Lil Wayne Recovering After Second Seizure
Rapper Lil Wayne has been released from a hospital in Louisiana after
suffering a second mid-air medical complication in as many days.
The star’s representatives downplayed a reported emergency on
Thursday, insisting dehydration and a severe migraine were to blame for
the hitmaker’s mid-flight health scare, that prompted the pilot of his
private plane to land in Texas – so Lil Wayne could seek medical help.
He was “successfully released from the hospital after being treated” and sent home to rest.
But on Friday, the rap star was back in hospital following another mid-air emergency – this time over Louisiana.
He was admitted to Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, treated and released, according to TMZ.com.

Lil Wayne Overtakes Elvis Presley For Most Billboard Hot 100 Hits
Lil Wayne’s very high opinion of himself will only be heightened
further, now that it has been announced that Weezy has surpassed The
King, Elvis Presley, with the most Billboard Hot 100 hits.
He reached the milestone this week because of his feature on The Game
song, “Celebration,” which debuted this week at #82 on the chart. That
gave Wayne a total of 109 songs on the chart, passing Presley’s 108
accumulated between 1958 and 2003—yes, he was still hitting the charts
26 years after he died in 1977).
Maybe we should start calling him King Wayne now?
Nah.
Wayne achieved this milestone due to his having become a ubiquitous
presence on songs by other artists. Of his total of 109, only 42 of them
(39 percent) were on solo projects, while 67 were features on songs by
artists such as Juvenile, Drake and Destiny’s Child.
Presley is still the king when it comes to solos. Elvis didn’t do a
whole lot of collabos. The artists right behind Presley are James Brown
(91), Aretha Franklin (73) and Ray Charles (72)—as usual, Elvis is
staking his claim on ground owned by black artists. Read more here.

Lil Wayne And Drake Refuse To Part With $400K To Club Promoter
 Lil Wayne and label mate Drake are requesting a judge to overturn a $432,337.50 judgment over a failed club appearance. According to Cahuenga, Inc Lil Wayne and Drake were booked to perform at a 2011 event but where nowhere to be found. The rappers are firing back claiming they "were never told about the appearance, never signed ANY contracts and were never even served with papers to show up in court." The show was reportedly booked by a third party who had no authority to book Lil Wayne and Drake.

Lil Wayne Settles $20 Million 'Lollipop' Lawsuit
 Lil Wayne has developed quite the reputation for not paying his producers. One case involved producer Darius Harrison who worked on 'Tha Carter III' including Wayne's hit 'Lollipop'.
Darius alleges the album grossed $70 million but he didn't receive any credit and therefor no money. The producer decided to sue Wayne for $20 million to call it even. It's unclear if he received his initial request but the case was settled for an undisclosed amount.

Drake Admits Sharing Women With Lil Wayne
 Rapper Drake happily admitted to accepting his label boss Lil Wayne's sloppy seconds. Now that Drizzy is big man around campus he isn't embarrassed to reveal his past transgressions. In an impromptu freestyle rap for GQ magazine he stated,
"Diamonds hang around my neck, the crib is all finished/No love for these *****es I said this year it’s all business/ It is a shame that a couple of ‘em are off limits/ No offence to my n***a, It’s just the industry’s small, we all lust for the same women," Drizzy spits.
"You know the ones we saw before we came in it, I know we aint tripping. I know I got a couple things that Lil Wayne dipped in, ain’t ashamed to admit it."

Lil Wayne Lands In Top 5 Of Billboard Money Makers List
In the year 2011 Lil Wayne earned $23.1 million according to recently released numbers by Billboard for it's money makers list. Wayne landed at no. 5 behind Lady Gaga, Kenny Chesney, U2 and Taylor Swift.
The rankings were based on U.S. income sources from tours, albums sales and publishing royalties. Billboard said in a press release that it didn’t factor in “sponsorships, merchandise sales or synchronization deals.”
Wayne is also celebrating his recent cover story for CCS, a popular skateboarding magazine. Lil Wayne said of the shoot, "I just want to introduce my world to their world. I'm trying to bring you into their world so you can see why I wanna do this and I why I love this so much."

Lil Wayne's Girlfriend Rocks Huge Ring On Ring Finger
 Lil Wayne and his girlfriend Dhea sat court side at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat Heat game this past weekend. Weezy's girlfriend was spotted rocking a huge ring on her ring finger. On Valentine's day rumors surfaced that Lil Wayne proposed when he tweeted, "She said Yes" but it turned out she only said yes to being his Valentine and to that 12 carat ring worth around $1 million.
If Lil Wayne's recent tweets are any indication it may not be long before Dhea does become Mrs. Carter.

