President Obama Responds To Nicki Minaj Rap About Mitt Romney
President Obama has something to say about Nicki Minaj’s rap to vote for his opponent Mitt Romney in November’s election. On the “Mercy” track Nicki rapped, “I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy bit*hes are f—–g up the economy.”
The lyric was an easy standout for the rapper’s fans who quickly called her out on the lyric. The “Beez in the Trap” rapper never responded to the criticism but as it turns out she’s not even registered to vote! Music critics were on the other side of the fence not giving much credence the lyric. President Obama isn’t either.
In a phone interview with Power 95.3 the president was asked about rap,
“Yeah, I’m not sure that’s actually what happened. But I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that but she likes to play different characters. So I don’t know what’s going on there.”

Gabrielle Union Shocked The President Listens To Jay-Z
Gabrielle Union is making her rounds to promote her latest much talked about film 'Think Like a Man'. Her latest promo stopped included Chelsea Lately. Union recalled going to dinner at the White House with Barack and Michelle Obama,
"We’ve been to their house; you guys might have heard of the White House. I guess I was thinking that they would have Pâté and this super fancy stuff so we’re trying to eat before we go, just in case they didn’t have good food."
"I’m from Omaha and [Dwayne] is from Chicago and we’re like, 'We need to eat' just in case they got too grand. So we get there, and he’s got Jay-Z playing and Janet Jackson, potato salad and baked beans and we’re like, 'Yeah!' So we ate again."

President Obama Finally Speaks On Trayvon Martin Case
President Obama was asked earlier today about his thoughts on the Trayvon Martin case. While a White House Rose Garden ceremony Obama stated,
"All of us have to do some soul searching to figure out how does something like this happen.
“I can only imagine what these parents are going through. I think every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative that we investigate every aspect of this.
Obama offered his sympathy to Martin's grieving parents saying, “My main message is to the parents of Trayvon Martin,” he added. “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon. I think they are right to expect that all of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves and we’re going to get to the bottom of exactly what happened.”

When Will President Obama Start Fighting Back?
 By Nick Chiles
Last week President Obama stepped onto the stage of the
Congressional Black Caucus desperately trying to light a fire under black folks
before the election season heats up—just as we got word that he is having
trouble eliciting campaign contributions from the army of small donors who
threw money at him in 2008. It occurs to me that the President is in such a
vulnerable state because he forgot a fundamental lesson he probably learned in
elementary school: People will have more love and respect for the guy who
stands up to the bully—even if he gets his face bashed in—than the guy who
tries to pull the bully aside and talk the bully out of beating him up.

Robert Gibbs Quitting President Obama's Administration
Robert Gibbs - Robert Gibbs, the White House press
secretary and one of the most visible and forceful advocates for
President Barack Obama, is quitting his job to become an outside
political adviser. According to reports, "The move allows Gibbs to leave
the grinding pace of the press secretary's job, make money giving
speeches and spend more time with his wife, Mary Catherine, and their
young son Ethan. From the outside, he will still be a key voice in
Obama's decision-making, and he will end up back in a pivotal role in
Obama's campaign for a second term."
Robert Gibbs said he would be leaving the White House by early February.

Former US Senator and astronaut, John Glenn, recently joined what is rapidly becoming a heated debate in the science community over President Obama's decision to potentially scrap US space shuttles and rely on international assistance to get US astronauts to the International Space Station. Sasha Obama Outdoes Everyone In Bring-Your-Parent-To-School-Day
The second first daughter, Sasha Obama, had to be embarrassed when her mom and dad visited school with scores of Secret Service and high-intensity security sweeps. After all, it was the last day of school! According to the Associated Press:
"President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama attended two school functions for their daughters, 11-year-old Malia and 8-year-old Sasha. The parents traveled to Sidwell Friends School in Bethesda, Md., for a morning event with Sasha. Reporters were not allowed inside the schools, and White House officials would not describe the events the Obamas attended."

