Dwight Howard Misses Out on Brooklyn Nets
With the Brooklyn Nets supposedly out of the trade scenario for Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic general manager, Rob Hennigan, thought it the right time to see if the all-star center would reconsider his position on being moved.
Nice try.
Hennigan called Howard Wednesday night, hoping for a change of heart to give the new regime a chance. But Howard was just as adamant, according to ESPN the magazine, indicating he wanted to be dealt. His call came several hours after the Brooklyn Nets, the team Howard asked Hennigan to trade him to, made a futile last-gasp attempt to deal for him before the Charlotte Bobcats could sign one of the Nets’ key trade chips, center Brook Lopez, to an offer sheet.
Lopez agreed to a new contract with the Nets on Wednesday night. Terms of the contract have not been disclosed, but a league source ESPNNewYork.com that Lopez, a restricted free agent, agreed to a four-year, $60 million max deal.

Michael Jordan Laughs At Kobe's Dream Team Comment
 First Charles Barkley, now Michael Jordan. Maybe it’s a Hall of Fame thing.
For sure, Jordan said he “absolutely laughed” at Kobe Bryant’s comments that this year’s Team USA could handle the Jordan-led 1992 Dream Team that featured an unprecedented 11 Hall of Famers.
Jordan told The Associated Press today there’s “no comparison” which team is better.
“For him to compare those two teams is not one of the smarter things he ever could have done,” Jordan said prior to playing in a celebrity golf tournament in Charlotte.
Jordan said the 1992 team, which won its six Olympic games by an average of more than 43 points en route to capturing the gold medal, was a better overall team largely because of the experience it put on the floor.
“I heard Kobe say we were not athletic,” said a smiling Jordan as he sat in a golf cart puffing on his cigar while waiting to tee off. “But we were smart. He said we were too old, but I was 29 and in the prime of my career. Pip (Scottie Pippen) was 26 or 27, (Charles) Barkley was 29, Patrick (Ewing) was 29 and Chris Mullin was 29. Almost everybody was still in their 20s.”

Joseline Drops New Single "Bailar"
Love & Hip Hop star Joseline Hernandez confirmed on Monday night's episode that she decided to have an abortion to focus on her music. Just four episodes into the drama filled show Joseline is the certified breakout star - wouldn't want a baby to spoil that. Sticking to her word to focus on her music Joseline dropped a reggaeton theme track called Bailar.

Alicia Keys To Honor Oprah Winfrey
Alicia Keys announced on Tuesday that her charity Keep a Child Alive will honor media mogul and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey at its annual Black Ball event on November 1st. According to the report released by AP, Keys stated Oprah is “a personal inspiration to me because her philanthropic work truly comes from the heart.”
Alicia’s organization was founded in 2003 to battle the widespread impact of HIV/AIDs in African and India. The Black Ball will be a “special tribute to the empowerment of women — the heartbeat, soul, and backbone of the AIDS movement.”

Kanye West Makes His First Appearance On Kim's Reality Show
Kim has officially turned Kanye West into a reality star as he made his debut on Keeping up with the Kardashian’s on Monday night’s episode. The clip opens with Kim K fretting over her plethora of fashion choices to put together a perfect outfit for Kourtney’s beau Scott Disick’s restaurant opening party. In walks Kanye West with an amateur smug on his face – hasn’t he watched this show enough to know you’re suppose to look as natural as possible. It takes practice.
Kim proceeds to ask Kanye for his opinion on her choices only to get a surprisingly nonchalant answer in return. Outside of Kanye actually agreeing to appear on Keeping up the Kardashians, Kim K’s lame attempt of convincing the viewers that she and Kanye, whom she called “babe” are just friends is laughable!!
“I don’t want to make a big fuss about it we’re just hanging out.”
Right. Hanging out all over Europe and coast to coast in the US. Kanye is more than willing to express his love to Kim is he did on “Cold” if she wants him to stick around we suggest she starts doing the same.

Usher's Former Stepson Kyle Glover Brain Dead
Usher =ex-wife Tameka Foster Raymond gave a two word update on the condition of her 11-year old son Kyle following the tragic accident. “He’s bad.”
It was reported that Kyle has been brain dead since arriving at the Children’s Healthcare at Egelston Hospital in Atlanta – Tameka has not left his side. Reportedly Usher chartered a plane to get Tameka near her son.
Kyle was hit in the head by a jet ski being driven by a 38-year-old man as the child sat with a teen girl in an inner tube being pulled by a boat on Lake Lanier.
Usher has two children with Tameka; Usher V, four, and Naviyd, three.
Despite their acrimonious divorce and ongoing custody battle, Usher remains close with Tameka’s three other kids and has offered to help any way he can.
Tameka reportedly posted a message for her son on Facebook – it’s unclear if it’s her page – if it is here is what she posted,
“Kyle, You are strong.. You’ll be saved I know it. I love you my baby. I need all #Prayers for my son! thanks you everybody!”

Raz B Slashes Wrist In Freak Accident In China
B2K singer Raz B is lucky to be alive after experiencing a freak accident with a glass door in China. Shortly after completing his performance in Shanghai, China on Sunday the former B2K singer returned to his hotel. The night ended with an emergency trip to the hospital when the singer tripped and fell through a glass door.
Raz B recalled the story to TMZ explaining that he tried to stop his fall with his hand but ended smashing it through a glass door damaging his wrist, destroying nerves, tendons and ligaments, exposing his bone. Luckily there were others present who called the hotel staff who later called an ambulance.
After arriving unconscious at Huashan Hospital Fudan University in Shanghai, Raz B underwent 5 hours of surgery. He was released on Monday. Considering the severity of the incident 24 hours appears to be a quick turnaround. Either way, Raz B made the smart decision to cancel the remainder of his tour.

Blake Griffin Accepts $98M Contract Extension From Clippers
The powerful and explosive power forward agreed to a five-year extension with the Clippers worth as much as $95 million if he is voted an All-Star starter again or named to a second All-NBA team next season under the so-called “Derrick Rose Rule” in the new collective bargaining agreement.
“I feel good about them (the Clippers),” Griffin told ESPNLosAngeles last weekend at Team USA’s training camp in Las Vegas. “Like I’ve said, everything’s been positive. Everything’s been moving forward. It’s been a good experience. I’m not a believer in breaking up something that’s working.”
The Rose rule allows a player finishing his rookie contract to make 30 percent of a team’s salary cap — up from 25 percent — if he’s twice been voted an All-Star starter, twice been voted All-NBA or won an MVP award.
Under another clause in the new CBA, rookies may extend their contracts by four years. However, a team may designate one player to sign a five-year extension.
