50 Cent to Play in Indie Gangster Film

Controversial rapper turned actor 50 Cent is putting on his bullet proof vest, only this time to play in Alex de Rakoff's London-based gangster film, "Dead Man Running." The movie began filming on Wednesday and centers around an ex-con who's trying to become a law abiding citizen. According to the Associated Press, the rap mogul will play "Thigo," a merciless loan shark who gives the ex-con 24-hours to repay $150,000. As 50 Cent gears up for the new role, he is also slated to make final edits on the film "Before I Self Destruct," which he wrote and produced as a follow-up to his upcoming album of the same name.
It appears that 50 cent is growing into quite the business man and he didn't need Vivica Fox to break into the business after all.
