Basketball Wives Star Evelyn Lozada Divorcing Chad Johnson
Basketball Wives Star Evelyn Lozada is filing for divorce from Chad Johnson, Chad Ochocinco and every other iteration of him reports TMZ.
In a move straight out of the Kim Kardashian playbook, Lozada is calling it quits after just six weeks of wedlock.
The couple was recently involved in a domestic altercation for which
Evelyn received a 3 inch forehead gash and Chad ended up kicked off the
Miami Dolphin football squad. Johnson insists that it was an accidental
head butt, but at this point it really doesn’t matter to the Dolphins,
Lozada or anyone else.
What matters is that the relationship, the July 4th wedding, the
reality show (which is now being cancelled) and so many of Johnson’s
decisions of late have demonstrated poor judgment and lack of focus on

Evelyn Lozada Bans Jennifer Williams From Wedding?
Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada is no hurry to invite her ex-friend Jennifer Williams to her wedding to Chad Ohocinco in less than two weeks. At the end of the reunion, Evelyn and Jennifer made up causing many to believe – after they were convinced it was real – that Evelyn would extend an invite to Jennifer to share in one of the biggest moments of her life. Not so fast. Ev revealed to Eurweb.com,
“She hasn’t been invited because everything just happened… There were things that were said about Chad Ochocinco in interviews and that’s where a lot of all of this drama stems from,” Evelyn stated. “I don’t want anyone feeling uncomfortable.”
Evelyn continues to gripe about Jennifer joining the fray to back talk her union with Chad,
“When me and Chad, when we got engaged, there was so much controversy surrounding us. Oh, they’re just doing this for a show. They are media whores. I’m like, ‘We’re really together.’ People had a lot of negative things to say and she was one of those people… and that’s what hurt me the most.”

Evelyn Lozada Meets Terrell Owens On Book Tour
Basketball Wives breakout star Evelyn Lozada has completed the last tour date for her debut book ‘Inner Circle’ according to her blog. The last date was in Dallas at a Lincoln Park book store. There are no other dates listed on Evelyn’s blog. Evelyn posted pictures of her travels and even caught up with her fiance Chad Ochocinco’s bestie, Terrell Owens. It appears that Evelyn isn’t worrying about Basketball Wives much less her co-star and former best friend Jennifer Williams who’s 2006 Bentley was repossessed over the weekend.
Jennifer was put on notice by Toyota Motor Credit Company when they filed a lawsuit in New York City requesting possession of the Bentley and Jennifer pay up the remaining $90K plus balance. Jenn’s lawyers reportedly stated her soon-to-be ex-husband Eric Williams was responsible for payments but stopped making them in 2009. Since when does it take three years to repo a car?!
Either way, much like Evelyn, Jennifer doesn’t seem to care much. Last week she was spotted on vacation looking gorgeous and if you follow her Twitter page she’s more concerned about Lucid Cosmectics and remaining positive.

Basketball Wives Fire Jennifer, Kesha And Royce
Basketball Wives (Shed Media and VH1) has reportedly fired three cast members as promised. And what may not be all that surprising—the three women cut from season five’s lineup—Royce Reed, Jennifer Williams, Kesha Nichols, are the tamer ladies of the cast. Shocker (steep sarcasm).
Royce, Jennifer, and Kesha were all given the boot supposedly to do away with “dead weight” from the controversial show, according to TMZ.
As many fans called it, Jennifer would be given her walking papers because of her pending lawsuit against fellow cast member Evelyn Lozada’s assistant, Nia Crooks.
Even if you aren’t a staunch viewer of the show, you’ve heard about the resounding smack Crooks hand delivered to Williams’ face. Producers unsuccessfully tried to get the 39-year-old to drop the lawsuit and later pegged her as a liability because she stood her ground.
Though word has it Royce was booted for discussing her child’s father going against a 2009 gag order, the better probability is her previous feud with show producer and costar Shaunie O’Neal.
Nichols, who was deemed “meek” from refusing to fight co-stars Tami Rowan and Kendra Smith in various scenes, was reportedly not brought back for another season because she didn’t bring enough flair, i.e. too tame, to the show.

 Evelyn Lozada has hit the promotional trail for her book series 'Inner Circle'. Her first stop was in the Bronx at a Barnes & Noble. Prior to her book signing in the Bronx the Basketball Wives star dished on her latest venture,
What was the process of putting this book together like and how long did it take?
Oh, man. It was sitting there, reading journals and sharing stories, and then having Courtney add her twist. I probably started this whole process with her last season, so it took a good eight months, almost a year. It definitely a while. We didn’t want to rush it, we wanted to make sure it was good but that definitely required a lot of late night conversations.
How and when did you come about with a book deal with Cash Money and can you break down what kinda deal it is?
It’s a series of three books. I’m good friends with Teresa Caldwell, who is Bow Wow’s mom and manager, and her and I were talking about the journals. She said, ‘Let me talk to Baby,’ ’cause you know her son is signed to his label and that’s how it came about. They had a convo about it. I had a few other deals on the table but when this one came about, I mean, Cash Money,—everything they touch turns to gold and they are supportive of each other. I feel good about this situation, you know?

Shaunie O'Neal Wants To Cut Three Wives From BBW
 If Shaunie O'Neal has her way Basketball Wives will be short three cast members come next season. During an interview with Kevin Frazier, Shaunie stated explicitly she would fire three cast members if she had the choice - which she should as the creator and executive producer.
On how she feels about the cast,
“Yeah. I’m uncomfortable. I’m very uncomfortable. When you just don’t know…you have that ‘I don’t know’ feeling…I run from that feeling. I am now. I had the ‘I don’t know’ feeling going into season 4 and I should’ve stuck with my gut. The feeling of, ‘I don’t think I want to do this’ but I did it, but I won’t do it again.
On is she would fire anyone. “Yes. Three. There would be three who are out immediately in Miami. No questions asked. Not in anything personal, just not where I’m trying to go. Not on the same page.” If last night’s reunion was any indication Shaunie is scared about the ladies namely Jennifer demanding justice. Evelyn Lozada Explains Luxury Hotel Diss
Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada and her fiance Chad Ochocinco will have to find another luxury hotel to host their wedding in Miami. According to reports that the duo were denied entry likely because of Evelyn's antics on popular reality TV show. Hotels from the Ritz to the St. Regis rejected their request. Now Evelyn is saving face claiming that her high profile Basketball Wives show is why the hotels turned them away.
“Being that Evelyn and Chad’s upcoming nuptials will be filmed for national television the majority of high-end hotels in the Miami area prefer not to have cameras on-site nor would they allow their employees to be filmed.”

 Evelyn Lozada is once again apologizing for her behavior on season four of Basketball Wives. In the latest attempt, Evelyn wrote an open letter to herself and even thanked Star Jones for helping her reach an Aha moment. Check it out below:
Dear Mija,

On How She became a part of the Basketball Wives LA Cast
My sister & I (Gloria) actually pitched the idea of doing a spin off series to VH1. On one of the previous seasons of the Miami show there was an episode where I was basically being attacked and lied on by a group of women who had never even met me a day in their life and that wasn’t fair to me. I felt like I needed an outlet to voice my opinions and show people who I really am and not who these women tried to create me to be.
On what people would be surprised to know about her
Probably how domestic I am. I cook dinner for my man and my children every night, do the laundry, drive the kids to school, etc. I really am a modern day housewife.
On if people should take reality shows for face value
“I think so. The show is produced. Sure, the cameras are always on but of course they’re not going to show me changing my son’s diaper or watching a movie at home with the kids after having just cooked dinner. The reason being is because that wouldn’t be entertaining. The show was created to be entertainment and so that’s what you get.”
On the biggest misconception that viewers may have about her:
“The biggest misconception would be that I’m a bully and I’m always trying to fight with someone. I’m a very nice person and the only time I have problems is when someone takes my kindness for weakness.”
On her legacy:
“That I was a hustler. I didn’t stop. I didn’t quit. I want my legacy to be that everyone who knew me loved me and was proud of me.”

NeNe Leakes Becomes To The Voice For Basketball Wives
NeNe Leakes who’s reportedly pulling in the highest salary of $750,000/season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta knows a thing or two about leveraging your personality for bigger paychecks. Certainly known for having a big mouth, the reality star can still pride herself in remaining non-violent during her four seasons on Real Housewives. As the conversations continue around VH1′s love-to-hate show Basketball Wives, NeNe had her few cents to add. During an interview with Vibe magazine she was asked,
I don’t know if you’ve been keeping track of Basketball Wives. What’s your take on whether it’s gotten out of hand?
“It’s gone way too far. The truth is the truth. It has just gone too far. Too many fights, my God! I can see if there was one here or there. And I always say to people when they say something about reality, you can say whatever y’all want about reality TV, Atlanta Housewives, we don’t do that. We definitely have had our verbal fights, but never physical fights.”
NeNe continued to echo what many viewers have grew tired of, “I can’t believe the fighting and the bullying. It looks bad. It really looks bad. I don’t like when people say it affects Black women or the Black community. I think it affects all communities. I think it looks bad on women; it looks bad on everybody. It’s just so sad; it’s so crazy to me. When I look at it, I just can’t believe it. And, you know, I’m friends with Jennifer [Williams] and she’s on Basketball Wives. I can’t believe it. I almost, you know when I watch, I’m like, “How much do they (get) paid?”