Rick Ross beat out Drake, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Jay-Z as the hottest MC in the game via a new list released by MTV.
"Rick Ross makes raw records, he makes street records. When he gets on a verse, his beat selection is impeccable," said MTV Jams' Tuma Basa. Adding that label mates Meek Mill and Wale have Ross to thank for making the list. "He's making other people hot, and these are people, without Ross, may not have been on this list. Lil Wayne Denies Engagement To Dhea On Twitter
 Is Lil Wayne engaged to his cocktail waitress girlfriend Dhea?! Weezy and Dhea made their debut as a couple last summer when they were spotted on vacation in South Beach soon after they were regulars sitting court side at basketball games. The day after Valentine's Day Wayne tweeted, "She said yes!" While it's not a direct confirmation, let's consider it's a day after the romantic holiday and after rumors surfaced that Dhea's pregnant - not that Weezy has a reputation of marrying all his baby mothers - but you get the picture.

Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, and Lil Wayne Confirmed For The Grammys
Chris Brown will touch the Grammys stage on Sunday night for the first time in three years. While Rihanna will also perform it's unlikely she will cross paths with Brown. MTV news confirmed Chris will take part in a special performance including Lil Wayne, Foo Fighters, deadmau5 and David Guetta. The special performance highlighting the popularity of dance/electronica movement will take place in a tent outside the Staples Center.
Nicki Minaj also confirmed she will perform a new track, Roman Holiday while Alicia Keys will join in a tribute to Etta James.

Lil Wayne Named In Fight Involving Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver
 Lil Wayne is such a rider for the Green Bay Packers that he thought it was OK to taunt their rival team the Dallas Cowbows and in particular their wide receiver Dez Bryant in Miami recently.
Reportedly Dez was being taunted by an unknown "famous rapper" and his entourage about his play on the field and his financial issues at LIV nightclub in Miami. The heckling resulted in a brawl though no arrests were made.
A source confirmed to the Herald reporter that the "famous rapper" was indeed Lil Wayne.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was involved in an altercation with rapper Lil Wayne over the weekend. It's been reported that the altercation occurred at LIV nightclub in Miami, Florida when Wayne began taunting Bryant about his unimpressive performance this season along with his financial and legal issues. A fight broke out from there. Lil Wayne, nor his camp, have provided a statement yet, but Bryant's mentor, David Wells, stated that the Cowboys WR had not been arrested, despite earlier reports.

Lil Wayne Working On Prison Memoir
Lil Wayne is making the best out of his experience in prison. The Young Money rapper has teamed up with Grand Central Publishing to release 'Gone Till November.'
The memoir will reportedly tell the stories of Wayne's 8 month experience in Riker's Island.
The executive editor Ben Greenberg tells the Hollywood Reporter,
"He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing.”
"Gone Till November" is set to hit store shelves November 28, 2012.

Drake Fears No Hip Hop Artist And Really Loves Serena
 Drake may openly express his emotions, like all the time, but don't take his "softness" for weakness. The "Thank You" rapper who's sophomore album 'Take Care' drops today opened up to Complex magazine and his fears and love.
On his fears:
Dying, before I accomplish all this. That’s it. My father taught me: ‘Don’t fear any man. Don’t ever fear another person.’ I don’t get myself mixed up with stupid sh*t. I get a lot of love. I don’t feel tension. I stand 6’2″. By no means am I the most threatening guy in the rap game, but there are very few people who will come up and say that sh*t to me in person. It’s always all smiles. That’s one thing I do not fear, anyone in this game. Nobody. Especially none of these guys that are paid to talk sh*t.
If somebody wants to bring a problem to me, it’s strictly based off of their immense amount of hate for me,” he says. “It’s never because I’ve sparked that using my voice, my image, or my outlet. I never use my outlet for confrontation or negativity, ever. I always try and give people music to ride to and music to enjoy. All I ever ask in return is that it’s mutual love.” Is that too much to ask? Maybe. But what can you do when the love turns to hate? “I’m ready for whatever,” he says. “I don’t give a f*ck. Lil Wayne Threatens To Knock Stalker Fans Head Off
Lil Wayne was in no mood to appease his fans when they invaded his private space at his Los Angeles mansion. According to text from a video two female male fans are overheard saying,
"I'ma scream out his name until he f**king open. That n**ga opening the f**king door, I'll get arrested but f**k it." At this point the women are reportedly in his driveway.
Weezy actually steps outside to confront the "stalker" but he was no mood for play.
"Weezy, can we get a quick picture bro?" Asked one of the fans.
"Yo, do me a favor, get the f**k out this neighborhood, or get your head knocked the f**k off, do that... Get the f**k out this neighborhood homie."
Despite their bold move to bombard Lil Wayne's driveway the fans sped off before the incident escalated....Update: One of the fan's identified himself as Alex Rodriguez. On Twitter he clarified he wasn't a "stalker" but a dedicated fan who wanted an autograph for his Carter series.

