Jennifer Hudson Responds To Winnie Mandela's Concern Of Her New Movie Role
Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson's role as South African Freedom fighter Winnie Mandela in the up and coming film 'Winnie', is meeting some resistance from Winnie Mandela herself. Apparently the screenwriters didn't consult Winnie Mandela before, during or after the writing process, and Ms. Mandela is highly upset at the level of disrespect innate in such an act. Despite the political drama behind the scenes, Jennifer Hudson is confident that Winnie Mandela will not be insulted by the movie's portrayal of her. Jennifer Hudson has told friends the film will be ''very fair, showing Winnie's attributes, as well as her faults.'' Jennifer Hudson claims she relates to Winnie Mandela because of her ability to overcome huge odds. ''I can't wait to start the journey,'' she told reporters Sunday.