On betraying the ‘friend code’ with Jennifer:
A lot was happening during that time. I’m one of those people, I said some things and I was just like, that was not cooI. I live by loyalty and I feel like at that point I broke the friend code. I should have never broken that code and I should have never stooped down to that level. Like, if she wants to do interviews and slick comments, it is what it is. I don’t hate her. People just get caught up in this industry; you do interviews and say certain things. I truly don’t wish her anything negative, we’ve gone through a lot together as friends from moving out, men drama, all types of stuff. It’s just tough having to relive it then talk about it. You never have that time for healing. But now that the show is done and things are calming down, I’m not angry anymore about it and I don’t hate her at all. I don’t really hate anybody, I was just upset how things were handled.
She added, I miss her. We were friends for 10 years. I was in her wedding, so you know yeah, and your thinking you guys are going to do this show together, your BFF, and then your kind of like what happened? And we are mutual friends with a lot of people, so everything else became weird energy. It was tough.
On how she deals with the show’s critics:
“I’ve accepted that this is a part of my life and apart of my world now. The more the show became popular, and I started dating Chad, its been like chaos. I’m never going to hide and I’m always one of those people that say TV can be a gift and a curse, and at the same time it’s opened up doors for me that I never would have imagined.”
On Shaunie shouldering the blame for BBW:
“I’ve had conversations with Shaunie, and she is in a tough place because she wears all hats, she’s an Executive Producer, a cast mate, friend to us…it’s just tough because you’re being pulled from every angle. I can honestly say that from Season 1, Shaunie has been an advocate to find a balance.”

Tami Roman Admits Acting Like A Fool
Tami Roman visited the Wendy Williams show and finally confessed her behavior on season 4 of Basketball Wives was embarrassing. During her interview Tami told Wendy,
“I am raising my two daughters and this particular incident really taught me a valuable lesson. I wasn’t really acknowledging the platform that VH1 and Shed [Media] have offered me and I wasn’t really being responsible and for the first time I looked at my daughters and they weren’t really proud of me as a mom and they were embarrassed of me.”
“I’m making a personal vow that I will never see that look in my children’s faces again.”
Tami also confirmed she finally apologized to Kesha directly unlike her sorry apology she released after the tragic episode aired.
“I have since apologized to Kesha. I have tried to take responsibility.”

 Basketball Wives may be without an executive producer if Shaunie O'Neal decides not to return for season 5. During the season finale of Basketball Wives, Shaunie sat with her pastor Bishop Kenneth Ulmer of Faithful Central Bible Church to discuss her reputation. The bishop stated,
“This is not you. Where’s my integrity? What about the image of Shaunie? Are you willing to lose your friendship with those women?”

Kenya Bell's Estranged Husband Wants Her BBW Checks
Kenya Bell's estranged husband Charlie Bell is going after her Basketball Wives checks. According to court docs filed by Bell and his attorney, Kenya is making $300K on BBW. Prior to getting cut from the NBA Bell was the breadwinner in the home however his salary from playing overseas is only $100K so he's asking for spousal support from Kenya in their divorce.

 Evelyn Lozada shows remorse for her bottle throwing incident from season four of Basketball Wives. During the Basketball Wives reunion special Ev said,
“Every time I’m interviewed, I’m asked if there’s something you could take back from all of the seasons, it’s that moment. Not too long ago I was driving with my step-daughters in the car, and they watched that scene and they think it’s funny. But it’s not funny, and I need to be a better example.”

Tami Roman Issues Apology To Kesha Nichols
 Basketball Wives reached an epic low last night thanks to Tami Roman. On the brink of a near breakdown that required both executive producer Shaunie O’Neal and Shed Media to address the public, issue apologies and promise a more balanced show – last night’s episode reminded us exactly why the Basketball Wives boycott is on fire.
Last week’s episode showed the beginning stages of Tami Roman picking a fight with her nemesis Kesha Nichols. Prior to the second half of the childish fight the public already knew Kesha was talked out of filing a police report and left Tahiti early – now we know why. Tami’s behavior is inexcusable and now she’s issued an apology posted on Twitter.
“I just landed in NYC, but I did catch 2nites episode on the plane. As I said earlier, this was BAD, wrong & immature-I apologize…I’m not proud of my behavior, but I own up to it and face it. I do apologizee 2my family, my friends, my kids & 2 my cast members…The supporters who have been there, I’m sorry I let U down-this was not handled properly & I felt bad THEN and now….I simply ask that U b respectful 2my kids-they R NOT on BBW & do not control my actions on the show. Don’t become what U criticze….I would have blogged this but I wanted 2 address it as soon as I landed. Accept it or not, I acknowledge & apologize to ALL involved.”
It’s clear that Tami doesn’t understand the implications of her actions. Her TV therapist must be embarrassed.

Shaunie O'Neal received a slew of tweets asking about her rumored 'Basketball Wives' movie with Tracey Edmonds. The executive producer of the popular show decided to shed some light on the rumors,
How did the initial idea come about? Did you bring it to Tracey Edmonds?
Yeah, I brought her the concept and the idea. It was important for me to have other outlets outside of Basketball Wives to represent myself and who I really am and what I really would like to put out there. Because, again, I did reality TV and I can’t control that. I can’t control how everybody acts and what everybody sees. This, I can control [laughs]. If I come and I say, “This is what I envision, this is what I feel, this is what I see,” with the help of others, we sit around and collaborate on how this vision can come alive and how we can make it entertaining and how we can make people interested. And [Tracey] understood what I was saying. She got where I was coming from. We always wanted to work together on something, be it TV, movie or whatever. We sat around and talked about this for a couple months and I was so eager to make it happen because I needed some other ways to almost redeem myself. Like, this is not what I’m about people, [laughs] so let me show you. And it’s not my only way of showing but it’s a huge start. And it’s one that I know I’m gonna be 110 percent proud of
There’ve been reports about a ‘Basketball Wives’ movie in the works. Can you speak on that?
It’s fictional. It’s a movie, so it has nothing. I see people on Twitter saying, “Oh god, you guys gon’ take that and turn it into a movie?” You don’t take a reality show and make it a movie. At least I wouldn’t. It’s not a quote, unquote “Basketball Wives movie.” Even though it has to do with basketball life, it’s not actually taking Basketball Wives from TV and making it a movie. And it’s not about women sitting around arguing or lunching all the time. It’s an actual story. It’s a love story. It’s an empowering story. It’s funny. It’s life. It’s similar—we’ve taken a girl who’s just going into the NBA life and experiencing things and showing the whole story. She learns from the organization. She learns from other wives. And by the end of the story, it’s empowering for women and men. It’s so nothing like the TV show at all. No comparison.

Shaunie O'Neal Unsure If Evelyn Lozada Is A Bully
 Basketball Wives executive producer Shaunie O'Neal isn't sure if Evelyn Lozada and her cast mate Tami Roman are bullies. After a fan began a boycott that has received signatures from over 15k people plus support from the likes of Star Jones, Shaunie was forced to respond. Here's her response below:
"Sometimes It can be a bit of bullying going on because of the personalities being a lot stronger, you know like Evelyn’s personality is a lot stronger than Jen’s, so it does seem like its bullying but I don’t think Jen would think she’s bullied. I don’t think she would want to take that role of being bullied because I think she is strong in her own way. It’s just a different way of dealing with it.
People are like ‘Why do you let people say this and that?’ They are grown women but at the same time I will say, ‘You really need to bring that down like 17 notches like I don’t see why you need to come in at 50! You need to come in at like 13. Lets talk it out, let’s use our words’ , but it never ever works! Never works!"

Kesha Nichols Sheds Light On Royce Reed's Relationship
Kesha Nichols of Basketball Wives is providing an update for those who care to know the status of Royce Reed's relationship with Dezmon Briscoe. After last Monday night's episode where Royce put her "loving" relationship on display her boyfriends skeletons came running out of the closet. His baby mother posted sexual text he later denied and then later recanted. While Royce was embarrassed and hurt Kesha revealed she's giving Dez a chance.

