Michael Phelps Ready To Conquer 2012 Olympics
Michael Phelps - Olympic champion, Michael Phelps is ready to give it another go at the 2012 Olympic games. Despite his age, and the fact that he's no longer the American front-runner in the swimming arena, Michael Phelps still thinks he can come out on top:
"Being able to end your career on a great note is something every athlete wants," Phelps said, his voice picking up steam. "A lot of athletes have tried to come back and tried to come back and tried to come back. If I didn't think I was going to be able to finish on a good note, I never would've come back after Beijing. I would've just called it quits. But I had confidence in myself that I could put together four more good years to really put a stamp on my career."
Could Michael Phelps be talking about Michael Jordan, hered?

Shawn Johnson From Dancing With The Stars To 2012 Olympics Aspirations
Gymnast Shawn Johnson, who most Americans may know from Dancing With The Stars, Season 8, announced yesterday that she is planning to compete in the 2012 Olympics. Shawn Johnson confirmed that she will compete on the 2012 Olympics by saying, “It’s just exciting, but I’ve got a ways to go. This is just a start. And nothing is a sure thing, but I’m going to give it as big and best an effort as I can.” At the 2008 Beijing Summer Games, Shawn Johnson earned the gold medal for her amazing accomplishments on the women’s balance beam event. Shawn Johnson also won silver medals for the floor exercise, team competition, and All-Around title. The 2012 Olympic games will take place in London, United Kingdom, from July 27 to Aug. 12, 2012.
As long as Niecy Nash doesn't try to join the Olympic team next, we're all fine with this!
