"Banton allegedly attempted to buy cocaine from an undercover officer in Miami, the Associated Press reports.According to court documents, Banton and two others contacted a police informant last week about buying cocaine in Sarasota. Drug Enforcement Administration agents say Banton negotiated the purchase and was observed inspecting cocaine offered by the undercover officer. If these allegations are true, Buju Banton, whose real name is Mark Myrie could face up to 20 years federal time in a US prison before being deported back to his homeland in Jamaica.

Buju Banton Arrested In Miami - Gay Conspiracy?
Buju Banton was arrested on Thursday, apparently without bail on possession of 5 kilograms ofcocaine with intent to distribute. Given Buju Banton's extensive celebrity and recent run-ins with the Gay and Lesbian organization GLAAD, we're forced to ask some obvious questions. Why would a grammy-nominated 17-year industry veteran risk his livelihood, and career over such a small amount of cocaine? He could make twice that amount doing ONE SHOW! What is even more weird is the fact that Buju Banton has been financially accosted by the gay lobbyist groups who believe that his songs contain 'homophobic lyrics'. In the past year alone, those groups have forced promoters to cancel over a dozen tour dates and even protested the Grammys for nominating his latest album, stating that talent alone shouldn't be the criteria for artists getting Grammy nods!
Do you smell a C-O-N-spiracy?