Boondocks Season 3, First Episode Take Shots At Obama-mania

Boondocks is back, baby! The cult-classic cartoon which is in it's third season, targeted Obama's 2008 election mania as its focus and raised waved poignant points in the faces of Obama supporters. In Aaron Mcruder's classic satirical style, the episode took a cross-section of the black community and had them voice their reasoning behind voting for Obama - none of which turned out to be both reasonable and true (unless you count Riley's 'because he's black' answer). The episode closed on a monologue from grandpa Robert Freeman who declared the civil rights era officially dead (as long as he was able to get his VIP tickets, that is). While Boondocks episodes are usually there to get the one-liner laugh track off, this episode did much to jolt some thought-provoking ideas into the heads of its audience.... well... except for Uncle Ruckus.
The Obama fan club folks are not going to like this one. The Boondocks Season 3 might be the last one as a result. We hope that it is not because if episode one is any indication of what is to come, Boondocks Season 3 might be the best yet.

Clarence Thomas Wife Confronts President Obama's Agenda as "tea party" Leader
Virginia Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has been raising eyebrows recently with her decision to start a Tea Party group in her home town.

Thomas went on to count herself among those energized into action by President Obama's "hard-left agenda." So far Clarence Thomas has been silent on the issue of her wife becoming a local leader of the Tea Party movement.

President Obama Decides To Kick Public Option To The Curb
President Obama health care plan contains some great
provisions, however it does not contain the public option. Despite
hints leading up to Monday’s unveiling that Mr. Obama’s plan would
include a "public option," it does not. The health care reform package
called for by the Obama administration leans more toward the Senate
bill approved in December.
An additional 31 million Americans would have received health
insurance coverage, had the public option remained in the proposed plan by
the Whitehouse. Hopefully the president is able to get the law passed without the public option, although critics of Obama's bi-partisan-based approach remain doubtful.

Rush Limbaugh Spewing More Hate: Will Haitians Also Need To Face Death Panels?

Fresh off his previous rounds of hate speech directed at Haiti, Rush Limbaugh has more to say. This time around he wants to know, will Haitians also need to face death panels? Below are excerpts from Rush Limbaugh's most recent attacks:
"Will someone ask Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, who is Rahm’s brother and one of the lead White House people on health care whether they’re planning cost benefit considerations for each Haiti victim. Will they consider age? Potential contribution to society? All the other factors we are assured are not ‘death panel’ guidelines in our own health care system. This rescue, however compassionate, should at least have the same transparency as Obama promised for our health care. Remember he told a woman about her 95 year old mother, ‘no, no we probably wouldn’t give her pacemaker, give em a pill.’ how many Haitians will we decide to give a pill? A legitimate question."
Side note: Rush Limbaugh host one of the post popular radio talk shows in America...Where do we go from here?

The Recent Earthquake in Haiti Expose Racist Attitudes Towards Haiti and Her People
As a result of the recent Earthquake in Haiti, tens of thousands of Haitians are dead, with at least one official estimating the number could reach half a million when the full, horrifying effects of Tuesday night’s earthquake in the island nation are finally known. It is hard to imagine that anyone would use a tragic event such as this as an opportunity to spew racist hate speech. However, Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robertson has found a way to do the near impossible.
Following the Earthquake, Rush Limbaugh had this to say:
"This will play right into Obama's hands. Humanitarian, compassionate. They'll use this to, to burnish their, shall we say, credibility with the black community, the both light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in, in this country. It's made-to-order for him. That's why he couldn't wait to get out there, could not wait to get out there."

Senator Harry Reid Continues To Get Hammered over President Obama Racial Comment
Senator Harry Reid's remark that President Obama's “light-skinned” and
carrying the advantage of having “no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to

assumptions in this society. That fact however is of no value in an
election year. The republican party smell blood on this one and they
are going in. There has been calls from almost every member of the GOP
for Sen. Harry Reid to step down. The latest call has come from
Michael Steele, Republican National Committee chairman and Sen. John
Cornyn, R-Texas, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial
Committee. Our bet is that Senator Harry Reid will not step down unless there are some other things hiding in his closet.

