Blender Names Tupac Most Overrated Artist
Blender decided to ride
on late infamous rapper Tupac Shakur, naming him their "most overrated artist"
in music. Blender puts in bluntly saying, "While Shakur was a decent rapper with
'insane rock-star charisma,'…he also larded records with self-mythologising,
mediocre filler." A 'decent' rapper! What blaspheme! If Pac is at the top of the
list then Nirvanna's frontman Kurt Cobain shouldn't be far behind. Cobain's
estate made far more in post death sales that Pac did and he is still idolized
as an innovator!
Tupac was one of the few
rappers if not the only one from his time who skillfully told a poetic story
spanning the past, present and the future. Pac brought social issues to the
forefront and never lost his fan base! A 'decent' rapper – are you kidding
me?!
By
the way, does Kanye still write for Blender – if so, he needs to turn in his
resignation letter ASAP!