Shaunie O'Neal Releases Statement Defending Basketball Wives
 The head B in charge Shaunie O'Neal released a statement after tempers flared and the drama escalated to new heights on Basketball Wives. Evelyn Lozada's assistant Nia Crooks is in hot water after Jennifer Williams filed a lawsuit against her for a wicked open handed slap to the face. The lawsuit reportedly has the producers upset who claim that Jennifer is full of BS. With the cast split and fans growing tired of the drama, the Jedi master of the drama released a statement,
“I’m extremely happy that Basketball Wives continues to have another successful fourth season. As the ratings have been through the roof since our season opener, fans continue to tune into the lives of Evelyn, Tami, Jennifer, Royce, Suzie and myself. As there is always controversy and indifference projected on the show, because we are all individual personalities, I always hope that people will find that as much as you may agree or disagree with the opinions, the behavior, [and] even our different taste in shoes, you are taking a look inside the lives of four complete different women. I will never say I agree with some of the behavior between my girlfriends on the show, but if we were to edit certain things out the show would be scripted and not reality.”
So now Shaunie is out right lying and saying the show isn't scripted?!

Basketball Wives Cast To Boycott Upcoming Reunion
 Jennifer Williams' lawsuit against Nia Crooks is costing her a chance to attend the reunion of Basketball Wives. On Monday night's episode viewers had a chance to see the highly anticipated scene where Evelyn Lozada's assistant walked around a table and smacked Jennifer in her face. Jennifer held a press conference on Thursday morning with her attorney to confirm she's filing a lawsuit. Despite the clear violation the ladies of BBW are standing behind Nia calling Jennifer's suit BS. Reportedly there will be no reunion if Jennifer attends.

Viewers saw the Basketball Wives completely lose her cool after her assistant smacked Jennifer in the face. You would think Jennifer would be the one raging like a bull!
"The reason why I was so hurt and affected by Jen’s comment is because, she was the same person shackin up in that 2-bedroom apartment when she and Eric were separating! Jen would literally take the ferry to Nia’s house because she didn’t have a car. At that time, Nia helped Jen and opened her doors to her when she didn’t have heat in her apartment. How can you go from making Nia one of your good friends, the person you would confide in, take vacations with, sleep at her house when you had no where else to turn and then treat her like shit?!"

Royce Reed Wants Dwight Howard Gag Order Removed
 Royce Reed wants the power to bash Dwight Howard and she wants the judge to help her. In a heated nearly three year long custody battle with Dwight Howard, Royce is requesting the gag order canceled so she can tell the public how unfit of a father Dwight really is.
Amongst other things,
-- Dwight is not morally fit to have custody of their son
-- Dwight's mental state is sketchy
-- Dwight has funny substances laying around the house the kid shouldn't see
If this is the same judge she accused of being biased towards Dwight Howard - her request is in vain.

Tami Roman Calls Out Kenya Bell's Verbal Attack On Evelyn
 Basketball Wives star Tami Roman is definitely team Evelyn Lozada! After the two reality TV stars had their falling out last season they are chummy buddies this season. Newcomer Kenya Bell found herself on both their bad side when she called Evelyn "loose" but couldn't remember how or when she said it. On Monday night's episode Evelyn threw a champagne bottle and a plate in Kenya's direction.
"I'm not sure why you tried to put a spin on it – we all know what you meant when you said it. Just own up to it," said Tami of Kenya's amnesia.
Surprisingly Evelyn admitted to going overboard with her embarrassing behavior but not before taking a few jabs at Kenya on her blog.
“For me, it honestly wasn’t about the loose comment; it was the fact that Kenya was judging, being negative and talking shit. She doesn’t know anything about me, however, she came on the show smiling in my face trying to be my friend, and all the while she was doing her little round table with other cast members and referring to me as being “loose”. That’s fake right? Tami, Suzie and I were so confused when we tried to get to the bottom of what Kenya really said and it’s sickening that she can’t keep up with her own fucking lies. And what is even more sickening is the fact that Kenya was trying to channel Jennifer and Tami. She gave up the kitten heels for Louboutins and turned the leaning wig in for a curly weave. Let me stop, because at dinner, she actually looked more like someone’s Auntie.”
“On a serious note, things went a little far and I could have handled the situation differently. I may feel a certain way about Kenya, but I know that I shouldn’t have thrown that bottle. I could have seriously injured her or one of my cast mates. I own up to what I did and admit my anger did get the best of me.”

Kenya Bell Spent Over 100k On Plastic Surgery?
 Basketball Wives star Kenya Bell stands accused of spending over $100k in plastic surgery according to new documents reported by her soon-to-be ex husband Charlie Bell. Bell officially filed for divorce from Kenya last month and filed the new documents in response to Kenya accusing him of spending money at Louis Vuitton stores in Paris while she struggle sto provide for their children.

Royce Reed Loses Battle To Remove Judge From Custody Trial
Basketball Wives star Royce Reed will have to deal with judge Tim Shea who's currently presiding over her custody case with Dwight Howard. Last month Royce and her attorney requested the judge to step down after they perceived a bias towards Dwight. Howard and his attorney accused Royce of preventing him from establishing a relationship with his son and creating roadblocks for him to his son on the already agreed upon visitation days.
Royce's request was denied as the judge refused to step down. “We believe that the judge’s ruling is erroneous and that it does not conform to the governing case law.”
It is not clear what the true relationship is between Royce, Dwight and their son but we must say after years of women receiving the benefits of a bias ruling, if Dwight is indeed trying to be a good father then he needs all the extra help he can get. Just saying...

Kenya Bell Blames Evelyn's Outburst On Being Unhappy
Kenya Bell is convinced Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada 's behavior stems from a place of unhappiness. During an interview with Juicy magazine the newcomer stated,
"I can’t say too much, but we will see. EVELYN obviously has a lot of problems right now. To me, she’s very up and down. One second she’s crying, the next she’s screaming, and then she’s jumping across tables. Obviously there’s something in her life she’s not happy about. For me, to throw a bottle at someone for calling you loose is ridiculous. If that’s the case you’re gonna fight half the world, because I couldn’t have been the only person to say that."
After Monday night's episode where Kenya wasn't sure if she called Evelyn a 'hoe', Evelyn unleashed her usual tirade on her blog.
"I know BI-POLAR Betty didn’t try to call me loose ?," Lozada wrote in an open blog Monday. "You have amnesia in my face, but during the solo interviews you all of a sudden remember saying that about me?!? And, I see how you threw Royce under the bus…good move."
She continued,
"Let me give you a tip Kenya, the next time you try to give me some advice regarding friends, why don’t you first consult with a make-up artist and find the correct foundation to match your skin tone!," said Lozada. "GTFOH Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."
With Tami Roman suffering a mild heart attack at 41 years old it's high time these grown women deal with their issues...

Tami Roman Suffers Mild Heart Attack
 Basketball Wives star Tami Roman suffered a mild heart attack at the young age of 41.The certified hothead on the popular VH1 reality series shared her incident with her followers on Twitter:
“Not feeling so well but I hope u enjoyed the episode. Gonna try to catch a re-run and collect my thoughts to blog. Headed to bed early :) ”
By the next day Tami revealed the shocking news,
“Thx 2every1 for the get well wishes. Never thought I’d have a mild heart attack at 41. God has a way of bringing things into perspective. Finally going home 2my kids-heart meds and all”
She later added, “I’m off twitter 4 awhile, no stress recovery, but I appreciate ALL the positive energy & the negative 1′s-get a life-I sure appreciate mine.”
Tami’s PR team also released this statement,
“Last night, Basketball Wives’ Tami Roman was admitted to Cedar-Sinai Medical Center for a medical emergency in Los Angeles. She has since been released and would like to let her fans and supporters know she is doing fine and looks forward to resuming her scheduled engagements. She will also be back on twitter communicating with her followers shortly.”

 Tamia Hill, R&B artist and wife of longtime NBA player Grant Hill is speaking out against the popular VH1 Basketball Wives franchise. In a recent interview with Huffington Post Black Voices to promote her new album 'Beautiful Surprises' she was asked:
Since you’re married to an athlete, what are your thoughts on the perception of the “Basketball Wives” franchise?
Well, I think the perception is definitely not a reality. I think, to be fair, a lot of those women [on the show] aren’t wives. And I’m good friends with Shaunie. And as far as business is concerned, I applaud her, but I think that it’s definitely very misleading in terms of what our lives are about. I do have a lot of friends who are married to athletes, and a lot of these women are involved in charities, doing all kinds of things behind the scenes and are supportive wives, and — believe it or not — have supportive husbands who are really great guys. I think not only for the women, but I think it just paints a really bad picture about the men as well. I think for athletes in general, people are like, “Why would you want to marry an athlete?” And that goes back to what I was saying to you: what works in one person’s marriage, may not work in the next. So keep your eyes focused on yours! I guess it’s interesting TV, but it’s definitely not reality.