 Drake may not care to jump into Jay-Z and Lil Wayne's feud but he is making it known who he rolls with it. The Young Money prodigy credits Wayne for his success. He tells GQ:
I’m just riding with Wayne, always. I’ll never sit here and say that Wayne compromised me. I’m just doing what I got do. I’m a Cash Money soldier. That’s who I ride for. [...] Wayne’s done way more for my career than Jay-Z. Wayne is the reason I’m here.
On J Cole:

Evelyn Lozada Inks Publishing Deal With Lil Wayne's Cash Money
 Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada has inked a publishing deal with Cash Money Content (Baby, Lil Wayne) to release her first novel The Wives Association.
The novel will be written by Lozada and Courtney Parker who previously wrote for Law & Order: Criminal Intent. According to Hollywood Reporter, the novel will "be loosely based on Lozada’s life, using the alter ego Eve Inez-Landon to fictionalize the true stories she has learned from years of dating professional athletes."
Evelyn said of the project:
“The stories that you hear—what goes on in these relationships, and just being in that circle—I decided to let everyone experience a piece of it for themselves by writing this series of juicy novels.”

Lil Wayne is not cutting Nicki Minaj any slack. The Young Money boss reveals in a recent Vibe magazine interview that Nicki Minaj has a lot more to offer.
“I'm not satisfied with anything she's done,” Wayne said. “I believe she can do a whole lot more, and I believe she will do a whole lot more. It's not shocking, and it's not surprising. It's quite fitting. But other than that, it's nowhere near the end.”

Lil Wayne Sidesteps Drake 'Take Care' Criticism
 Lil Wayne's protege Drake is receiving some criticism over his sophomore album 'Take Care'. Drake received mixed reviews after releasing the first single 'Marvin's Room' and now he's criticized for being too emotional.
Lil Wayne however is nothing but boastful of Drake's album,
"I actually haven't got a chance to listen to all of it, but I heard a few songs. I can tell, you know, I don't know nothing else out there that can touch it, including my stuff. That kid is on another planet."
Drake was unapologetic about his emotional rants;
"If I worried about how I'm gonna look saying this, then I wouldn't make half the music I make. People nitpick at me for being emotional or tapping into emotions, but like, man, we all die one day; that's just how I want to be remembered."

Lil Wayne Releases Confusing Public Service Announcement On Sizzurp
 Rapper Lil Wayne may have a skill for masterfully twisting his words on tracks but a one on one appears a bit more confusing.
In what's being called a public service announcement, Lil Wayne attempts to warn people against drinking that purple drank. Weezy explains he didn't begin drinking the combination of cough syrup, codeine and promethazine because he wanted to be cool but because he was following his idols at the time. Namely Pimp C - who by the way died four years ago at the age of 33 after an accidental overdose on this same combination.
Lil Wayne states,
“I started drinking it because I’m from the south, New Orleans” Wayne says in the video clip. “We grew up on UGK and Ghetto Boys, and people been drinking syrup for years. That was where it was made popular.”
“I’m human. Just like I was young and I watched Michael Jordan, game six, and you’re gonna go right into my driveway and shoot a round,” he explains. “Well, I was also young and listened to Pimp C and he’d say ‘we was drinkin’ that lean’… so I picked the cup up.”
Perhaps the most confusing part is watching Lil Wayne carry a two-stack styrofoam cup and holding up a full bottle of the prescription. Though he quit the drug over a year ago...?? At the end of the video Wayne states he used to take the drug because he was sick? Sick to follow Pimp C and others into a terrible habit? Sick from an actual addiction? Honestly it's not very clear.
Let's just hope Weezy was drinking juice in his styrofoam cup and his full bottle of prescription has since expired. Watch the video - what do you think?

Jay-Z Considers Lil Wayne Beef Nothing But A Sport
 Jay-Z and Lil Wayne may have the inside track on how to create and diffuse a rap beef in one fell swoop. Jay-Z dropped a verse on his Watch the Throne album that was immediately taken as a diss to Birdman, Lil Wayne's mentor.
Lil Wayne responded with his own diss directed at Jay-Z on his Carter album. Nothing major came of it, except for Lil Wayne selling nearly 1 million copies in one week. Lil Wayne told Vibe about the beef,
"Every man should know the repercussions and consequences behind whatever they do before they do it. And of course, I know there won't be any repercussions behind what I did."
Jay-Z is apparently in on the secret when he told MTV, "That's sport, that's rap music. Nothing is going to change but the participants."
Someone should have told that to 50 Cent who has a tendency to take his rap beefs a tad bit far...

Drake Distance Himself From Lil Wayne And Jay-Z Beef
Drake is attempting to remain out of the once again brewing beef between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. Though that may be a little difficult since Drake is featured on the song in question. Lil Wayne's "It's Good". Wayne raps,
"Talkin' about baby money, I got your baby money/ Kidnap your b****, get that how much you love your lady money. I know you fake n****, press your brakes n****/ I'll take you out, that's a date, n****."
Drake added,

When asked about the beef Drake was quick to dismiss his part in anything,
"At the end of the day, rap is an individual art," he said. "You express yourself and whatever you wanna say, you say it, so I guess that's a question for Wayne more than me."

