Conan will be just fine. The lead ins like Seinfeld, The office, Family Guy are much more attractive than Leno's gig was. And from what I understand Lopez isnt being blind sided at all, he sounds excited about the whole thing and I read that Conan wouldnt do it if it wasnt alright with Lopez in the first place. Why would anyone think that Conan would pull an NBC on anyone else.

Whoever wrote this article should research a little more. George Lopez was the one that was pushing for the network to pick up Conan. He said that he would love to have Conan "opening" for him.

JH Says:
"Besides, did anyone notice that TBS already had a late night show hosted by George Lopez? Did Conan O'Brien just do the same thing that Jay Leno did to him?? Where's the Team Coco outcry now?"

George Lopez basically talked through the terms of a potential deal with O'Brien on the phone, giving him the confidence to do business with TBS.

As for the guests, Lopez draws big name stars just fine, and musical guests will flock to perform in front of a heady, invested audience like Conan's.

Also, I'm more likely to watch a rerun of "Family Guy" or "Seinfeld" at 10 & 10:30 than I would "The Jay Leno Show". Hell, I'd take "Sex and the City" over Leno's tired nightly act.

This entire "article" was horribly worded and sparsely researched.

There was no research for this article. The 'author' picked up a blurb somewhere and rushed out some copy. George Lopez was just on Larry King the other night pumping the whole concept and explaining how it went down. Conan and George talked on the phone man-to-man about it. They even intend to do cross-over segments and tie-in skits for each other. George even wants to call the synergy "Team LoCo" Somebody needs to get fired or demoted for such shabby 'writing'.

Conan has been nothing but classy throughout this degrading process. Many other entertainers would be infuriated with what went down over hs demise on The Tonight Show'. I don't him personally but from people that I do know who have worked with him say that he's a very nice man in spite of his riches and fame. Even Jay Leno probably got a raw deal when he had to renounce it to him months ago. It's the suits over at NBC that screwed this whole thing up. Everyone just get ove rit and wish Conan well on his new venture already!

Jeff Herringa Says:
I was hoping that the Fox network would have picked up Conan's new show. However, his audience tends to be much younger and he may do just fine...

If he retains the roughly 2.5 million viewers he had on his NBC talkshows, and then adds more viewers, TBS should be tickled pink to have him.

A lot of younger viewers will watch reruns of shows like Family Guy, The Office, and Seinfeld. I don't see that as a minus.

His Conando "Mexican Soap Operas" may attract Latino viewers. This might be one thing he could do in cross-overs with George Lopez. Just a suggestion...

Interesting article on the web:

TALK show host George Lopez was allegedly told he’d be FIRED from TBS if he didn’t welcome the network’s latest signing, Conan O’Brien, with open arms.

Sources have told New York Post gossip column Page Six that Lopez’s delight at O’Brien’s arrival is an act.

“George was initially opposed to the idea of moving his time slot to make room for Conan on TBS,” said one insider.

“He was told that if he wasn’t supportive, his show would not be renewed. The Lopez camp is even more disheartened by the fact that Conan’s contract states that if Lopez’s show is canceled, then Conan will be able to develop a show for the midnight hour, as well . . . it’s in Conan’s best interest for Lopez’s show to fail.”

TBS, naturally, has denied the claims: “These claims are completely untrue. TBS has been unequivocal in its support of George Lopez.

“Conan O’Brien and his team also fully support George’s show.”

So, don't cut yourself any slack. You are utterly, totally and completely wrong and it nullifies every word you have just written. TBS is paying him very well and is part of Time Warner Corporation, so what is this about Conan falling from grace? Network TV is too oftentimes over-rated that is why cable and satellite tv thrives, and Conan has a loyal following many of whom will make the leap to such if they haven't already. I'm sure Jay Leno and Letterman are happy he isn't a more direct competitor on some network like FOX, where he would really hurt both of them, but he will hurt them some, still! I haven't watched Leno and Letterman as they are both washed up, burned out and no longer funny let alone relatable people, I thank TBS for giving me the alternative to watch something else now than those two jerks, and many may follow suit.

Well, if you have Comcast, Conan isn't even on "basic" cable. As of last week, Comcast pulled TBS from the QAM list along with about 10 other stations so it's no loonger included int eh basic cable package. You have to move to a digital package and rent a set top box to see Conan. That makes the population that can see Conan on TBS less thatn half of what it was just two weeks ago.

Lopez called up Conan with the idea. He has Lopez's blessing. Conan then asked Lopez if he (Lopez) felt like he was getting "Leno-ed". Lopez responded, "Not at All". If anything, Lopez got a super lead-in, that being Conan's new show. Seems like a win=win for everyone!

Yes. It is a fall from grace to be banished to cable. It looks desperate. Conan's show even had to bump George Lopez. It is a risky deal.

O'brien's new gig has got the pop culture pundits DOING WHAT about Conan's ability? Did you mean "wondering?"

"For almost every talk show host, A-list guests is means that they use to set themselves apart from its competition."

I think you meant to say this: For almost every talk show host, A-list guests ARE THE means that they use to set themselves apart from THEIR competition.

Or Maybe you meant to say this: For almost every talk show host, BOOKING A-list guests IS THE means that they use to set themselves apart from THEIR competition.

Late Night Talk Show Host Conan O'Brien announced this Sunday that he would be reclaiming the "Tonight Show" throne and moving it to "HBO". Sources claim that Jay Leno was furious and decided that he and Tonight Show band leader "Kevin Eubanks" would also be moving their show. Leno claims he chose HBO so he could perform more of his "Blue Comedy" he has been known for throughout the years. And if you believe this....get me a job at Dime Wars.

Examples: Will she recover from her illness?
Re does not mean again.
I have re-covered the sofa twice.
Re does mean again AND omitting the hyphen would have caused confusion with another word.
The stamps have been reissued.
Re means again but would not cause confusion with
