NeNe Leakes Is A Grandmother For The First Time (PHOTO)
Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes surprised many when she shared a photo of her holding an adorable little girl in InTouch magazine earlier this week. Turns out NeNe is a grandmother to Bri'asia Bryant. Her eldest son Bryson initially hid his girlfriend's pregnancy from the her but now that Bri'asia is here NeNe is a doting grandma.
“I only found out about everything because I ran into Ashley when she was more than six months along. I said, ‘You look pregnant.’ and she said, ‘Hasn’t Bryson told you?’ But he hadn’t because he knew that I wouldn’t approve of him having a child so young. I didn’t feel like he was ready for such a big responsibility. I was his age when I had him, so I know how tough it is. I didn’t want
him to make the same mistakes that I did. I needed to let it sink in.”

Evelyn Lozada May Be Forced To Pay Back $90K From Wedding
Evelyn Lozada and her now estranged husband Chad Johnson may be forced to pay back the debt from their wedding in St. Maarten.
Chad and Evelyn’s wedding took place on the island on July 4th with a host of guest. In an effort to boost tourism the Finance Minister Roland Tuitt confirmed they forked over $90,000 to cover the wedding. The investment was made in hopes that the couple’s wedding special “Ev & Ocho” would have increase tourism for the island. As we all know, Evelyn has filed for divorce after 41 days of marriage and VH1 has dropped “Ev & Ocho” from its fall lineup with no plans of adding it back.
The minister released this statement,
“When someone is investing in business it’s a risk they are taking and if something happens then they will have to deal with consequences. Naturally, we have a contract with Johnson and Lozada and that contract has some clauses inside of it and St. Maarten will use those clauses if necessary.”

Kanye West Lands On List Of American Idol Judges
There has been constant speculation over who will be the new American Idol judges—and now another intriguing name has been added to the long list of potential candidates: Kanye.
According to TMZ, rapper Kanye West
has been approached about the position and is interested, according to a
source, but he has not made a concrete decision. In addition to West,
Nicki Minaj is also reported to be in talks with Idol producers, but she
hasn’t confirmed her involvement either. The only confirmed new judge
is singer Mariah Carey and, according to various reports, she isn’t
happy about the possibility of Minaj joining the lineup because she
thought she would be the only female judge.
Although Carey’s
displeasure hasn’t been confirmed, she seems to think one of her famous
friends would be perfect for the role. Carey tweeted a picture of her
and rocker Lenny Kravitz with a caption suggesting she thought he
deserved a spot as an Idol judge. “”@American Idol what’s going on? need
the info!! What about this combo? : ) if we could ever get him to do
it,” she wrote. Read more here.

Michael Vick Likely Out For Remaining Preseason
Michael Vick still seems to be a walking target every time he steps out on the football field.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is likely done for the
remainder of the preseason after being knocked out of his second game in
as many weeks.
Coach Andy Reid intimated Tuesday that it was unlikely that the
three-time Pro Bowler would take another snap prior to the team’s season
opener at Cleveland on Sept. 9.
“I’m just going to play it by ear,” Reid told reporters following
practice. “I’m not going to say anything about where we’re at with that
right now.”
Vick left Monday night’s win at New England just six plays into the
game after being leveled by Patriots linebacker Jermaine Cunningham and
hurting his ribs. Vick lasted just six plays before injuring his thumb
against Pittsburgh the week before.
X-Rays taken at the stadium showed no broken bones or fractured
cartilage, as were the MRI and CT scan he underwent on Tuesday. Vick,
instead, bruised his ribs and the soft tissue surrounding it. He also
needed X-Rays on his thumb, which were also negative. Read the rest here.

Chris Brown's Mother Wants Rihanna To Tell The Truth

Chris Brown's mother was not a fan of Rihanna's interview with Oprah. On Sunday night Oprah scored her second highest ratings with 2.45
million people tuning in to watch her pull out an emotional interview
from the 24-year old singer. Of those millions was Chris Brown’s mother
Joyce Hawkins. During the 60 minute clip Rihanan confessed to still
loving Chris, rebuilding their friendship and getting butterflies
whenever she sees him again.
“{We are} not seeing each other.” But the two have been “working on
our friendship again, and now we’re very, very close friends. We built
up a trust again. And that’s it. We love each other and we probably
always will.”
Joyce’s response to the pop star’s confession?
“TELL THE TRUTH AND SET YOURSELF FREE.”
“NOT UNTIL YOU TELL THE TRUTH WILL YOU EVER BE FREE!!!! PEACE SOMETIMES COMES WITH A PRICE”
“DID YOU SAY SOMETHING? DID IT HELP ANYONE?”
Yikes!

Vanessa Bryant Slams Gold Digger Label
For the record Vanessa Bryant is not a gold digger.
Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa Bryant set off a media firestorm when New
York Daily News released portions of her interview that quickly
reaffirmed for many that she’s a gold digger. The paragraph that caused a
hail of criticism to descend on the 30-year old when something like
this;
“I certainly would not want to be married to somebody that can’t win
championships. If you’re sacrificing time away from my family and myself
for the benefit of winning championships, then winning a championship
should happen every single year.’
It’s easy to see how Vanessa’s comment could be “misconstrued” so she released a statement to clarify, I’m sad to hear that comments in my New York Magazine interview are
being misconstrued and taken out of context. I have and will continue to
support my husband’s dreams. I have been with Kobe for 13 years. I
accepted his marriage proposal PRIOR to him winning any of his 5
championships with his teammates. Read the rest here.

Beyonce Refuses Oprah Winfrey Invite
Oprah Winfrey won't have the chance to work her magic on Beyonce or hip hop veteran Lauryn Hill. Oprah confirmed both Lauryn and Beyonce have turned down her offers on Twitter.
One follower asked, “@Oprah GET LAURYN HILL ON YOUR SHOW ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”. The media mogul responded, “..tried. She said no.”
Lauryn would certainly be a ratings score for O’s OWN network with her recurring tax trouble and her decision to unplug from the matrix of the entertainment industry. Just this morning reports surfaced that another $440K was levied against Lauryn.
Beyonce is still a hot commodity despite sitting down with Oprah several times in the past and lady O is well aware. She tweeted a follower, “See if you can convince Beyonce, I haven’t had luck yet.” Time will tell.

LeBron X Basketball Shoes Comes With $300 Price Tag
Are you ready to be like LeBron?
It’s gotta be the shoes. Or at least that’s what Nike is banking on
when it unveils its new LeBron X basketball shoe later this year. The Wall Street Journal
is reporting that the more sophisticated version of the shoe that will
include motion sensors to track various metrics—including how high the
player jumps—will retail for a whopping $315.
Not all analysts agree the price will be quite that high, but concede that the day of the $300 shoe is now upon us.
Nike officials declined comment about the accuracy of the projected price when asked by ESPN.
It was back in 1986 that Nike’s Air Jordan broke the $100 basketball
sneaker barrier. The company eclipsed the $200 price tag 16 years later
with the release of the Air Jordan XVII. Read the rest here.