 Fresh off her steamy performance on BET this past Sunday, Kelly Rowland has released the cover art to her third studio album "Here I Am." Kelly's lead single "Motivation" has been a major hit sitting at #1 with several remixes in rotation. "Here I Am" is expected to hit the shelves on July 26th. Kelly has collaborations with new hip hop sensation Big Sean, Lil Wayne , Pitbull and others.

Lil Wayne Slammed With Lawsuit For 'Got Money' Single
 Lil Wayne has been slammed yet again with another lawsuit. Lil Wayne and T-Pain 2008 smash hit "Got Money"'s beat was provide by production team Play-N-Skills. The team alleges that Lil Wayne owes them nearly $1 million. Reportedly, Play-N-Skills attempted to work out a settlement back in 2009, however two years later Lil Wayne and his team has yet to pay up.
Play-N-Skill filed suit this month for payment on "Got Money". Lil Wayne has gained a poor reputation for paying producers on hit tracks though many still work with the artist just to gain exposure.

Kelly Rowland's 'Motivation' Snatches No. 1 Spot
Kelly Rowland's new single "Motivation" snatches the no. 1 spot on Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop charts. This is Kelly's second no. 1 following her 2009 dance hit, "When Love Takes Over." Kelly's "Motivation" featuring Lil Wayne arrived 10 weeks ago and has climbed it's way up to the no. 1 spot and no. 21 on Billboard's Hot 100.

Lil Wayne Opens Up About Jail Stint Through 2 Pac
 Lil Wayne has found an interesting way to open up about his jail stint for gun possession. The rapper who hasn't shed much light on his time served used his performance on MTV Unplugged to do just that. According to LA Times he tells the crowd,
“A few months ago I was in a dark place that I don't like to really shed light on,” he said referring to his time behind bars last year. “Everyone always asks, 'How was it?' I figured I'd find a way to answer that question.”

Lil Wayne said previously that he knew he would have to address that experience soon but he needed the perfect words,
“I think I’m going to have to open up more because of this social world we live in now,” he said backstage after the taping. “People are going to think I’m an alien if I don’t say anything about it. You know this world we live in now you can find out anything about everybody.”
Lil Wayne's forthcoming album “Tha Carter IV” will be released June 21st just before his “MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged” on June 12 on MTV.

Jessie J - "Do It Like a Dude" hit maker Jessie J is eager to collaborate with Young Money star Lil Wayne.
Jessie J admitted to MTV UK and Rap-Up that her new track "Rainbow" was inspired by Lil Wayne. Jessie J proceeded to gush continuously about Lil Wayne and his label artist Nicki Minaj.
"I was obsessed with Lil Wayne at one point," she said.

 Jennifer Lopez - American Idol host Jennifer Lopez makes the claim that Lil Wayne may just be the best.
The Latina diva told Hot 97’s Angie Martinez that she works up a sweat to Weezy. “I was working out yesterday and I was listening to Lil Wayne and I was just like, ‘Wow. He really says some sh—,’” she said. “But I was just listening to what he was saying and I really enjoyed it. He might be one of the best out there right now. He might be the best. He’s really good.”

Magnolia Shorty Mourned By Cash Money At New Orleans Funeral
Magnolia Shorty was laid to rest yesterday morning and fellow hometown rappers Lil Wayne, B.G., Juvenile, Mack Maine and Baby came out to pay their respects to their former label mate. The funeral was held at the Fifth African Baptist Church in New Orleans on Thursday morning (December 30), where hundreds of fans gathered outside the church to pay tribute to fallen hometown rapper Magnolia Shorty.
The closed funeral began at 11 a.m. A 1,000 friends and relatives packed into the brick house of worship while the street outside was overflowing with nearly 1,500 fans paying tribute to the bounce legend. Many were wearing shirts in praise of Shorty (born Renetta Lowe), 28, with messages such as "R.I.P. Magnolia Shorty" and "We Love You Renetta," as well as buttons that read "Forever 'Shorty.' "
Former Cash Money rapper and Hot Boyz member B.G. remembered his fallen comrade after the funeral.
"Magnolia Shorty was like a sister to me and it ain't just what she meant to me; it's what she meant to Louisiana, it's what she meant to New Orleans," B.G. told MTV News, noting that he was the one who brought Shorty into the Cash Money fold when she was just 12 years old. "She was the queen of bounce. She was someone you loved to be around. She was the best at what she do. I'm really speechless right now, but it ain't sunk in yet. ... She owned this city, but she was this close to ownin' the world."

Lil Wayne Arrest For Marijuana - All Charges Dropped
Lil Wayne is thanking his lucky stars tonight, as all charges against him were dropped after his detainment by Border Patrol units in Texas. This is according to his lawyer, who told press that the US Border Patrol only held Lil Wayne and 11 of his entourage members in in Falfurrias, Texas after drug-sniffing K-9 unit dogs detected marijuana on a few of Lil Wayne's tour buses. Lil Wayne Arrested On Marijuana Charges
Rapper Lil Wayne was detained in Texas as a result of being found with stashes of marijuana on multiple tour buses. The seizure came as a result of US border patrol performing 'random searches' resulting in the K-9 units sniffing out the scent on the first bus. Officials have detained Lil Wayne and 11 other members of his entourage in Border Patrol units, while no official arrests have been made, we're sure they are pending..

