Delonte West Secures Job At Furniture Store Amidst NBA Lockout
While Lebron James, Kobe Bryant and others are considering playing ball overseas, Delonte West is stuck in the U.S with no place to get paid for his b-ball skills.
The former Boston Celtics guard and now unrestricted free agent plead guilty last year to traffic and weapons charges. It is for this reasons a judge has denied his request to play overseas. In 2009 West was reportedly traveling on his motorcycle when he was pulled over and police discovered automatic weapons in a guitar case he was carrying. Not sure how they convinced him to open this case....
Despite his troubles, Delonte won't let a lockout or felony keep him from securing work. First, a surprisingly excited West stated he may have to work at Sam's Club selling knives. "I actually might have work with Sam's (Club), BJ's, selling knives," West said. "That's pretty cool too. I get a microphone and everything."
Then he applied at Home Depot but was denied. Finally, Regency Furniture showrooms gave him a break - and Delonte was already tweeting pictures from his first day of work AND his application to prove it. Wow! Check it below Tweeting the application though....damn