Jennifer Williams Believes Her Own Hype Says Evelyn Lozada
Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada dished to Radar Online on her castmates for season 4 of the popular VH1 reality TV show. On her ex-friend Jennifer Williams, Lozada states,
“In the first episode, they talked about her being ‘bougie.’ When you are that person and you get a little bit of fame, you start believing the hype. She thinks she is better than everyone else.”
Evelyn concedes that if it wasn't for the show she would have no contact with Jenn,
“I would have told Jennifer never to talk to me again, but that doesn’t make sense on the show because there are cameras here and you have to tell the story even if it can be frustrating."
On newbie Kenya,
“Most of the cast members feel she’s a little strange to say the least. She’s not really someone I would hang out with after filming. She’s not my type of person.”
And on Kesha,
“When you come into a fourth season, you smell B.S. from far away. It’s best to be yourself, that’s why I took a liking to Kesha. She is a really sweet girl and always seems like she is the same person on and off of the set,” she said.
Surprisingly Shaunie has her share of drama this season,
“Shaunie actually gets into a conflict with one of the castmates; she's usually quiet and stays out of the mess. She did have an issue with one of the ladies on the show, and I think viewers will be surprised that she voiced that and who that person ended up being.”

Evelyn Lozada Says Bad Talking Chad Ochocinco Is Off Limits
 If you have something negative to say about Chad Ochocinco be prepared to land on Evelyn Lozada's sh*t list. The Basketball Wives star revealed that her relationship with her BFF Jennifer Williams was ruined when the latter had some not so kind things to say about her fiance Ochocinco. In the premiere episode of BBW season 4, Evelyn made it clear she's not playing the middle ground - you're either with her or against her.
"At the end of the day, talking smack about my fiancé is OFF LIMITS. I don’t care in what capacity, I make certain not to discuss Shaunie, Tami’s or Jen’s personal life when I am doing interviews. It is called LOYALTY," Lozada said before calling Jen more of a liar. "The comments that Jen carelessly made about my relationship is an issue and she was not being a real friend. All of the crocodile tears is for show, it’s fake…she did this to herself. Jen showed me her true colors and I am done with her."
It's safe to assume these women would rather live in their make believe worlds than in the real reality...it's fun to watch nonetheless.

Basketball Wives' Jennifer Battles Evelyn Lozada In Season 4
 Basketball Wives season 4 premieres in just under two weeks. The official Basketball Wives trailer released today confirms the battle between Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams is beyond repair. In the season opener Evelyn screams "You ain't bout this life b*tch" to Williams who twirls her hair with ambivalence. Cut to another scene and Evelyn once again threatens Jenn if she doesn't "tone it down." In yet another clip Jennifer is defending herself now against Lozada's assistant Nia Crooks' who threatens Jennifer with a slap across her face. Jennifer sheepishly dares Nia who quickly takes her up on the offer and smacks Jennifer across her face! Now we know why there was a police report filed last month against Crooks.
In other more mild scenes Tami has issues (no surprise there) with new girl Kesha Nichols. The other new girl Kenya Bell has to contend with calling Evelyn a "hoe" in a previous interview. Royce focuses on her acting career while Suzie Ketcham still finds herself in the middle of everything.
In in all, season 4 appears to focus mainly on Jennifer and Evelyn's beef. The new season premiers on February 20th. Will you be watching?

Jennifer Williams Named In Theft Against Lozada's Assistant
Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams' beef have reached the height of ridiculousness. According to TMZ, Nia Crooks, Evelyn's assistant, filed a police report against Jennifer for theft. Reportedly Jennifer was given a key to Crooks' home sometime ago but refuses to return it. It should be noted that Williams filed a battery report against Nia when she slapped Jenn in the face.
Nia alleges she feels threaten after Jennifer said "watch your back." Of course Nia could just change her locks but that wouldn't drum up enough drama for the new season of Basketball Wives. Sigh.

Chad Ochocinco is denying claims his upcoming wedding to Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada has been called off. Earlier this week TMZ reported that Evelyn suspected Chad of cheating and decided to put the wedding on hold. A few twitter fans reached out to Chad and he was kind enough to respond,

 Basketball Wives star Tami Roman is being sued allegedly stealing a business idea from Constance Corleone. Corleone owns Bella Dream Hair which provides hair extensions. Tami's people called Constance to send some over samples. After the samples were sent, Constance states Tami announced her new company, Curls by Roman. Tami even had the audacity to wear Constance hair extension in her advertising ad for Curls by Roman. Constance is suing Tami for $500k.
Tami took to Twitter to blast Constance and her lawsuit, "Fraudulent people trying to take credit NOT. People trying to take credit for this hair. WTF they crazy."BTW: This is Tami's third lawsuit this year.

Tami Roman Sued By Her Former Manager
Basketball Wives Tami Roman is being sued by her former manager Jerry Silverhardt who claims she's trying to stiff him out of his rightful cut of new found fame. Jerry filed the lawsuit on Monday in L.A. County Superior Court claiming he was the reason behind Tami landing Basketball Wives. According to TMZ, Jerry was paid for the first two seasons but was fired in February and haven't received payment for season three. Jerry further claims that Tami entered into an oral contract stating she would pay him 10% on all her Basketball Wives paychecks from season three to six - who knew there would be that many!
It's unclear if Jerry is new to the business because 10% of someone's salary over three years should definitely be in writing!

Imani Showalter's ex Stephen Jackson sat down for an interview with Joy and had a lot to say about her role on Basketball Wives.
On what he thinks about the show:
Well, I have two kids by a woman that’s on the show and I really don’t have a problem with it. If she can benefit from it and not put my kids to look bad in any light then I don’t have a problem with it. It’s not affecting me at all. They can on there and say what they want; it’s not going to affect me. At the end of the day, we weren’t really married so she’s not really a housewife.
On what Basketball Wives should really be called:
It should be “Women That Slept With Guys In The NBA.” What’s the girl’s name? Deadra? Deja? [Draya] should be the star if that’s the case because half of them wasn’t married. I thought if you look up the definition of ‘housewife’ it says you’re married, you don’t work and you live at home.
On the success of the show:
Reality TV sells. Drama sells. Controversy sells. If they’re going to give you $40,000 to go on TV and make an ass out of yourself, people are going to watch it.
So you think they’re making an ass of themselves?
What do you think? The only one making money is Shaunie. I give her her props because she’s pimping them all. She hasn’t looked bad in one show and I commend her for that. I commend all those women for getting money, being hungry and grinding. I’ll never deny any woman from getting her money.
On if he thinks Shaunie is exploiting the women on the show
You can’t say that she’s exploiting them; she’s making money! It’s a business. You can’t blame her for the way they look on the show because at the end of the day, they’re all grown women. So any situation they are in, they put themselves in; they signed those contracts to go on the show, so you can’t blame Shaunie for none of that. All those women on that show are over 25, over 30, and some of them over 40 and they’re lying. At the end of the day, they know what they’re doing and the blame is soley on them.

Malaysia Pargo let her Compton come out in the premiere episode of Basketball Wives LA when she was engaged in a huge brawl with Laura Govan. But in the end Malaysia Pargo turned out to be the sweetest and most compassionate wife on the hit reality show. In a recent interview after Basketball Wives reunion aired, Malaysia sat down with Vibe and you'll be surprised what she had to say about her fight with Laura.
Sometimes with these shows there’s a lot of footage that doesn’t make it to the show so who is the Malaysia that we didn’t get to see on camera?
Honestly, I feel like I was being portrayed exactly. I’m nice and I’m soft spoken but I also have a mean side. I call myself the gift and the curse. I can be your best friend or I can be your worst enemy. So, I feel like they showed that of me. I just mind my own business. I don’t get in anyone’s business [but] if you invite me in I’ll give my opinion. I’m very strong and I’m convicted so I feel like they showed everything about me. I’m a mother. I’m a wife. I’m a businessperson. I think they got me exactly.
Looking back at the fight with Laura, was there anything you would have done differently about that situation?
I’m gonna have to keep it real. If it would have happened all over again it probably would have went down that same way because when you’re disrespectful then that’s what happens. If it happened today then it wouldn’t have escalated because I know that’s how Laura is. She’s playful but I just met her then so I didn’t know where she was coming from. I was confused I was taken aback. I was like what the hell is wrong with this chick she was just cool with me two days ago! Do I think fighting is good? No, I don’t but in the same breath, you’re supposed to protect yourself and if you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything.
In closing Malaysia revealed she's working on growing her business and as well as "being my husband’s ego stroker because the season is getting ready to start." :-)

Before season 3 of Basketball Wives Evelyn threaten to leave the show and star in a spin off with Chad on the E! network. VH1 caved in and gave Evelyn a raise. Going into season 4, VH1 decided to foolishly post a blog about Evelyn cheating on Chad with Terrell Owens. Ev threatens to quit again, except this time the price is steeper. According to TMZ, not only did Evelyn get yet another raise but she's also filming less for more money. She reportedly won't miss any of Chad's football games AND she landed a spin off show that will detail the months leading up to her wedding with Chad.
This relationship may just work after all. Unless if Evelyn turns into NeNe Leakes and starts screaming she's rich and doesn't want to take care of no man....smh.