As if Reality TV couldn't get any worse, T-Pain, Lil Wayne & Ne-Yo's mom's are lining up to be the next contestants on "who wants to embarrass themselves on television". Don't they have enough money already? All three of them write damn near every hit you hear on the radio today. According to one source:
"The women are in the process of producing a pilot to present to major television networks. The three women are set to talk about an array of topics from disorderly conduct in the hip hop world, to domestic issues and hot topics."

Lil Wayne Pleads Guilty: Is Jail The New "IT" Thing For Hip-Hop??
 After someone decided that it was "chic" for hollywood starlets to have babies from the young twenty-somethings to forty-somethings, tinseltown became riddled with "glowing" mothers. New boutiques popped up to service the overly paid industry moms, shows popped up about funky baby names, etc. etc. etc.
So know what's the deal in hip-hop?! Is jail the new "hood/chic" (whatever you want to call it) trend? Granted entertainment artist in general have been in and out of jail similar to pregnant hollywood stars, however there are such things called trends. And this, my dear, looks much like a trend that is unfortunately catching quite a bit of steam.
Lil Wayne, according to reports is next in line to get his jail papers for gun possession. Not to mention he has other charges from last year that have not been dealt with.  There was a crazy bidding war for Drake but in the end he signed to Universal and Young Money with Lil Wayne. Drake who enjoyed the courting of various labels including Atlantic who offering a $2million signing deal rejected all the deals and wanted to wait. Lil Wayne is practically on all his signals so naturally Young Money was courting Drake also. But Drake was apprehensive about the reputation that follows Cash Money similar to Diddy and Bad Boy. But I guess money and contractual guarantees wipes that way.
Word is that Young Money doubled the Atlantic deal - $4million! I know you have heard a few of his singles, is Drake worth it?

 After all this Lauren London's denial of Lil Wayne being her "baby daddy", the rumors have been confirmed that she is now 5 months pregnant.
" We got further confirmation of Lauren’s pregnancy from a celeb’s manager. Apparently said manager received a movie role for his client after it was first offered to Lauren. When the manager asked why Lauren wouldn’t take the role, the manager was made aware of Lauren’s pregnancy status. Jay-Z Thinks Gangstas Are No Longer Relevant
 It’s official, everyone mostly everyone thinks that President Obama is the next savior! In an interview with Cigar Aficionado Jay-z says,
“Obama represents so much hope for blacks and Latinos. The hope he represents is bigger than any of the huge problems he could possibly correct,” he said. “When you have positive role models, you can change your life for the better. The day Obama got elected, the gangsta became less relevant.”
What about you Jay-z? Was it too much for you, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and the likes to help change the image of gangstas for young kids? What if President Obama turns out to be an outright gangsta like Bush? Then what?
There is no doubt that there are positive implications from President Obama’s election but it’s disappointing for someone of Jay-z’s caliber to forget that he could have provided that same effect.

Eminem Gives T.I and Lil Wayne His Approval
Eminem took a hiatus from Hip Hop for a few years but the self proclaimed problem child is back with a new album, “Relapse”. In an XXL interview Em said that he stayed connected to what was happening in the hip hop space and felt it was “"going downhill - kinda fast" with everyone only caring “about the hook and the beat.” He had this to say about T.I and Lil Wayne keeping hip hop afloat:
"But with this new TI album, with this new Lil Wayne album of recent, it seems like things are looking a lot better now. You can appreciate Lil Wayne using different words to rhyme and actually rhyming words that you know. Or TI, where you hear s**t and you're like Whoa, ah, I wish I would have thought of that! Bow Wow has banned Lil Wayne and Kanye West from ever using auto-tune again – who?? In a recent Giant magazine interview Bow Wow expresses his disgust for the software saying,
"It makes everyone feel that if they do it then they got a hit record. It's like a slut that's being passed around, and everyone's jumping on it."
Why is everyone panties in a bunch about auto-tune?! It’s just like everything else, it gets used, abused and then it’s done – next! Many R&B singers in the past who knew how to sing used auto-tune, it’s the style of the moment that will die soon. Even Black Eye Peas is in on it - and it's a number 1 hit - LOL. Mos Def Said He’ll Take Jay-z, Lil Wayne and Kanye in Any Battle!!
 Check Mos Def on this street interview cracking at the mic man for even thinking he would loose against Jay-z, Weezy and Kanye! Mos said he would wear a t-shirt saying “WINNER” and the mic man will wear, “Ye Of Litle Faith” and then Mos wants him to record him spending the money after torturing the aforementioned rappers.
Mos Def said he would win because he is “better”, “has no fear” and “the courage to match”. The mic man still seemed unconvinced about Weezy, saying that Weezy raps “differently” and brings the “hood” with his rap, so naturally Mos spit a freestyle towards the end…nice. Check it here.

