Tami Roman Issues Apology To Kesha Nichols
Basketball Wives reached an epic low last night thanks to Tami Roman. On the brink of a near breakdown that required both executive producer Shaunie O’Neal and Shed Media to address the public, issue apologies and promise a more balanced show – last night’s episode reminded us exactly why the Basketball Wives boycott is on fire.
Last week’s episode showed the beginning stages of Tami Roman picking a fight with her nemesis Kesha Nichols. Prior to the second half of the childish fight the public already knew Kesha was talked out of filing a police report and left Tahiti early – now we know why. Tami’s behavior is inexcusable and now she’s issued an apology posted on Twitter.
“I just landed in NYC, but I did catch 2nites episode on the plane. As I said earlier, this was BAD, wrong & immature-I apologize…I’m not proud of my behavior, but I own up to it and face it. I do apologizee 2my family, my friends, my kids & 2 my cast members…The supporters who have been there, I’m sorry I let U down-this was not handled properly & I felt bad THEN and now….I simply ask that U b respectful 2my kids-they R NOT on BBW & do not control my actions on the show. Don’t become what U criticze….I would have blogged this but I wanted 2 address it as soon as I landed. Accept it or not, I acknowledge & apologize to ALL involved.”
It’s clear that Tami doesn’t understand the implications of her actions. Her TV therapist must be embarrassed.
What do you think of Tami’s apology? Kesha also posted a blog post about bullying on her tumblr page which was shared by Nicki Minaj.

Bobbi Kristina Brown Agrees To 'The Houston Family Chronicles" Reality Show
We still miss Whitney Houston—but not enough for this: her daughter Bobby Kristina and the rest of the Houston family have reportedly signed a deal with Lifetime for a reality show.
It will be called “The Houston Family Chronicles” and will feature, in addition to Bobby Kristina, Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager Pat Houston, Pat’s daughter Rayah, Whitney’s brother Gary and Whitney’s mother Cissy.
What, no Bobby Brown?
The Houston family has been down this road before—who could forget the train wreck of a show Whitney did with Bobby called “Being Bobby Brown” back in 2005? That show showed us way more of the Houston-Brown marriage than we ever needed to see.
But Lifetime sounded very pleased by its new show.
“The tragic loss of Whitney Houston left a void in the hearts of people all over the world, but certainly none more so than her beloved family,” said Rob Sharenow, executive vice president of programming at Lifetime, in a statement. ”In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love, and grow.”Read the full story at Atlantablackstar.com

Willow Smith Complains About Her Fame
Willow Smith isn't feeling her last name right now. The youngest of the Smith clan is forced by her mother to travel with security and it's just making her life a living hell! Willow, her mother Jada and grandmother Adrienne sat down for their first "Red Table Talk" where Willow griped about her fame,
“If I had to change one thing about my life, it would probably be, I wouldn’t be famous,” replied Willow. “Because when you’re famous it’s so hard. Let’s say if a regular girl is going to the book store, it’s ten times harder to go everywhere [when you're famous]. But some people are like, ‘Oh, it’s so easy,’ and I’m like, ‘As fast as you can get there, it’s going to take me ten more minutes to get there.’ Because I have to call security.”
Oh Willow...

LeBron James A Likely Contender For MVP
It was when LeBron James was a kid that he developed the mindset of team.
”I was always taught it’s team first,” James told the AP on Friday. ”My first time playing basketball, we went undefeated and won a championship and Frank Walker Sr. gave everyone on the team a MVP trophy. Right then and there, I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I wanted to see my teammates reap the benefits as well.”
He has maintained that disposition, but his individual talent has been overwhelming, so much that he will for the third time be named the NBAs most valuable player, putting him in rarefied air.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won the MVP six times, Michael Jordan and Bill Russell five times each and Wilt Chamberlain four times. They are the only players with more than James. Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Moses Malone also have been so honored three times.
James likely will receive the trophy in Miami Sunday before Game 1 of the Miami Heat’s second-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.
James said last week that while another MVP award ”would be amazing and would be humbling,” it’s not what drives him. In his ninth year in the NBA, he is determined to win a championship.Read the full story at Atlantablackstar.com

Nia Long's Eager To Return To Acting After Giving Birth
Nia Long gave birth to her second child Kez Sunday with professional basketball player Ime Udoka last November. Since then the actress has been focusing on her family but now she's ready to get back to work. During an interview with Urban Daily Long talks about the joys of motherhood and acting again.
“I am the happiest that I’ve been probably in my life. It’s funny because I haven’t done a film since Mooz-Lum so I’m very ready to get back to work. I thought that I was right basically when I was feeling well and I had this surge of energy. But I realized that energy wasn’t about getting back to work, it was about the rebirth of myself through giving birth. Baby Kez Sunday has given me a bit of a rebirth and it’s really nice because I’m able to look at life through his eyes. You have to pay attention to the smallest thing from the birds chirping to the dog barking across the street. These are the things that make the world go around today. When you look at life in its simplest form, stress and worry isn’t the cornerstone of your life. Experiencing life through that lens is refreshing.
I’m just trying to balance my personal life with my career. Both are equally important and the one thing I don’t want to have is regrets in not having these moments with my babies. My eleven-year old is running the show. He’s like “mom when are you making another movie.” [But] My little guy is just looking at the trees amazed by his fingers, his tongue…the smiling. I wanna give him…I’m still a nursing mommy. I have to do this for him. We’ll see.”

Greg Oden Reveals Alcoholic Past
In a revealing interview with former Ohio State teammate, Greg Oden is telling his side of his short lived NBA career. Within his two years with the Portland Blazers, Greg now 24 had five knee surgeries three of them microfracture surgeries -- and admittedly became an alcoholic.
"If you know anything about guys in the Air Force, it's that they drink a ton," Oden said of his cousin who came to live with him by his second year in the NBA.
"My cousin got wrapped up in the NBA lifestyle and threw parties at my house all the time. So I got wrapped up in it, too.
"When I played well, I'd drink to celebrate. And when I played poorly, I'd drink to forget. That second year in Portland I pretty much became an alcoholic."
Oden revealed some disdain he has for others who've shot past him - perhaps he can use it as motivation.
"I'd be lying if I said that it didn't suck to see Durant doing so well," he said.
"But that doesn't mean I dislike him as a person or anything like that. He's a good guy and one of the three best players in the league right now. The only reason it hurts to watch him play is because I know that if I got the chance to show what I've got, I could be making All-Star teams like he and [No. 3 pick Al] Horford are, too."