President Obama began his acceptance speech of the Nobel Peace Prize today by asking “difficult questions” about war and peace, with the irony of the president sending troops to Afghanistan. “I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the considerable controversy that your generous decision has generated,” Obama said during his acceptance speech in Oslo, Norway. “In part, this is because I am at the beginning, and not the end, of my labors on the world stage.”

Obama Nobel Peace Prize Entire Speech Transcribed

Your Majesties, Your Royal Highnesses, Distinguished Members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, citizens of America, and citizens of the world: I receive this honor with deep gratitude and great humility. It is an award that speaks to our highest aspirations — that for all the cruelty and hardship of our world, we are not mere prisoners of fate. Our actions matter, and can bend history in the direction of justice. And yet I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the considerable controversy that your generous decision has generated. In part, this is because I am at the beginning, and not the end, of my labors on the world stage. Compared to some of the giants of history who have received this prize — Schweitzer and King; Marshall and Mandela — my accomplishments are slight. And then there are the men and women around the world who have been jailed and beaten in the pursuit of justice; those who toil in humanitarian organizations to relieve suffering; the unrecognized millions whose quiet acts of courage and compassion inspire even the most hardened of cynics. I cannot argue with those who find these men and women — some known, some obscure to all but those they help — to be far more deserving of this honor than I. But perhaps the most profound issue surrounding my receipt of this prize is the fact that I am the Commander-in-Chief of a nation in the midst of two wars. One of these wars is winding down. The other is a conflict that America did not seek; one in which we are joined by 43 other countries — including Norway — in an effort to defend ourselves and all nations from further attacks. Still, we are at war, and I am responsible for the deployment of thousands of young Americans to battle in a distant land. Some will kill. Some will be killed. And so I come here with an acute sense of the cost of armed conflict — filled with difficult questions about the relationship between war and peace, and our effort to replace one with the other. These questions are not new. War, in one form or another, appeared with the first man. At the dawn of history, its morality was not questioned; it was simply a fact, like drought or disease — the manner in which tribes and then civilizations sought power and settled their differences. Over time, as codes of law sought to control violence within groups, so did philosophers, clerics and statesmen seek to regulate the destructive power of war. The concept of a "just war" emerged, suggesting that war is justified only when it meets certain preconditions: if it is waged as a last resort or in self-defense; if the forced used is proportional; and if, whenever possible, civilians are spared from violence. For most of history, this concept of just war was rarely observed. The capacity of human beings to think up new ways to kill one another proved inexhaustible, as did our capacity to exempt from mercy those who look different or pray to a different God. Wars between armies gave way to wars between nations — total wars in which the distinction between combatant and civilian became blurred. In the span of 30 years, such carnage would twice engulf this continent. And while it is hard to conceive of a cause more just than the defeat of the Third Reich and the Axis powers, World War II was a conflict in which the total number of civilians who died exceeded the number of soldiers who perished. In the wake of such destruction, and with the advent of the nuclear age, it became clear to victor and vanquished alike that the world needed institutions to prevent another World War. And so, a quarter century after the United States Senate rejected the League of Nations — an idea for which Woodrow Wilson received this Prize — America led the world in constructing an architecture to keep the peace: a Marshall Plan and a United Nations, mechanisms to govern the waging of war, treaties to protect human rights, prevent genocide and restrict the most dangerous weapons. In many ways, these efforts succeeded. Yes, terrible wars have been fought, and atrocities committed. But there has been no Third World War. The Cold War ended with jubilant crowds dismantling a wall. Commerce has stitched much of the world together. Billions have been lifted from poverty. The ideals of liberty, self-determination, equality and the rule of law have haltingly advanced. We are the heirs of the fortitude and foresight of generations past, and it is a legacy for which my own country is rightfully proud. A decade into a new century, this old architecture is buckling under the weight of new threats. The world may no longer shudder at the prospect of war between two nuclear superpowers, but proliferation may increase the risk of catastrophe. Terrorism has long been a tactic, but modern technology allows a few small men with outsized rage to murder innocents on a horrific scale. Moreover, wars between nations have increasingly given way to wars within nations. The resurgence of ethnic or sectarian conflicts, the growth of secessionist movements, insurgencies and failed states have increasingly trapped civilians in unending chaos. In today's wars, many more civilians are killed than soldiers; the seeds of future conflict are sown, economies are wrecked, civil societies torn asunder, refugees amassed and children scarred.