Lil Wayne Has Moved Pass The Hip-Hop Lifestyle
Lil Wayne decided to experiment with a rock album because his lifestyle doesn’t mirror that of hip-hop lifestyle. Here is a nice expletive quote from his Rolling Stones interview on this “rock lifestyle”:
“The rock sh– just comes from what my life is now. I’ve grown into this person. I woke up one morning and had three or four women in my bed where I not only didn’t know their last names, I didn’t know the beginning letter of their first names. All I know is, they’re the most beautiful women in the world, and I was in my own place, in whatever city I as in. And I could have thrown a dart at the map, and I’d probably have a place there too. I knew my driver was waiting downstairs for me. When my nose finally cleared from all the weed I had smoked, I smelled food in the kitchen and I knew it was my chef. Then I look on my phone and see a message and know it’s from a popular woman everyone knows. And when I went in the studio that night, I couldn’t just rap, ‘Yeah, n—a … .’ ”
Interesting. I thought hip-hop artist rap about this type of lifestyle all the time?! Oh..I guess Weezy was actually living it?? Lil Wayne is also suing the film company that filmed the documentary "Tha Carter" for not giving him the final word on the film. The company decided to move forward with the Sundance premiere despite disapproval's from Wayne’s manager.

Birdman has Drunk Lil Wayne’s Kool-Aid
 Birdman has been drinking the kool-aid that is Lil Wayne, here is what he had to say about his “son”:
“He can rap, he can sing, he’s just an artist,” he says. “I don’t think no one will ever be greater [than Wayne] because I don’t think no one puts in the time or the quality. If someone do come along, can you imagine what he’ll have to do? He got to put out on thousand mixtapes, do a thousand records [and] sell 100 million records. 2Pac, Jay-Z and Biggie didn’t get to the shit Wayne’s done.”
Ok, let’s begin to dissect this quote. First: Lil Wayne can’t sing! Second: Something always better comes along; it’s the nature of things. Third: Lil Wayne has not sold anything near 25 million albums much less 100 million! Fourth: Pac and Biggie have passed and should therefore not be included, but for the heck of it, both artists have produced classic albums a feat Lil Wayne has not done…yet. AND there were fewer mediums to release & market music therefore fewer albums sold. Jay-z has not sold 1 million in one week but he has also produced at least one classic album and can still challenge Lil Wayne lyrically. The man is about building empires right now not putting out numerous mixtapes!
There are however several things in Lil Wayne’s favor, he’s been rocking the mic since 12 and has improved significantly over time – you can say that he’s been in the game as long as Jay-z with a few more years to go! His work ethic has been well recognized by the industry and will likely help him produce a classic album in the future.

Lil Wayne Taunting 50 Cent
 Lil Wayne seems to think he’s the jedi master at rap battles; he has found an interesting to avoid beef while addressing the beef at the same time. Earlier this week we mentioned that Weezy completely avoided a direct question pertaining to his 50 diss on the "Louisianimal" record, but yet a week later Weezy has something to say on a new record.
On "Let's Talk Money," by the late Pimp C and featuring Lil Wayne and a sampled T-Pain chorus, Lil Wayne speaks about advice he got from the controversially outspoken half of UGK, who passed away in 2007 saying “That n---a Pimp called me before he left this b---h/ Told me keep doin' ya thing and don't tell 50 sh--."
So this is either the ignore the bully tactic and he will leave you alone or Lil Wayne telling the public that 50 Cent is not even on his level to address his silly request for “clarification”. What’s your take?

Lil Wayne Running Scared Or Just Beyond 50’s Tricks?
 When Lil Wayne recorded and “leaked” “Lousianimal” with quotes like “I hope you die ugly” 50 decided he wanted an “explanation” and “clarification” before he retaliates, because of course Weezy “don’t want it wit me”.
Except I don’t remember 50 looking for any such “clarification” from Rick Ross before pummeling him into oblivion….something seems strange. Weezy was asked in a recent interview to clarify the lyrics to the record and floated right above the questions like he had 5-too many hits of something saying, "You said it never rains in Southern California? Wow. That's why I didn't see people with umbrellas." (huh?!)
Reportedly the two artists may have a mutual respect for each other and according to Weezy’s 50 is out of his league saying some time last year, "I ain't f---ing with 50. He's too high up there…. I would never go back at 50; he's a trillionaire. I'm trying to get there, homie. I'm smart. I ain't dumb.” Selling a milli in one week clearly hasn’t changed that. Interesting……

Lil Wayne Rock Project "Rebirth" on Hold?
Looks like Lil Wayne’s rock album, “Rebirth” might start collecting some dust if his record label, Universal has anything to say. After releasing “Prom Queen” to mediocre success, the label is considering further delaying the release of the full album.
Lil Wayne’s manager has reportedly been put on notice to apply stalling tactics to Weezy pressing ahead with promoting his rock album. Reportedly label insiders has said, "If Wayne doesn't brighten up, they have to turn into Mr. Evil Record Company and just tell him it's never going to be released."
I think it’s just bad timing on Weezy’s part, it’s hard to convince a money-making record label to sacrifice loosing money after you sold over 1million albums in one week for experimental sake! Lil Wayne may have to release this one independently.

