Dr. Conrad Murray Gets Death Threats Before Turning Himself In
Michael Jackson's doctor Dr. Conrad Murray, his lawyers and even his spokesperson have all received death threats in the days before his arraignment. Approximately three hours before Dr. Conrad Murray's schedule 1:30 pm PST arraignment, security concerns were growing. Dr. Murray's spokesperson Miranda Sevcik told an online source: "The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department has expressed security concerns to us, and we don't want to add to that situation, so the venue could get moved. Dr. Murray might not attend the proceedings. We are waiting to hear from the D.A."
But Steve Whitmore, spokesperson for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department downplayed the security concerns and said: "The only security concerns we have is for the media overflow parking, and making sure the media doesn't venture into unauthorized areas, if they do, we will escort them out. It's steady at the helm for us." On the other hand, Dr. Murray's rep said:
“He (Murray) travels and we have been careful. He has not let it affect his life. But, when you have this much The threats against Dr. Murray we take very seriously.”
WOW! Michael Jackson's fans are more gangsta than Tupac's fans ever were!

I said on an article post that he was guilty, and should be wondering about his future, when he was missing or not found that next day. I am a nurse and I knew, who else was there 24/7 for 2 or 3 weeks with Micheal??? I said that the next day. And that picture of him with the big smile was quite irritating to anyone with a brain and family and friends especially too, I am sure! He was a Dr. looking for easy bucks, no ethics!!!!!!

I am a HUGE MJ fan and I'm not saying that Conrad deserves a life sentence or the death chair, but I do think he deserves to pay for the STUPID decision he made as a doctor. It is his responsibility to know right from wrong! It was just plain stupid!!!!

I agree with Renee that he made a stupid decision, however, when you are dealing with celebrities, can you possibly imagine the pressure they would feel to do what the celeb is asking? How do you think alot of these stars get drugs or become addicted - their doctors!
Right or wrong, he made a mistake - should he go to jail - I don't think so. Take his license, but to let all the blame fall on the doctor is unfair - it was in part MJ's fault as well as his family who allowed his abuse to go on when they knew. Are they also being prosecuted? No. There is enough blame to go around...no one person should be punished.

I agree. He should not have taken such a powerful sleep aid to get to sleep. However, do not call him an addict. He was not that. For that case then, let's just call all these people out here who take sleep medications to get to sleep drug addicts. All my Ambien takers, can I get a hand? Also, I question this whole thing in the first place. Why would Michael take anything that would put his life at risk knowing he had children to care for. He loved those kids too much to risk dying and leaving them behind. I think all of this was a setup.

WE all lost the day Michael Jackson, not just the concert series but the charities that he loved so much. Why cant people see that he truely cared for people and damage being caused to this world. His message was about loving yourself and the world we lived in enough to change it. He was not a drug addict, he wanted so much for ths concert series to make a difference and to please his fans. He had a sleeping problem not a drug problem. He deserves justice, his family deserves justice and his fans all over the world deserves justice. Instead of condeming Michael Jackson walk and honest mile in his shoes, stop being hateful something you do not know. The world owes him that much.

Calling Michael Jackson a drug addict does not make what Murray(he does not deserve to be call a Doctor) did right. Any one of us is just one illness, or accident away from becoming dependent on a addictive narcotic drug. All it takes is just one unethical Doctor to set the stage for a lifetime of dependancy.
John Q. Public does not know the risks for addiction associated with narcotics, but a Doctor does. I see people prescribed percocet and hydrocodone for headaches at the Emergency room on a regular basis
Real Doctors, ethical Doctors, would have been looking for what was causing Michael Jackson pain and sleepless nights. Don't just assume his dependancy was for the "thrill" of getting high, or low for that matter. Murray killed Michael, and he should pay for it. He acted like a drug dealer, rather than a Doctor.
