Allen Iverson Goes Public About His Daughter's Illness
NBA star Allen Iverson, who currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers has missed five games because of the illness of his 4-year-old daughter, Messiah. Now the Philadelphia 76ers has announced that Allen Iverson will not be with the team for the rest of the season.
Allen Iverson wants to spend more time with his daughter who has been very ill. According to reports doctors aren't sure what is the cause of her illness. She has recently been taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where doctors will try to find out what is wrong.
Allen Iverson may be a known as the bad boy basketball star, but he is also a father. He says, "You find out you're not as tough as you thought you were when it's one of your kids." We've given Allen Iverson grief on this blog for missing games before, but family comes first, let's hope his daughter Messiah gets better soon.

Its sad when a big buisness like the NBA shy away from one of their own when they are in need of people to understand not just to think about money. A.I. has been in this league a long time and it stinks that he is criticized for wanting what is best for his kids. What ever happened to support the people that made you a ton for a long time now needs your sympathy not for a team like the 76ers to find a way out of his contract. We are supposed to help our own not throw them to the wolves.

If I were Philly, I would be looking to do away with his contract...or maybe pay him ten dollars and hour...What most of you fail to realize is basketball is a business and regardless of what's going on the man is paid millions...So keep it real. The "Game" is NOT going to be there if people like AI get to decide when and where they are going to play the game.