Eva Longoria Gets It In On The Side With Matt Barnes
 Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is finding time for Gloria Govan's ex-fiance Matt Barnes, at least according to TMZ. Last month the two were spotted at dinner and again at a club where sources stated there was heavy flirting, adding, “There was definitely a spark between Eva and Matt. They weren’t seated next to each other, but you could tell there was something between them. There was a little hand-holding over the table and a lot of eye contact.”
Eva and Matt both denied the rumors and stated they met to discuss charity events. But the rumors resurfaced when Eva Longoria was spotted picking up Matt from the airport this morning (picture below). TMZ states they have a special friendship. Gloria implied Eva is a groupie for dating multiple basketball players. Or maybe they're good friends and friends pick each other up from the airport...shrug

Eva Longoria Denies Dating Matt Barnes
 Actress Eva Longoria wasted no time denying a romance was brewing with newly single Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes. Last week Matt released a statement announcing he and Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan had split.
Matt has since been spotted out twice with Eva Longoria. The only problem is Eva is dating Eduardo Cruz, actress Penelope Cruz's younger brother. Either way, witnesses spotted Eva and Matt out to dinner this past weekend and told the New York Post there was a spark!
“There was definitely a spark between Eva and Matt. They weren’t seated next to each other, but you could tell there was something between them. There was a little hand-holding over the table and a lot of eye contact.”
Eva denied the claim on her site.
"First Jessica Simpson, now this. Once again, press gets it wrong, Matt barnes and I are not dating!"
She added: "We are doing a charity event together for Padres and Athletes vs Cancer."
Well so much for that...looks like there's still a chance for Gloria to reunite with Matt.

Gloria Govan Holds Out Hope Of Reuniting With Matt Barnes
 Gloria Govan and Matt Barnes may have announced their split just a few days ago but Gloria is optimistic they may reunite. And who's her inspiration for such optimism - her sister Laura Govan of course. Laura and her now fiance Gilbert Arenas have been back and fourth for years. He's sued her, kicked her out his mansion with their four kids and now they're back together again with a ring on Laura's finger. So maybe there is hope...lol.
Gloria sat down with VH1 blog to dish on the breakup:
On going their separate ways:
Matt and I do have kids and we’re trying to be as cordial as we can right now and we’ll be in each other’s lives forever, but as relationships go, we have our ups and downs. It hasn’t been an easy ride moving across the country twice, having kids at 21 when I just graduated college, it hasn’t been easy. And now Matt has the lockout, so everything has been stressful with the breakup, the lockout, everything, it’s been a whirlwind. But we’re still friends and we’re still working things out and I wish him nothing but the best.
On her sister Laura Govan believing they will reunite:
Of course she does. My whole family is rooting for that man. I swear. They would pick him over me. I’ve learned my lesson, never say never and I think anything is possible, but right now I’m taking my time to grow as an individual. Not only for myself but for my family. We’ll see. I’m not going to say never, I’m optimistic, but for now…we’re going our separate ways. But if our paths cross again it’s meant to be. For now, we’re just taking our time to do our own thing. And Laura of course wants it. With her situation with Gilbert (Arenas), she’s been in and out, out and in. She has a lot of experience and good advice when it comes to situations like this.
On jumping back into the dating scene:
I think that’s a lot of people’s assumption, that oh, she wants to f— around and f— everything because he did and it’s like NO. A), it’s such a double standard, even if I wanted to I can’t because they’d put me on blast if I did. And B) I have kids, you know? I’m not looking to date anyone at this moment, I’m just going to take this opportunity to take a step back and reevaluate where I wanna go in life. And I think I have a long way to go to make my mark in feature films and in my community, but I’m happy. I’m happy with where I am now.

Matt Barnes Dumps Gloria Govan Of Basketball Wives
Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan's 'perfect' relationship with fiance Matt Barnes just came to a screeching halt. And we can't say we or most people are surprised. Matt released an official statement:
"I’d like to address the rumors surrounding mine and Gloria’s relationship. We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best."
Well so much for that. Maybe Gloria will move to Orlando with her sister Laura who just reconciled and became engaged to the father of her four children Gilbert Arenas. Wait...he might kick her out again. Oh those Govan girls..should put their rocks down.

Royce Reed will return to Basketball Wives Miami after all. After what appeared to be a plan to increase her value at BBW, Royce revealed she will return via Tweeter:

Royce Reed Officially Quits Basketball Wives
 Royce Reed, the only Basketball Wives cast member with some semblance of sanity has decided to call it quits. Royce was the only star who refused to give in to Evelyn Lozada, Jennifer Williams and Shauni O'Neal's bullying. Royce was quickly ostracized from the "circle". It became so bad that the three aforementioned ladies refused to film with her. It doesn't help that Royce is under court order to keep Dwight Howard and their son out of her mouth while filming. Not exactly sure what went down but Royce is throwing up the deuces. She posted on Twitter:

Evelyn Lozada Sues Gossip Blog For False Terrell Owens Story
In case you didn't know, Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada takes her reputation very seriously! Last month Evelyn was fighting rumors that she slept with Terrell Owens, was pregnant and leaving Basketball Wives over the pregnancy.
Terrell Owens who's BFF is Chad Ochocinco tweeted a denial when reports surfaced. Evelyn took her usual dramatic/shouting route - yes you can shout via Twitter - to deny the claims. She stated she was quitting Twitter over the false reports. She's still on twitter...
According to Lozada's lawyer the website, Media Takeout refused to remove the story. So now they are being sued for damaging her reputation “both as a television personality and as a small business owner. They also have caused her to suffer severe emotional distress.”
Wow - who knew Evelyn was so sensitive over her reputation??

Evelyn Lozada is making her move to Boston as a soon to be football wife and no one not even VH1 will ruin that for her. Earlier this month VH1 posted a blog post that implied Evelyn had an affair with Terrell Owens, Chad's homie, after meeting Chad. Seeing as how Chad and Evelyn slept together on their first date then there was some co-mingling going on. Soon after the blog post went up Evelyn took to twitter to announce she was leaving Basketball Wives and Twitter. No word on whether or not she's thru with Basketball Wives but she's certainly not thru with Twitter. To further clear her name Ev tweeted,
"***RUMORS TO CLEAR UP*** I am not pregnant people and me and @ochocinco are still together! STOP BELIEVING THE LIES 'THIS' BLOG POSTS!!" Basketball Wives Fires Meeka Claxton
Basketball Wives star Meeka Claxton has officially received the axe from the show's producers. Soon after Meeka and Tami's brawl in Rome, the future of Basketball Wives came into question. It was later revealed that Meeka sued Tami over the assault. On the show's finale Tami Roman made it very clear she would not return if Meeka returns. Tami was clearly the favorite coming out of season 3 - for whatever reason - so the likelihood that VH1 would fire Tami over Meeka was very slim.
TMZ reports that Meeka has yet to receive a call from the producers since the reunion aired months ago - that's not a good sign. Meeka will have to find another way to extend her 15 minutes.

Basketball Wives Meeka Claxton's Husband A Dead Beat Dad
On Monday night's reunion Tami Roman told Meeka Claxton she should be paid commission for making her husband Speedy Claxton relevant. Less than two days later, Speedy is accused of fathering a child 10 years ago that he abandoned.
According to reports, Speedy's then girlfriend Jasmine O'Neal became pregnant. Speedy gave her an ultimatum to give up the baby or he leaves. Jasmine decided to keep the baby and Speedy moved on to marry Meeka.
This story remains a rumor for now - too bad - if Meeka didn't get fired from BBW season 4 she would have something else to talk about than constantly defending herself from Tami.

Basketball Wives Star Tami Roman Talks Her New Book
 That's right, Basketball Wives star Tami Roman is working on a book! The book will reportedly detail Tami's life, her struggles and successes. In the end Tami hope the book will help other women. Tami covers the new issue of Rolling Out where the talks not just her new book but her portrayal on the Basketball Wives.
We have to get this question out of the way. Why did you join “Basketball Wives?”
Well, I watched the first season of “Basketball Wives” and just felt like the things that I was going through weren’t really represented on the show. I had been a basketball wife, and now that I was divorced, things weren’t as golden as they portrayed on the show. I wasn’t eating out and getting manicures every day … and I wasn’t drinking all night, every night. That wasn’t my world, so for me, I felt like my individual story would be valuable.
Do you feel like the producers have done a good job portraying you?
I think that the producers have done a fantastic job of blowing out of proportion one aspect of my personality. Now I’m not going to say that it’s the editing, and I’m not going to try and blame it on anything else, because Tami will go off on you [laughs] … that is a part of my personality. Whether you like it or not, I’m going to tell you the truth because I feel like everybody should be able to deal with the truth. That way, you can know what you’re dealing with. I’ve always been a big fan of that, of honesty and loyalty. So while what you see on TV is a part of my personality, it’s not all of who I am. I think that the audience who watches “Basketball Wives” is only seeing that aspect of my personality 100 percent magnified. They don’t see me working with my charity, and they didn’t see me when I was a part of corporate America going to work in a business suit every day. And they don’t see me with my mother, or me with my dude. There’s so much about me that you don’t see because that’s not what “Basketball Wives” wants to show.
You said that you are a fan of the truth. Do you ever have problems receiving the truth if it’s not what you want to hear?
I prefer the truth, and anybody that watches “Basketball Wives” knows that is all I asked … just be truthful with me, and if you have an opinion directly about my life, say it to me. Don’t talk behind my back. So whatever you have said, I think that everybody should be woman enough to bring those opinions or concerns to the person directly. When that’s not done, that’s when I really have a problem with you.
The word on the street is that you’re about to become an author. Is that true?
Yes! I’m working on my book, and I will say that several ladies on the show have books coming out … well, all of us except Suzie [laughs]. I know with my situation in particular, everybody knows me from the “Real World” and from “Basketball Wives.” I think that there is so much more to my life that they don’t know about and that they don’t get a chance to see. So I want to really open up myself to people to give a lot of backstory to me, my family, how I was raised, and the things I’m going through or have gone through. Hopefully, someone can read my book, understand my situation, and learn how to get through something similar that they may be going through.