Grammy Highlights
 Boy, what did NOT happen at the Grammy’s last night?!! DimeWars already told you about Chris Brown arrested for possibly given Rihanna a beat down – appearances being cancelled left and right – and general Source Award type antics.
On a good note, Weezy won his first-ever of several Grammy’s last night, Jennifer Hudson was regal in her comeback and the “Rap Pack” was formally introduced!!

Lil Wayne Will Not Be Pouring Halo Champagne Anytime Soon
Awww, bad news guys. Lil Wayne has indefinitely postponed the release of his syzzurp flavored Halo Champagne due to the left over crap Bush gave us, called the economy.
" Lil Wayne and Milestone were ready to launch the champagne line after a couple of delays but wisely decided to hold off until the timing was better. "
This is one more celeb and their products experiencing a "man down" situation.

Lil Wayne Drops the"D" because of Deadbeat Dad
 Lil D'Wayne had a big heart to heart with Katie Couric in a recent interview. Couric asks Lil Wayne why he dropped the “D” from his real name and this dude went off.
“I dropped the D because I’m a Jr.,” Wayne explained to the CBS anchor. “My father is living and he’s not in my life. He’s never been in my life. I don’t want to be 'Dwayne', I’d rather be 'Wayne'.”
Props to Lil Wayne and this generation of hip hop kings for being more responsible fathers.

Lil Wayne - Prom Queen(1st Single Off, “Rebirth,” Rock Album)
 "Prom Queen" is the first single from Lil Wayne next Album. The new single is definitely rock with hip-hop residue, but we prefer Lil Wayne as a rapper. Lil Wayne recently announced the official release date and title of his next album: Rebirth is due April 7 — and his publicist has confirmed to MTV News that it will be a rock album. Ll Wayne will also be preforming at the Grammy Awards on February 8th.

Lil Wayne Cancels New York Concert 3xs!
 Lil Wayne was on a roll with his I Am Music tour since it started in December (08) not missing any shows and drawing big crowds. But alas New York can’t seem to get any love from Lil Wayne, for the third time in 4 months; Lil Wayne has canceled his tour stop in New York which was originally scheduled for October (08).
Weezy’s manager had a litany of excuses saying, "Now that Wayne's doing these bigger shows, he wants to make sure that all of his fans are getting the same experience. It would have been too difficult to travel with the entire band, then turn around and head to Calgary the next day. We didn't want the Rochester fans to get any less of a show because of logistics.”
The only thing Lil Wayne can do at this point is to perform a free show for his Rochester fans. Or else he can kiss that love good bye – unless those fans just enjoy being dissed over and over again.

Lil Wayne “Tha Carter” Heading to The Big Screen?
 Lil Wayne’s documentary “Tha Carter” has opened to good reviews at Sundance and may be heading to theater near you soon. It’s reported that mega movie studio Sony went on a black movie buying spree purchasing Antoine Fuqua’s, director of Training Day, new cop drama "Brooklyn’s Finest" amongst others.
One of the others in negotiation is "Tha Carter". Sony is in talks to purchase the rights to the documentary. And after the mega success of Notorious in theaters, this might be a done deal for Lil Wayne. Although if niccas keep bringing their issues to the Notorious premieres and stabbing and shooting each other then Sony might get scared – I would to. Time will tell.

 As we expected, 50 Cent has gone on a dissing rampage just in time to stir up some controversy before his February release of “Before I Self-Destruct”. 50’s new record “Play This on The Radio” opens up with a Kanye diss, "First they said that f----t's hot, then they let that junkie shine - Gave him all the f---in' trophies, tell me, where the f--- is mine?"
He went nice on Kanye, but on Lil Weezy there was no mercy, "I'm on your heels, Mr. Carter. I heard you. You want me to 'die ugly?' OK. Don't end up on the list, n---a. Be a missing person like Cam'ron, like Ja, like Joe. Who wants some?"

Lil Wayne Going all Rock and Roll
 Top lyricist Young Weezy is deciding to complete an all rock album according to Canadian rap artist, Drake. In a recent interview Drake said, "[It's] a complete rock album. I have a song on there - It’s something different just [like] 808's and Heartbreaks, just throwing individuals off." Arguably the reigning king in the rap game, Lil Wayne doing an entire rock album will leave some scratching their heads.

