Dr. Conrad Murray. He pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, and has said that he does not believe that he did anything wrong. Jackson was known for being an insomniac, and investigations after his death revealed that he had been using the sedative Propofol for years in order to fall asleep.

Several Jackson family members appeared in court on Monday, including Michael’s father Joe Jackson and his brother Jermaine Jackson. Janet Jackson recently revealed on the Oprah Winfrey show that she held Murray responsible for the singers death. Murray has been under increased scrutiny in recent months ever since the toxicology reports first became available. Some have said that while Murray may have administered the drugs, the fact remains that Michael had been abusing the sedative for years before hiring Murray as his doctor.

The Jackson family has been very vocal about their beliefs regarding the death of Michael. Several family members have stepped forward to claim that they believe that Conrad Murray is responsible for his death. Murray claims that he walked into the room and found Jackson no longer breathing when he called for paramedics and administered CPR in an attempt to revive him.
