Alice Tan Ridley Out To Prove She's Got Talent Like Gabourey Sidibe
Alice Tan Ridley aka Gabourey Sidibe's mom wants America to know she's got talent, too. For those who aren't in the know, Alice Tan Ridley has been trying to break out in the performance arts for the greater part of two decades. Gabourey Sidibe often recalls seeing her mom sing Motown hits in NYC subway stations waiting for her chance to get noticed by some record exec. Now, Alice Tan Ridley has her big shot to be the next Susan Boyle by trying out on America's Got Talent.
"I would not be entering the competition if I did not think I could do well. Singing is what I do and I know I can do this.", Alice Tan Ridley said before her performance on the show. And the judges all loved her for it.
Sharon Osbourne called her performance 'unbelievable', while Howie Mandel said "What an amazing voice. I love what you did and you deserve to be heard by much more than everyone on the train."
Alice Tan Ridley will be headed to Las Vegas for the next stage of the show. America's Got Talent? No, the Sidibe's got talent!!1