Evelyn Lozada Thinks Eric Overreacted With Jennifer Williams
Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada talks her bestie Jennifer Williams' fight with her soon-to-be ex-husband Eric Williams. The finale clip was shocking and last night's episode finally shed some light on the incident. Jennifer threw the first splash and Eric retaliated with throwing another drink. Did you talk to Jennifer after the drink-throwing incident? What was your take on what happened?
We actually filmed after that, we filmed her divorce party after that, but they flipped it on the show. It was literally two days later and she was still in a really weird space from that whole thing. You could tell she was in shock, like, I can’t believe that happened. When she told me, I could tell, I knew something was wrong. I’ve been friends with them way before this. Way before the show. I don’t know if people know this but I’m the one who got Jennifer on the show and I’ve known her forever. Just to see it go down brought tears to my eyes, it was like, you know, it doesn’t have to be like that. But things happen and everybody has their own reasons why they do what they do but it was sad to see. I knew their relationship was bad but that was so disrespectful and I wouldn’t have expected that from him.

Chris Bosh Wants Lawsuit By Ex-Girlfriend Tossed out
 Chris Bosh's ex-girlfriend is trying to make a living through the best way she knows how - reality TV. Bosh's ex and the mother of his only child, Allison Mathis was rumored to have joined the cast of Basketball Wives season 3, however after filming only two episodes Alison got the boot.
Chris threatened to file a lawsuit when report surfaced of Alison's involvement. Shaunie had denied Alison joined the show but Alison is now suing Bosh for meddling with her potential $250,000 payday.
Chris Bosh who had previously only threatened to file suit, has now filed court documents denying Alison's claim. According to TMZ, Bosh's attorney states his client was "acting to protect his own economic or financial interests."
In turn Bosh is asking the judge to toss the suit out completely as he believes he doesn't owe Alison diddly squat

Tami Roman Insists Basketball Wives Survive On Drama
Tami Roman is insisting that the audience is driving up the ratings for the high drama on Basketball Wives and VH1 will continue to edit to satisfy the need. Which in turn puts Shaunie O'Neal as one of the executive producers "between a rock and a hard place."
Tami tells the Examiner,
Shaunie is caught between a rock and a hard place because she’s not the only executive producer. So, I know when she initially went with this concept to them, what ‘Basketball Wives’ has evolved into is not her creative mindset at work. What ultimately ended up happening is that when you do reality TV, the whole thing that drives it is the dramatic aspect. If you have six, seven people who all get along, nobody finds that interesting.
There were several tapings with my mom. My mom is battling diabetes, and that was very heartfelt and touching to me, and I felt that should’ve been on the show. There were aspects with me and my daughter, and Royce auditioning for Broadway, and things that everybody’s going through that are far more positive and far more relevant to trying to put out positive imagery. That stuff does not make it.
They’ll shoot it. If this is your storyline, we’ll tape it. But when it goes to editing, people only want to see the dramatic stuff. Literally, the argument that you see may only happen over a weekend. We tape for four months. But they’ll take the biggest arguments we have, and those become the focal points of the storyline. That is not our fault. We would absolutely love to see more positive imagery, but the audience doesn’t want to see that.

Basketball Wives Star Royce Reed Suffered Seizure
 Basketball Wives star Royce Reed reportedly passed out and suffered a seizure while taking part in a charity softball game in Delaware. The Duffy's Hope Celebrity Softball game took place in Wilmington, DE where Royce pulled a hamstring while playing. Shortly after sitting down, the petite BBW star passed out. Royce was told she suffered a seizure when she regain consciousness. Despite it all, she refused treatment at the hospital and adamantly claimed it was her first seizure.
TMZ reported that sources claim Royce is doing well now and will see her doctor in Florida. *Something sounds little suspicious...JS*

Shaunie O'Neal Wants More Positive Images On Basketball Wives
 Shaunie O'Neal is reportedly working overtime to bring balance to the drama-filled Basketball Wives. BBW is already renewed for a fourth season while still completing it's third season. The show has undoubtedly been a hot topic week after week bringing in 4.2 million viewers from last weeks episode. Shaunie apparently wants something different. She tells Fox 411,
“When I started the show I really just wanted to follow this group of ladies around. We all have a common bond; we understand each other’s lives. It started as that. Since then, it’s taken on a life of its own. I never imagined it would be a group of ladies fighting and arguing that way that they do. That was never part of the plan.”
“I hate that it has to be a fight or an argument that gives us 4.2 million viewers. I hate that, but it’s something where I’m working as hard as I can to show some type of balance, because it is there. We do know how to act, we do charity work. I would love a little more balance and we’re going to try to do more of that in season 4,” she said. “I know that people love the fighting and the arguing, but I do want to have some positive in there somewhere.”
Still throwing salt on the Basketball Wives LA cast, Shaunie states,
“I feel like that show, from what I hear in certain production calls and stuff like that, is turning into ‘I have slept with a basketball player at some point of time in my life, so now I’m on Basketball Wives’. That’s definitely not what I brought to the table and not what I would be proud of having my name on. I think that’s a whole different show that I wouldn’t produce.”
“A change needs to be made somewhere in these reality shows. If I can be the start, I would to be a start in showing some balances.”

Jennifer Williams Denies Physical Abuse While Married To Eric
 Jennifer Williams and her soon-to-be ex-husband Eric Williams are undoubtedly the talk of Basketball Wives going into the finale. After last Monday's episode, a short clip shows Eric throwing a drink into Jennifer's face and warning her to be careful. Eric took to twitter recently to explain that his intentions were to cast out the demons from Jennifer.
The couple who were together for ten years and married for four years, saw their marriage crumble while on the show. But it never escalated to this level of anger - which has caused many to question whether there was abuse in their relationship prior to Jenn filing for divorce.
Jenn called into to TT Torez to discuss the incident - here are some excerpts...
Jennifer stated she was shocked and thought Eric would never do that to her in a million years. She also confirmed that that Eric never hit her or was physically abusive but she did endure his verbal abuse.

Eric Williams Attempted To Cast Out Demon From Jennifer Williams
 If Eric Williams wasn't hated enough on Basketball Wives as the soon-to-be ex-husband of Jennifer Williams, fans have another reason to amplify their hatred. Honestly, in Eric's interviews on his relationship with Jennifer Williams, he came off very level-headed. But on next week's season finale things took a turn as Eric splashed a drink into Jennifer's face. Twitter went crazy and Eric was ready for the fire! Amongst many other tweets Eric took some time to explain his actions,

Jackie Christie Talks The Impending Drama On Basketball Wives LA
Jackie Christie already sounds like she will be the break out star of the second installment of Basketball Wives. The LA cast was recently revealed to include Jackie Christie, wife of Doug Christie, former player for the Los Angeles Clippers; Kimsha Artest, wife of Los Angeles Laker Ron Artest; Imani Showalter, ex-fiancée of Charlotte Bobcats’ Stephen Jackson. Last but not least Gloria Govan, fiancée of Laker Matt Barnes along with her sister Laura Govan, ex fiancée of Orlando Magic Gilbert Arenas.
Jackie spoke to Wetpaint about the new series:
What can you tell us about Basketball Wives: LA?
I think viewers should expect to see a group of women that are no-nonsense. We are very much in your face. I think they will see a different side to a lot of wives they think they may know. [Basketball Wives: LA] is a lot different from the Miami show. You’re going to see a lot more about who we are — you’re going to see into our lives completely.
Should viewers expect the show to be high on drama?
It’s extremely high on drama and excitement. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll go into a ride. It’s real. It’s no holds bar[red]. It’s looking into the life of an NBA wife, girlfriend, and fiancée in Los Angeles.

