American Idol Snubbing Lee DeWyze Causes Outrage
American Idol snubbing last year's winner Lee DeWyze is causing an outrage amongst Idol fans. It's Idol tradition for the previous winner to perform their current single and present the trophy to the current winner. It appears however that the breakdown began when Lee DeWyze refused to present the trophy to this year's eventual winner Scotty McCreery - at least according to Idol's executive producer Nigel Lythgoe's tweet. Nigel tweeted: "I was so upset Lee DeWyze wouldn't present the winners trophy to Scotty. Especially as he's been on the show this Season. I guess he was shy."
An outraged fan responded to Nigel's tweet saying, "You may not give a rats *ss about Lee but viewers do!! Suck on your ratings loss *sswipe!!!,"
Lee for his part went the more diplomatic route tweeting, "Hey guys, no I'm not performing at the Finale. I wasn't asked to . A lot of questions so I thought I'd fill you in. Talk to you soon :)" Is that how it all started? Or is DeWyze just shy?
As if the twitter back and fourth couldn't get worse, Lee's brother let Idol producers have it!
"American idol producers have no respect... that is all... serious b.s.."

Lee tweeted today that he was asked with just a couple of minutes left before the winner was announced. How do you prepare for your task on a rehearsed show with no notice. Nigel is a sad little man, rich, but sad.

Nigel was trying to cover his *** by making Lee out as a villian. Since it's a he said, he said situation, you have to decide who to believe. Lee has never been anything other than supportive and grateful to American Idol, so I believe his account of the situation. To me this is a case of class vs. ass.
