Trina Does Her Best Nicki Minaj Impression For Source Magazine
Rapstress Trina and all the other female MCs in the game have Nicki Minaj to thank for single-handedly reviving the rap game for them. How often does a particular type of rapper come by that provides a style, lyrical content and delivery that is so grandiose, everyone in their category can rejuvenate their career by merely associating themselves with that rapper. Look at the imagery Trina is trying to invoke here on this Source magazine cover (yeah we thought the same thing - the Source magazine is still out?), doesn't she look like she just bursting to say 'massive attack' or 'it's going down - basement'??  2009 really got folx on this 'change' ish. After two decades of building their brick house with ho-tastic misogyny, the Source magazine is hanging up their pimp hat and pursuing a moral ground.
