using her name!

why is what he did being called racist when he did not mention race.please look up the definition of the word racist before you accuse someone of such a harsh word. when john mayer said racist things about black people it was quickly swept under the rug. the word racist is used to describe someone who uses race to oppress or harm someone just because of their race.stop oppressing people and twisting the truth.

I didnt see anything racists about the incident. You are right philoscyber. Kanye is brilliant. He has used a waif of a white girl to fuel his own sagging, useless, meaningless career. All he has to do to keep the buzz going is mention Taylor Swift and he sells another 5 or 6 albums. Anyone will tell you that white girls make the world go round and Kanye was smart enough to make it work for him. It is not racist, just fact. And besides, if taylor would hit the sack with a punk like john mayer, if Kanye plays his cards right, he might even get to tap that Taylor. Be carful Kanye, she is skinny and might jack knife on you when ya'll are in the throes.
