Fight Breaks Out At The US Open
A fight broke out at the US Open, high in the stands of Arthur Ashe Stadium, yesterday (Sept. 3rd). Police had to escort three people out of the stadium causing a short delay in Novak Djokovic's match against Philipp Petzschner.
The second round match was in the first set when the scuffle broke out. U.S. Tennis Association spokesman Chris Widmaier comented saying the fight resulted from a, "disagreement over verbiage." Novak Djokovic and Philipp Petzschner both stopped playing and looked up into the stands as the police handcuffed the people and led them out of the stadium. "It was a hot night in New York," Widmaier said. "Things happen." Check out the video below.

There were persons of three generation involved and the youngest one showed most maturity. He laughed away the slap inflicted on him by the lady. He might have been the agent provocateur, as the reports suggest, but the physical violence on him could have been much more provocative, coming from a lady in full public view. His restraint is only to be appreciated, though he could be condemned on other issues.