Tami Roman Will Not Return To Basketball Wives If Meeka Returns
Basketball Wives Tami Roman states she will not return for the another season if Meeka Claxton returns. The most explosive season of Basketball Wives saw Tami Roman and the other cast mates take a trip to Italy that ended in pure drama. Evelyn and Jennifer managed to mend their argument about Jennifer calling Chad Ochocinco a media whore. Tami and Meeka on the other hand will likely end up in court after Meeka filed a lawsuit alleging Tami of assault.
Tami called into TT Torrez's radio show in Richmond, VA to talk the drama, Meeka Claxton and her pending lawsuit.
In an excerpt Tami tells Torrez why she put her hands on Meeka,
“As we’re having this discussion all I see, which I have asked her not to do, was her getting ready to get up…ya know with her hand. Don’t put your hand up because I don’t know what you’re going to do. I don’t know if you’re going to swing at me. So I basically, you know, I have a defense mechanism that has always been apart of who I am and when I saw that hand…I snapped cause I’m like I don’t know what you’re going to do and I had to defend myself so that’s what y’all saw last night.”
In the end, Tami states VH1 will have to choose between who is more valuable to the franchise; herself or Meeka Claxton. Who do you think will come back for Season 4?

Jennifer Williams Heads Back To Italy Without The Drama
Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams headed back to Italy last week after her highly emotional drama with Evelyn aired. Jennifer and Evelyn were on the brink of possibly ending their relationship when it surfaced that Jennifer called Chad Ochocinco a media whore.
In addition to their personal drama, Tami Roman and Meeka Claxton had their own issues that escalated into an all out fight at a club. But this time around, Jennifer Williams left all her cast mates behind and opted to travel with Mashonda and some other friends.

Basketball Wives Meeka Claxton Sues Tami Roman For Assault
Basketball Wives Meeka Claxton is fighting co-star Tami Roman in an arena where she may actually win! Tami, who's recovering from a three car pile up accident, is not having a good week.
It's wildly known that Meek and Tami have been at odds for sometime. Since Meeka joined the wives(kudos to her for being the only "wife" Jenn doesn't' count at this point), Tami has made it a point to let Meeka know she's A. Not wanted and B. She's a flake.
Meeka is known to run her mouth a bit and Tami is known for dissecting her every word and making Meeka eat them. When the ladies traveled to Italy, Shaunie decided Royce was the trouble maker and left her behind, opting to bring Meeka instead. Bad idea.
Tami and Meeka reportedly fought in a nightclub, punches were thrown - mainly by Tami and the ladies were kicked out.
While Meeka denied repeatedly she was punched, TMZ has jut confirmed she filed a lawsuit stating Tami, "assaulted, battered, beat, threatened, menaced, attacked, jumped on, pushed to the ground, thrashed, punched, and shoved" her.
Meeka is seeking punitive damages. Tami's response: "Why Me" Who will get the boot from Basketball Wives for this drama - Tami Roman or Meeka Claxton or neither?!

Evelyn Lozada In Talks To Join Dancing With The Stars
Evelyn Lozada and her fiance Chad Ochocinco are quite the money-making pair. Who knows what will come of their impending nuptials but for now they're attempting to cash in as many checks as possible. Chad reportedly helped Evelyn get more money from VH1 when she threatened to join Chad for their own spin off on another network. Now Chad is using his connections to land Evelyn a part on Dancing with the Stars.
According to TMZ, "sources connected to the show tell us … “Dancing” producers love the idea of having Evelyn on the show — especially since she’s engaged to Chad who was a previous contestant." It's also reported that ABC is attempting to involve Chad in some capacity.
If this story proves to be false, we're sure Evelyn is working her a$$ off to make it true. Would you watch Evelyn Lozada on DWTS?

Tami Roman Involved In Three Car Accident In LA
Basketball Wives star Tami Roman was reportedly involved in a three car crash in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, Tami was just picked up by a car service after she flew into LAX.
A vehicle slammed into the back of car driving behind Tami and subsequently rear-ended the vehicle Tami was traveling in. Tami's vehicle sustained the bulk of the damage from the three car pile up. No injuries have been reported but Tami did tweet a short time after, “I have a major headache!”
We're glad Tami's OK - Who's going to keep Meeka in check?!

Shaunie O'Neal Claims Basketball Wives Image Is Distorted
Basketball Wives producer and creator Shaunie O'Neal has lost control of her vision. Shaunie spoke to Ebony Jet about her love/hate relationship with viewers, the distorted image of the Basketball Wives franchise and the "trashy" cast of Basketball Wives: LA.
On her love/hate relationship with viewers:
“I get a lot of flack,” says O’Neal. “People say to me: 'You’re saying the betrayal of Black women is bad on TV, but your show is one of the number one reasons why it is.' Guess what? I agree! But you look at those credits -- it’s more than me executive producing it. I brought this vision to a table full of people, a table full of executives, and since then it has taken on its own new thing.”
On losing control of her original vision:
“Honestly, they’ve distorted it a little bit. I really came in with the concept of having a group of women that come together and are associated by the game of basketball, whether it be their husbands, fiancés -- there’s some long-term relationship with a man in basketball and the game of basketball -- and that’s how we formed this sisterhood and friendship,” she says. “The L.A. cast -- there are some wives and fiancés, which I’m fine with. But there’s a little bit of trash kind of sprinkled into that cast that I’m totally against. I was really very hands off with that cast.”
On separating the trash from the cast of Basketball Wives: LA
“Yeah, you know they have Jackie Christie, I love her -- they have a long lasting marriage and it works. There's also Malaysia Pargo, you’ve got Imani who was the former fiancée of Stephen Jackson -- they went to the altar, you get that connection. These ladies have been around forever in the game of basketball. But then you’ve got people that just might’ve slept with somebody. I’m not OK with that,” O'Neal says. “It’s just drama and ... that’s not my vision. I don’t think that all money is good money. I don’t need it that bad. So we are having some issues. I’ve kind of just had to take a backseat and shut up and just let it go, let it ride. It’s David and Goliath right now.”
Somehow I can imagine Gloria and her sister Laura smiling...maybe not so much Laura since Gilbert Arenas is suing to keep her off the show. Do you feel any pity for Shaunie O'Neal and her lost vision?

Shaunie O'Neal was spotted out with a selected few of her "Basketball Wives" cast mates as they joined her for an event at Tru Hollywood. Shaunie was on hand to co-host a shopping event for the shoe brand Chinese Laundry. Her known BFF's Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada were on hand but there was a surprising extra: Suzie Ketchum.

Basketball Wives Star Laura Govan Wants A Fresh Start
 Basketball Wives: LA is touting Laura Govan, Gilbert Arena's ex as one of their star "wives". Whether or not Laura will make it on the show is another topic. If you haven't heard, Gilbert who has fathered four children with Laura is suing the show to keep Laura off the show. The show premieres in August, filming will likely begin soon.
Laura seems less fazed about the lawsuit and concerned with starting a new chapter in her life. She just gave birth to her fourth child only weeks ago!
Laura tells the Washington Post,
“I just wanted to showcase a new chapter in my life. A fresh start, a fresh outlook on life as a single mom.”
Laura clearly hasn't been watching Basketball Wives: Miami if she thinks a fresh start is on the show. So will Laura Govan take her story to Basketball Wives: LA? She states, “Whatever happens happens.”

Allison Mathis Sues Chris Bosh Over Axed Basketball Wives Deal
 Chris Bosh and ex-Allison Mathis in happier times...
Alison Mathis was attempting to get her single mother hustle by joining the drama filed cast of Basketball Wives. But her ex Chris Bosh put the kibosh on that idea when he threaten creator Shaunie O'Neal and Allison.
Season 3 rolled around and Allison was nowhere to be found - so we guessing Chris won that round. But Allison has sued Chris Bosh for blocking her from potentially making $250,000 over another 4 seasons....(this show will be around for another 4 seasons??)
TMZ learned that Allison Mathis filed the lawsuit in Orlando, FL earlier this month.
Is this a case Allison Mathis could possibly win?

Basketball Wives Star Jennifer Williams Files For Divorce
Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams has filed for divorce from husband Eric Williams. On the last episode of Basketball Wives, Jennifer shared with her BFF Evelyn that she needs to head to New Jersey to take care of some paperwork pertaining to her divorce. while the episodes are filmed months prior to airing it appears that Jennifer finally moved forward to filing the papers.
According to TMZ, Jennifer filed for divorce on Friday in Hudson County Superior Court in New Jersey. Jennifer cites the usual irreconcilable differences - she wants alimony, plus an "equitable" distribution of the couple's assets.
Looks like things between Jennifer Williams and Eric Williams are about to get messy.

Gilbert Arenas Sues To Keep Gloria Govan Off Basketball wives
 Gilbert Arenas is yet another basketball player who's attempting to keep their private drama - private. Or a tleast control how and when the drama is released. Gilbert has filed a lawsuit to keep his ex-girlfriend and mother of his four children, Gloria Govan off "Basketball Wives: LA".
His lawyers wrote:
“The presence of the defendant Govan and the title of the show is an obvious reference” to the NBA star, of the Orlando Magic, his lawyers wrote. As marketed, the show is “likely to mislead or confuse consumers that defendant Govan is either married to Plaintiff and/or has special insight into Plaintiff’s current life,” the suit states.
Chris Bosh successfully made enough noise to keep his ex-girlfriend Allison Mathis off the show, perhaps Gilbert Arenas may have the same luck.