Does President Obama Have A Vested Interest In Black America's Success?
President Obama spoke at NAACP 100th Anniversary event in New York this evening. For much of his 45 minutes Obama focused on issues facing the black community urging parents to put away the Xbox and put kids to bed at a reasonable hour. He also said,
“No one has written your destiny for you - Your destiny is in your hands, and don’t you forget that. That’s what we have to teach all of our children! No excuses! No excuses!”
Even as he urged blacks to take responsibility for themselves, he spoke of the societal ills — high unemployment, the housing and energy crisis — that have created the conditions for black joblessness. And he said the legacy of the Jim Crow era is still felt, albeit in different ways today.
Yet even after acknowledging that "the legacy of Jim Crow is still alive today", President Obama reverted back to his first thought saying...

Obama's Ghana Trip In July Causes Excitement and Raises Questions
President Obama has planned his first trip to sub-Saharan Africa in July. Ahead of his visit to Ghana there are talks of excitement and apprehensions. One mechanic said, "I will not work that weekend and I’ll do all that it takes to be among the crowd to wave at his motorcade — for me, that alone is fulfilling."
Other people are less thrilled, convinced that the president chose Ghana specifically because of its new found oil saying, "Is it for a mere visit or for America's gain especially in our newly found oil?"
Ghana had a peaceful election in 2008, is the US merely supporting their efforts in comparisons to other African countries or is "democracy" a cover-up for oil?

Are We Getting Played By President Obama?
Michael Eric Dyson give an analysis of President Obama after his 100 days and
beyond. He begins by expressing his regret for not receiving an invitation, "I
ain't been invited to the White House. I was the first prominent black leader to
endorse Obama in New Orleans and I live in D.C but haven't been invited..."
Dyson gives Obama poor marks for not firing Executives from AIG and other
Wall Street heads. Also saying, "It's been a major issue for Obama to embrace
blackness - He mentions Lincoln as his inspirations but not Martin Luther King,
Jr." There is no one pill that will fix both white and black problems. But he
believes Obama is willing to sacrifice African Americans...because it won't
offend white people.

President Obama: "U.S Not A Christian Nation"
President Obama was at a press conference in Turkey when he said,
"One of the great strengths of the United States is ... we have a very large Christian population -- we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."
Shocker!! Of course news stations are dissecting this left and right - (pun intended). Apparently President Obama didn't send out the memo to America first before taking his "inaccurate" views oversees. Check the short video here between the right and left wingers debating the President's comments. Surprisingly Wolf Blitzer sticks to the facts on this one. Check it. What's your take?

President Obama Committed To Hip-Hop Generation Dress Code

Plantation High School in South Florida took then Barack Obama’s word to heart when he said "brothers should pull up their pants” and just celebrated "Pull Up Your Pants Day" this past week. According to school officials it was a success saying, …the atmosphere was so positive, the kids were on their best behavior, there were no incidents..”
Another teacher gave the kids some history of pants saggin’ saying, "If your pants are saggin' and you want to adopt a jailhouse mentality, that will show in your attitude toward everything. We're not trying to take their individuality away, but there's a time and a place for everything."
Some of the kids are actually asking for “Pull Up Your Pants” Fridays! Not sure why they need a day to actually pull up their pants but it’s one more step in the right direction. Now if only they can help them actually attend and pay attention in class!!
