Rihanna Gets 2nd Runner-up On Billboard To Susan Boyle And Jackie Evancho
Rihanna has been making Billboard history, but the singer could not unseat Susan Boyle from the #1 spot or top 10-year-old Jackie Evancho's debut at the #2 spot. Both Susan Boyle (335K) and Jackie Evancho (239k) made holiday albums so timing was in their favor. Rihanna has to settle for the #3 spot for her fifth album, "Loud" selling 207K copies. This marked her best U.S. chart sales debut to date, beating out the #4 debut of last year's "Rated R" (181k). Does this mean that Rihanna will no longer be living single to single? Your thoughts?

Rihanna's 'Only Girl' Director Fights (TwitFits) With Her Fans

Rihanna has recently finished shooting her video for new single ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ yesterday. However, some of the singer’s fans were up in arms when they discovered that frequent collaborator Anthony Mandler had been recruited to direct the clip.
The majority of fans had problems with Anthony Mandler's trademark ‘dark visuals’ vs the colorful vibrant they expect from the ‘Only Girl’ video. The issue erupted into a TwitFit between Rihanna's fans and Mandler. Mandler responded to the barrage of Twitdisses with,
It’s amazing how so many fans of Rihanna know nothing about our process”. Going on to add.. “That we write ideas together, decide on the look and feel as a team”
Wow!! Its not a good look to have your fans discouraging people from working with you?

Rihanna’s Label Upset By ‘Who’s That Chick’ Leak
Rihanna’s release of " Who That Chick" surprised fans and now its being reported it surprised her record label/production company, SRP Records. SRP released a statement via Twitter this weekend referring to the video as “a leak” and highlighted that the track was only supposed to be issued as a promotional club single later this year.
Rihanna’s camp also claimed that the song will not be included on her new album, ‘Loud’, when it hits stores on November 16th and had this to say about the leak.
“It’s a leak. Def Jam is pulling it down as fast as possible. The song is not a single – for the clubs only. The album is still being put together — many songs in the mix. Can’t answer for sure if it is on the album.”

Rihanna Afraid To Release Next Remix Album
It appears that Rihanna's producers are having a hard time deciding which song to release for the rushed, yet to be named, follow up album to "Rated R". They first announced that the first song of the project would be "Only Girl". Then it was switched to "Cheers," then back to "Only Girl" again. The back and forth may be a result of Rihanna's fear of releasing another disappointing album which wouldn't help her image as a single to single artist. The single is scheduled to hit US radio on September 14th.