Killa Mike wants to rise the bar in hip hop
 Killa Mike thinks the bar in hip hop has dropped since the days of Ice Cube, Rakeem and other legendary rappers. While other artist such as T.I. Andre 3000, Jeezy and Luda are still keeping the bar high, it's sometimes drowned out by the noice of teen bop hip hop from Soulja Boy Tell'em and his associates.
Killa says "whatever you do - do it the best - if you gon do dope, you best be Jeezy, if you gon do cool rap be Tribe [Called Quest], De La [Soul]"
Hip hop needs to get back to competing in order to raise the bar, according to Mike if the top ten caliber MC's consecutively drop albums that are all different from each other, from Andre 3000, T.I., Cory Gunz, Jeezy, Weezy - hmm, didn't hear Ye in that line up - then the game can change.

Lil Wayne Documentary “The Carter” to Debut at Sundance Film Festival
Looks like Lil Wayne is diversifying his portfolio to film. No, not the kind that Ray-J slipped into via Kim Kardashian but one that will potentially propel Weezy into legendary status. Lil Wayne will be featured in a documentary called “The Carter” that will take an “in-depth” look into his life as an artist. The documentary is directed by Adam Bhala Lough who also directed the legendary reggae artist Lee “Scatch” Perry in "The Upsetter: The Life and Times of Lee 'Scratch' Perry."

Lil Wayne Owes Money to 8000 Fans?
 Lil Wayne has developed a sad little habit of canceling his much hyped concerts without notice, this time the New York Attorney General is getting involved. On October 26th, Lil Wayne had a scheduled concert at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York – Weezy canceled the show due to ‘failure to provide adequate equipment per a signed agreement’. As DimeWars reported a couple weeks back, the Rochester concert was at the top of Weezy’s “I Am Music Tour” as a make-up concert – it was canceled as well. This time because it was conflicting with rehearsals for the upcoming tour.
Something sounds a bit fishy here, now the New York Attorney General has ordered a full refund for the 8000 fans waiting to see Lil Weezy in concert. There are too many rap artists hustling for that kind of fan base, get it together Weezy!

Arab Money Remix Verse Showdown
 As if we couldn't all stop "Getting that Arab money", now Bussa'Buss, Diddy, T-pain, Akon, ya boy Weezy, and Swizz Beats got the remix.
Only one problem, these dudes can't get it together about who's gonna drop the first set of lines on track. We all know that Busta will flip it, Akon-I'm sure kills it, T-pain and Weezy will be themselves and rip it, but Diddy....I'm not sure what he will do. I guess we will have to wait for the drop.

Lil Wayne To Begin "I Am Music Tour" Tour December 6th
Lil Wayne who is closing out a monster year after releasing his sixth studio album, “Tha Carter III” is set to begin the "I Am Music Tour" on December 6. Lil Weezy wants this tour to be “more an event than a concert.” with a live band and artist from different genres. The 14-date tour will begin in Rochester, NY where Weezy had to reschedule from an October 26 appearance in the city because he was ‘unhappy with the sound system’. The tour will continue through January 2009 and will include T-Pain, Gym Class Heroes, Keyshia Cole and newly added Kerri Hilson.

LIL' Wayne's "Lollipop" Gets a Rock Remake
Rapper Lil’ Wayne’s hit “Lollipop” has reached rock star status-literally!
Nashville, TN rock band “Framing Hanley,” recorded a rock version of the hit song, which has reached number 37 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks Chart. The rock-remake is currently making its rounds on Youtube and Myspace. The band’s lead singer, Kenneth Nixon, tells Billboard that he is a huge fan of Wayne.
“He’s the originator and I hope he believes imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,” says Nixon.
Let’s just hope a royalty check comes with this rock band’s form of flattery. Lil' Wayne may be singing about "Lollipops," but I doubt he will let these rockers play him for a sucker!

Lil Wayne getting the cover of Mad Magazine as MAD TV is canceled
Mad Magazine announced yesterday that Lil Wayne would be donning the cover of their December issue. The cartoon pic of him looks like some coonery, but yet sooo real. Well quicker than they could hand over the cover, they had to snatch it back, as it was announced today that MAD TV has officially been canceled by Fox after 14 years. Word is it should be picked up by another network pretty soon.

Lil Wayne is a No-show in Boston
"Lyricist of the year", Lil Wayne was a no-show at the Monster Jam concert in Boston on Monday.
He was scheduled to perform alongside Jay-Z and Ne-yo. According to the Boston Herald, Lil Wayne refused to comply with security procedures at the TD Banknorth Garden venue and pass through a metal detector. After not getting his way Lil Wayne and his crew left the venue and returned to their hotel rooms leaving Hova to extended his set to fill the gap. What would Hip Hop do without Hova?

Lil Wayne Welcomes New Baby Boy
Hip Hop Lyricist of the year Lil Wayne welcomes his new born son into the world today. Lil Wayne's son, Dwayne Carter III, was born Wednesday afternoon (October 22), at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, a rep for the rapper told MTV News. It's Carter's second child. He has a daughter, Reginae Carter, with Antonia "Toya" Johnson, his high school sweetheart, whom he married in 2004 and divorced two years later.
