Janet Jackson - Michael Jackson Called Janet Jackson "Pig" And "Cow"
 Janet Jackson - Multi-platinum selling artist Janet Jackson details the teasing she received from her brothers, especially pop icon Michael Jackson in her new book on the Today's show.
In her new book, True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself, Janets goes in depth about her childhood and the many insecurities she developed. Janet's main issue was with her image, she desperately wanted to look like her older sister, Rebbie.
Janet also discussed her father Joe requiring her to call him "Joe" not "Dad" saying, "I'm Joseph to you, do not call me dad"

You got your headline all wrong. Michael called her "dunk," which was his nickname for Janet. The other brothers called her pig, etc., not that it's as dire as you make it sound. She often over-ate, and they were trying to put the brakes on because they didn't want her to get fat. Just because Janet perceived these words as taunts doesn't mean they were meant that way. Of course she is subjective about it. Question: what came first, the words or the over-eating? From all accounts, it was the over-eating. So what? We all have body image problems. And this family was constantly in the limelight. Siblings do tease each other, sometimes unmercifully. Hope she gave back as good as she got. Don't turn this into another "let's say something nasty about Michael Jackson" campaign! He loved his sister, told her so countless times, and told us so countless times, too. Enough said.

I have yet to read this book but if what she is saying is true that is sad that her own family was so hateful in the way they teased her.
The thing about the father is disturbing to say the least. Seems like the man only saw his children as a meal ticked and that he did not care for them other than how much money they could bring in.

The siblings wern't nice to each other. The boys teased Janet about her wait but many of the siblings and cousins also teased Michael about his Acne. What does anybody expect, Joe was teasing Michael about his nose. With a father like that how can anyone expect the kids to be nice to each other all the time. Were the kids diciplined by their parents when they were picking on each other or just when they screwed a dance move is that when Joe diciplined them.

Michael said he called janet alot of names, kids call each other names without thinking about others feelings, it doesn't mean he was abd. Janet knows he loved her and didn't mean to hurt her.

omigosh! I've just discovered that what I'd always thought was good-natured brother-&-sister teasing back & forth in my family while I was growing up was actually verbal abuse!
And it took the mass media's reports about the Jacksons to make me realize how mistaken I'd been these years. What would we do without the media to tell us these things?

I'm reading over and over and over how mean and hateful and brutal Joe Jackson was to his children,but am I the only one who knows that the Jacksons would have not gained fame/notoriety and success had it not been for Joe? I am not condoning how he treated them however, someone other than me needs to know that it was not Katherine Jackson who groomed those children for show business/success. The man deserves atleast to be honorably mentioned every once in again!!!!

I'm with Lydia Bryant: Janet has picked up the mantle for throw Joseph under the bridge. I'm sure he spanked those kids when they didnt want to practice and rehearse. I get so sick and tired of her whining about how sensitve she was to everything and how she suffered. But at the same time she's simulating giving guys from the audience head or having sex with them. I used to reall like Janet, but the more I see her the more she turns me off. She dated Jermaine Dupree in hopes of hit album and when that didnt happen she promtly kicked him to the curve and picked up the I date strictly non-black men campagne. She was never really a good singer, so maybe she can focus on decent acting and stop sitting out in the open nude so the media can take pics of her.
