Morgan Freeman Says Obama Is Not First Black President
The question of whether Obama could really be called black when he had a white mother has come up before. But in a country where people have historically been called “black” if they had just a drop of black blood, most people (including Obama himself) have come down on the side of just calling him black. Not so with Freeman, who made his remarks on NPR’s show “Tell Me More,” hosted by Michel Martin.
“First thing that always pops into my head regarding our president is that all of the people who are setting up this barrier for him … they just conveniently forget that Barack had a mama, and she was white — very white American, Kansas, middle of America,” Freeman said. “There was no argument about who he is or what he is. America’s first black president hasn’t arisen yet. He’s not America’s first black president — he’s America’s first mixed-race president.”
But regardless of whether he’s seen as black, white, or mixed, Freeman said the treatment of him by the Republican party has been harsh.
“He is being purposely, purposely thwarted by the Republican Party, who started out at the beginning of his tenure by saying, ‘We are going to do whatever is necessary to make sure that he’s only going to serve one term,’ ” he said. “That means they will not cooperate with him on anything. So to say he’s ineffective is a misappropriation of the facts.”
Freeman made his comments during an appearance to promote his new movie, The Magic of Belle Isle, which he said appealed to him because “It was my chance to play a drunk.”
Freeman plays a novelist who is partially paralyzed and is struggling with both writer’s block and alcoholism when he befriends a family living next door to his cabin at Belle Isle.

 Morgan Freeman Death Rumors Are Spreading all over the internet, but no major news outlets have confirmed the story. There are reports that CNN falsely reported the death of Morgan Freeman and then retracted the story. So as of now Morgan Freeman is still alive and well, and may have been the vicitim of another celebrity gossip news hoax.

Morgan Freeman Denies Being The Voice Of NC Republican Ad
Morgan Freeman - Actor Morgan Freeman may have one of Hollywood's recognizable voices, so it's a surprise that he's denies being heard in an attack ad against North Carolina Democrat David Price. The queries have gotten so far that Morgan Freeman had to release the following statement:
These people are lying. I have never recorded any campaign ads for B.J. Lawson and I do not support his candidacy," he said in a statement on Monday. "And, no one who represents me ever has ever authorized the use of my name, voice or any other likeness in support of Mr. Lawson or his candidacy."

Morgan Freeman And Wife Finalize Divorce
Morgan Freeman and Myrna Colley-Lee have finalized their divorce, ending 26 years of marriage. The divorce was made official on September 15 and the terms of the terms are sealed according to William R. Wright, an attorney who represented Freeman.The couple initially separated in December 2007 and filed for divorce in July 2008.
“It was done without a trial,” said Wright. “Everybody is glad it’s over.”
The Academy Award winning actor and Colley-Lee, a theater and film costume designer, married on June 16, 1984. Both parties live in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. Man who gets divorced after 26 years?

Morgan Freeman Rides The 3-D Wave In New Dolphin Movie
Hollywood veteran, Morgan Freeman, is set to star in a new movie - oh and it's 3-D *gasp*. Following the success of Avatar, every movie in Hollywood has decided that the only way to squeeze an extra $3 out of their audience is to give us 3-D glasses headaches. And apparently, it's working. In Morgan Freeman's new movie 'Dolphin Tale', Morgan plays a doctor who creates a prosthetic fin for a dolphin to help it swim again. Of course, it's a family movie - like most other 3D pop flicks - and tells the tale of a young dolphin who loses its fin in a crab trap and how it gets back in its feet (tail?). We're sure PETA is bound to endorse this movie, along with Harry Connick, Jr. and Ashley Judd who also co-star in the movie.

Bruce Willis And Morgan Freeman Get Red Over New Film Project
Actors Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman have joined forces to bring to life a DC Comic which goes by the name 'Red'. The movie, which bears the same name, centers on Bruce Willis' character, Frank Moses who, according to the press release: "a former black-ops CIA agent who is now living a quiet life. That is until the day a hi-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him. With his identity compromised and the life of the woman he cares for endangered, Frank reassembles his old team (Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren) in a last-ditch effort to survive." Isn't Hollywood great, where'd these guys get an idea like taking a comic book and turning it into a movie. Originality is so cool.

Morgan Freeman Attempts To Resolve Church And Science For The Discovery Channel - Updated
Actor Morgan Freeman, has played God in more than one movie (Bruce Almighty & Evan Almighty). Now, he's taking his god complex one step further with his new gig, attempting to join faith and science and find the meaning to life, the universe and everything. On the Discovery Channel's new show, Morgan Freeman asks, "Was there a Creator?" But don't expect the obvious answer from an Alabama church boy, like Morgan Freeman:
"It is hard for me to get my mind wrapped around the idea that there is an extra, corporal — shall we say, intelligence — that controls everything," Morgan Freeman said.
And Morgan Freeman isn't the only black person that the Discovery Channel is tapping for some science work, Whoopi Goldberg is working on a science-related game for the network that is due this fall, while Will Smith is prepping the network's "Young Scientist Challenge." Kudos to the Discovery Channel for some well needed diversity.

Actor Morgan Freeman Left Hand is Not fake
 Is actor Morgan Freeman left hand fake? Some people are noticing his left hand, which is still limp from an accident in 2008 and wondering if it is fake.
The facts: Morgan Freeman’s left hand is not fake but was injured in a car accident. Freeman was in car accident near Ruleville, Mississippi on August 3, 2008 when the car left the highway flipping several times. Morgan Freeman told he press around the time, ” I wound up with a lot of nerve damage in my arm, so the hand is still paralyzed. So until the nerves get down there…”"

Morgan Freeman is Driving Ms. Edena!
If this is true, then it is just nasty and sick with a touch of disgusting. Rumor has it that Morgan Freeman-yes, old azz Morgan, has been getting it on with his step-granddaughter Edena who is 27 years old and he is 72. ( Barf!)
"Reportedly the affair has been going on since she was a teenager, but it was kept very quiet until Freeman split with his wife at the beginning of last year.
Freeman took the step-granddaughter to the premiere of the Dark Knight, where Bowden says there were reports the two were remarkably close, possibly even too close, as they spent the night holding hands, cuddling and giggling."
This affair is what also supposedly broke up Freeman marriage to Edena's mother! I hope this isn't true because it is plain scandoulous.
