Domestic Violence Experts Weigh In On Chris Brown And Rihanna Interviews
Domestic Violence "Experts" couldn't miss out on analyzing the record breaking Rihanna 20/20 Interview and Chris Brown's Interview. And of course, Chris Brown after his interview responded to Rihanna's interview saying,
"While I respect Rihanna's right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes."
That didn't sit too well with the "experts" specifically Terry O'Neill, President of the National Organization for Women and a victim of domestic violence who interpreted his statements differently saying,
"Chris Brown [wrote that statement] to Rihanna in which he said he believed his battery on her should remain a private issue. That's what batterers need, they need it to be shameful and keep it a secret," she said.
"If it's secret, they can deny it and minimize it and claim that it was merely a temporary slip on the straight and narrow path and what really counts is that they're a good person on the straight and narrow now," she added. Brown stated several times in the interview that he was getting help and that he would never do such a thing again, hoping that his speaking out would help others. But O'Neill said the language the 20-year-old singer used to describe the assault made her think that Brown has not fully faced up to his actions.
"If he can't deny it, then he can minimize it and talk about 'When it happened,' 'When the incident happened,' not 'When I committed the assault,' " she said. "It's a non-denial denial, which is classic behavior. He says he wants to teach others not to do this by simply saying, 'Don't do it?' That's not teaching others not to do it. Watching this makes me think his whole focus is on putting this behind him."
Boy Chris Breezy can't catch a break! I hope he is getting some help for his obvious wrong actions but I wonder if they ever thought that maybe he's attempting to protect Rihanna's reputation?? Because clearly Chris Browns back up dancers tweets suggest the whole story is not revealed!

Nicki Minaj Defends Her Written Ryhmes
Nicki Minaj defends herself against critics who rode on her for not free styling at the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher. Nicki had this to say in her defense:
"How many people on that cypher do you think spit off the top of their head?" Minaj fumed to Richmond, Virginia, radio host TT Torrez last week. "I don't write off the top of my head. I can't come up with those punch lines and metaphors off the top of my head. Everybody besides KRS-One, who else can you name that spit off the top of their head? They will tear apart a female, like, 'She did a good verse, but she wrote it.' ... The only thing that matters is that I wrote on a paper and memorized it. Wayne never wrote my sh--. No one ever wrote my stuff."
Umm...according to Jay-z he completes a whole album off the top without writing down a word and a few more artist other than KRS. But I see her point though, not every artist will have the same creative process, it can't hurt to build up on both skills - just a little tip for you there Nicki. Especially being a female in the game.

Beyonce Accused Of Stealing Lyrics; Trial Next Month
Beyonce doesn't get any rest, just when you think all is well between her and her hubby Jay Z out comes the haters! Beyonce is being dragged to court next month by a man who claims that her hit with Destiney's child 'Cater 2 U' was actually penned by him:
Chicago songwriter and performer Rickey Allen says it’s his song, and a judge has given the green light for a jury to hear his claims against Mrs. Jay-Z.
Allen first copyrighted his “Cater 2 U,” — with the same spelling — in the mid-1990s. He performed the song locally and updated the copyright three times, as recently as 2000.
Allen’s song is about “relieving the stress of a significant other, and getting them to relax.” He says Destiny Child’s version contains similar steamy lyrics.
“Do we say [Beyonce's] responsible for copying? Yes. But there’s no such thing as innocent copying, even if it’s unintentional,” said Allen’s lawyer, Matt Wildermuth. “The jury will decide the notion that these are simple coincidences.”
Allen says he passed a copy of his “Cater 2 U” to Chicago remixer Maurice Joshua, and the two planned to collaborate on a demo.
Huh? Why would a dude write a song entitled 'Cater 2 U'? About drawing bath water and foot rubs?!? Sounds mad suspicious. Like BIG said ' Mo Money, Mo Problems'.

Sammy Sosa Wants To Be Lightskinned
Ex-baseball player, Sammy Sosa, showed up at an event last night looking like a character out of Star Trek (The Next Generation, not the original). According to an ex-Cubs assistant who told the Chicago Tribune:
"He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin," Chicago Cubs employee Rebecca Polihronis told the Chicago Tribune. "He was surprised he came out looking so white."
Really? Yeah, and those needles you were taking weren't steroids, they were for smoothing out wrinkles!! Sometimes a picture is worth 5,000,000 words!

Tahiry & 50 Cent: Is That Yo Chick?
Joe Budden's ex-girlfriend Tahiry was recently spotted all hugged up and touchy-feely with 50 Cent. This is only two weeks after their VERY PUBLIC break-up. Including Joe Budden calling up a radio station where she was doing an interview and heating up the discussion into an argument about who is riding off of the other's publicity! Well, Mr. Budden, it looks like Ms. Tahiry's cushion wasn't made for riding off of one man's coattails. 50 Cent is known for taking other rapper's baby mamas!!!