 Music executive Carmen Murray (first one on the left) is reportedly the next housewife up to join Shaunie O'Neal's "Basketball Wives". Carmen is the ex-wife to former New Jersey nets baller Lamond Murray. Carmen was a real estate investor before launching Title 9 Productions where she counts Grammy nominated artist Melanie Fiona as a client.
According to celebuzz,
Our sources say the ink isn’t on the contract just yet for Murray to join, but that the former real estate investor and founder of Title 9 Productions should be very shortly. With those creds, she must be putting up quite the negotiation.

I just think we are a hot-ass mess. When we try our best to not have drama, to co-exisist and just be cool, no matter what you have -- six strong women with six strong convictions and opinions -- when you put us together, there is bound to be drama.
The Royce Reed and Evelyn Lozada fight in the third episode -- was it inevitable?
It was definitely coming. They have been at odds for a while. The funny part about the whole thing...it actually really all started between Royce and Jennifer, and Evelyn was just sticking up for Jennifer and that's how she got involved. And with some strange twist, Jennifer became okay with Royce, and Evelyn and Royce cant stand each other. And now it just is what it is.

Meeka Claxton, you know, the new Housewife that get's into messy situations with the other housewives namely Tami over her fast mouth - well she's setting the record straight.
During the most recent episode of Basketball Wives, Tami and Meeka got into a heated argument that really didn't show Meeka in the best light. But no worries, Meeka understands what she signed up for.
First, did she indeed beg to be on the show as Shaunie said earlier in the season and Tami happily pointed out at the polo event;
No, instead Meeka's friend Jackie Christie reached out Shaunie and said Meeka would be a great fit - Meeka should check her "friend" Jackie right away! meeka was of course hestitant and perhaps missed the two previous seasons when she thought she would somehow portray the real life of a basketball wife.

 Shaunie O'Neal is not discriminating when it comes to building her media empire. After garnering much success from the debut of her reality TV series Basketball Wives, Shaunie is back for more in Basketball Wives: LA.
The cast was recently revealed to be, LA Laker Ron Artest's wife Kimsha Artest, Jackie Christie, the wife of former NBA star Doug Christie and Imani Showalter, the ex-fiancée of Charlotte Bobcats player Stephen Jackson. Gloria Govan who many thought would not return to the franchise at all will upfront and center in LA and guess who's coming with? Her sister Laura Govan. Laura was famously accused of having an affair with Shaquille O'Neal while he was still married to Shaunie O'Neal. Gloria and Shaunie bucked heads a few times on Laura fessing up to the affair. But like a shrewd business woman, Shaunie is cashing in at the back on other people's drama.

Basketball Wives Tami Roman And Meeka Claxton Throw Down In Italy
Basketball Wives season 3 stars Tami Roman and Meeka Claxton reportedly got into a brawl while in Rome, Italy. From the beginning the season 3, it was obvious that the newbie housewives Meeka Claxton would be starting trouble. While Tami, the resident tell it like it is star, had her mind made up about Meeka. Tami took her suspensions to Rome where she confronted Meeka for causing a rift between the ladies. According to TMZ,
Meeka denies the accusations ... but during a recent taping at some nightclub in Rome -- where the girls filmed several scenes abroad -- Tami decided to confront her ... fists flying.
We're told a full on brawl broke out ... and ended with Tami PUNCHING Meeka right in the face.
No one was seriously injured in the fight -- but the two were promptly escorted out of the club by security.

Evelyn Lozada Dominates Basketball Wives 3 With More Drama
Evelyn Lozada and Tami Roman dominated in the return of Basketball Wives 3 with more drama. With the introduction of sneaky Meeka, Evelyn Lozada and Tami dominated much of the scenes with their ongoing feud. Tami wasn't buying Evelyn charitable effort to donate proceeds from her "Non-Mutha F**kin Factor" t-shirts. Tami served Evelyn with a defamation lawsuit and the drama ensued. Despite the dramatic start to the season Evelyn claims it's only the beginning, Evelyn posted several tweets stating,
"Wow Talk about drama!" "Hope you enjoyed #BasketballWives tonight! Lord knows that episode is light compared 2 what's going to air this season. #Madness".

 Shaunie O'Neal - Basketball Wives producer and sometimes star Shaunie O'Neal took some time to clear the air about the upcoming season of Basketball Wives and the drama that ended season 2.
On replacing Royce Reed
That was all rumors. She can’t talk about [Dwight Howard], that is very true but Royce has established her own fan base. There are some people out there that love Royce. Even when that rumor came out people were like “No, don’t get rid of Royce!” I did think Royce was like the wild card at first and she kind of was. We opened up season 1 and she was doing the booty dance and after she did that it was when the world saw it and had stuff to say.
On Evelyn and Tami’s Fight
When I’m in a scene, I’m not anywhere in the producing seat. I found out that night at the dinner table. It was just like I get Evelyn’s side….I do. She and I have talked about it and she’s like “well, remember this person was there, this person is normally not there, remember when this was said, what if this happened…” Those things, those pieces she is right. It was a couple things that were fishy about the evening but no one told me to do or say anything.
On Evelyn Claims Of Leaving The Show
Evelyn hasn’t told me that. We were talking and I’m being as supportive as I can as a friend and holding her down. No, she’s hasn’t told me she’s leaving and everybody has signed up for season 3.

Evelyn Lozada Felt Betrayed By Shaunie O'Neal And Decides To Quit "Basketball Wives"?
 Evelyn Lozada - Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada reportedly felt bamboozled by Shaunie O'Neal and the other producers of "Basketball Wives"to confess her past affair with Tami's ex-husband, Kenny Anderson. Evelyn confessed to sleeping with Kenny Anderson, Tami's ex-husband while the two were still married and confessed to having no knowledge of Tami.
Tami who was having a touching moment with the ladies thanking them for their support and companionship was completely blindsided with Evelyn's confession. Tami felt betrayed and of course became defensive and a fight ensued. Evelyn who became equally aggressive despite her wrongdoing appears to have suffered some remorse after viewing the final episode.
A source told TMZ that Evelyn felt betrayed by the producers, whom she says stirred up a confrontation with a fellow castmember, by revealing details of an illicit affair. Apparently Evelyn sent producers an email last night saying she wants to leave the show.

Laura Govan, Gilbert Arena's fiancee is finally speaking out about why she decided no to join the cast of 'Basketball Wives'. In a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Laura said:
“I didn’t want to do it because I’ve never asked to be in the public eye,” explained Laura. “I’m educated. I want to make sure that my children have a role model in the sense of whatever that means to me. I want them to see that mommy is doing things other than being behind daddy and going to games and being cute. I always said I would never date an athlete, nor an entertainer ever. You know, because we grew up around it,” Laura said. “My family has always held their own and we were always taught to make it on our own, especially as women.”

VH1's Basketball Wives reality show was as big a hit as they expected it to be, with all the finger-snapping, neck-rolling and water-throwing that you would expect from a TV show centered around women whose entire claim to fame is the fact that they've trapped a professional athlete in wedlock. Word is that Basketball Wives' second season is sure to extend the fun, as they've added a new member to the crew in Ashley Walker, who is the longtime girlfriend/fiance of Miami Heat's Rafer Alston. Basketball Wives Gets Lambasted By NBA Star, Matt Barnes
NBA athlete, Matt Barnes doesn't think Basketball Wives is must-see-TV at all! So much so that his wife, Gloria Govan decided to skip the reunion show, despite the fact that her story line was pretty central to much of the season. Cast mates Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Jennifer Williams, Suzie Ketchem and Royce Reed were all present and accounted for. Even groupie Sandra Lopez made a splash entrance - more on that later. During the taping, Shaunie O'Neal made it pretty clear that she's not impressed or intimidated by Matt Barnes' Twitter attack on herself and her castmates:
"Matt Barnes, who? I mean come on, Let’s be real, let’s be rea! I didn’t even get in this whole Matt and Gloria thing, they’ve been twittering and doing interviews and all that and I wasn’t even going to go there. But just shut up.”

Reality starlet, Evelyn Lozada from Basketball Wives, just found out who her e-stalker is (or at least allegedly so) and decided to take the war to her turf. Apparently, basketball player Ricky Davis' wife, Vanessa Davis was the culprit airing out Evelyn Lozada's business to sneaky bloggers and hitting up Twitter under different aliases. Vanessa is also supposedly behind the naked pic scandal as well. Word around the LA court system is that Evelyn Lozada is suing Vanessa Davis for supposedly stealing topless photographs of her and publishing them for everyone to view - not that we mind any.
