Brandy Defends Her Brother Ray-J
Brandy and Monica covers the latest issue of Ebony magazine. In the snippet from the interview Brandy talks about her brother Ray-J being misunderstood,
On Her Brother Ray J
I know who he is. And I”m pissed off about some of the things I’ve been hearing. It really bothers me that [those are] the kind of things that people do for money.
He’s misunderstood. It’s one thing to have this image of [a ladies' man], but it’s another to become this other type of person that they’re trying to make my brother out to be. I know who he is. This is a man who loves his mama and his sister and his niece. Ray J loved Kim Kardashian. They were irresponsible with their–you know–but he loved her. For five years, he was with her. In his mind and in the world’s mind, he was in my shadow for such a long time. To watch his sister become whatever I became and to not have that same path or that same way it happened for me; to be called ‘Brandy’s brother…’ To finally break out of it, you’re going to brag; you’re going to feel something about yourself. It’s not coming from a bad place, and I can tell you: Some of the shoes Ray J’s walking in, you’d take off immediately. You wouldn’t be able to handle the type of shoes he’s in.

Brandy Desperate To Rekindle Relationship With Kim Kardashian
Brandy stopped by the Wendy Williams show and covered an array of topics form her new boyfriend to repairing her friendship with Kim Kardashian. As many recall, Brandy's brother Ray-J played an instrumental role in Kim K's success thanks to a little sex tape. Soon after the release of the tape there were other rumors that Kim stole from Brandy and the relationship was all but over from there.
Late last year, Kim was casted in Tyler Perry's "The Marriage Counselor" which also starred Brandy. Reportedly Brandy wanted nothing to do with her and even joined the Kardashian boycott! Today on Wendy Williams Brandy not only squashed all the rumors but revealed she hopes to have a friendship with Kim again.
"....honestly I can just take this moment and say I really miss my friendship with Kim, I really do. I can’t wait to see her at the premiere and try to say something to her; tell her I love her and I’m here whenever she needs me."
Wendy asked Brandy to tell Kim directly so she turned to the cameras and added,
"Kim, I love you and I’m here whenever you need me and keep your chin up."

Monica And Brandy Working On Music In Miami
 Monica and Brandy were spotted together in Miami recording music for their respective albums with famed songwriter/producer Rico Love. It was unclear if Brandy and Monica are working together on a new project reminiscent of their Grammy winning collaboration for "The Boy is Mine'. After Monica's tweet below, it seems possible,

Brandy Jumps On Kim Kardashian Bashing Bandwagon
 Brandy has reportedly jumped on the Kim Kardashian bashing bandwagon over Tyler Perry casting her in his film, The Marriage Counselor. We should note that Brandy was also casted in the film - which is why it's hard to believe this rumor. Here's what a source told the National Enquirer that Brandy allegedly stated,
"Brandy is telling friends that she's furious with Tyler Perry. She feels that Tyler purposely cast both her and Kim in the film because it would generate a lot of buzz." *Seems like a smart move on Perry's part, no?*
The source continued,
"She's told anyone who'll listen that she hates working with Kim and she doesn't want to be anywhere near her. Brandy has even asked the production people to give her a heads-up if Kim is on the set because she doesn't want to run into the wannabe movie star."
Brandy can rest easy because Kim Kardashian's part in the film was completed in one day....

Brandy Joins Kim Kardashian In The Cast Of Tyler Perry's 'Marriage Counselor'
 Singer Brandy Norwood will have time to chit chat with her brother's ex Kim Kardashian when they meet on set of Tyler Perry's new film "The Marriage Counselor." Kim filed for divorce from Kris Humphries after 72 days of marriage. Just before the wedding Ray-J said Kim should thank him for launching her career.
Perhaps by the time Brandy and Kim meet on set the hoopla around her divorce would have died down. Tyler Perry's new film will also star Jurnee Smollet (Eve's Bayou), Lance Gross and Vanessa Williams.
"The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake."
Kim plays Jurnee's close friend who gives her a make over after the break down of her marriage. Brandy will play Lance's co-worker. Lance is Jurnee's husband.
The plot sounds more interesting than the plot but we'll see what happens.

Brandy Signs With RCA Records
 We may be hearing some new music from Grammy-award winning artist Brandy in the very near future. Brandy cut ties with Epic Records after the massive flop of her last album "Human". RCA Records predicts Brandy's best work is yet to come.
According to LA Times, the deal is a joint venture between RCA and producer Breyon Prescott’s Chameleon Records.
Peter Edge, chief executive of RCA Music Group, said in a statement, "Throughout her career, Brandy has consistently won the vote as everyone's favorite female vocalist,” . “I am sure that in her next chapter at RCA and in partnership with Breyon Prescott, we will record her most exciting music to date."
Brandy herself added in a separate statement,
“This is truly a blessing… Breyon Prescott, Peter Edge and Tom Corson believe in me and have introduced me to a home that also believes and knows exactly what to do with the type of music I’m doing. Breyon and the team at RCA/Chameleon are creative and forward-thinking and I am thrilled to be working with them.”

Brandy Set To Join The Cast Of 90210
 Brandy makes her return to scripted TV as she joins the cast of 90210 for a few episodes. TV Line describes Brandy's character,
Marissa Jackson-Lewis, a charismatic young politician running for congress in California against Teddy’s (Trevor Donovan) conservative uncle. “She’s a cross between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. She’s inspirational but with a drive to get the job done.” To that end, Marissa hires Silver (Jessica Stroup) to create a video campaign to reach the youth vote.
Brandy couldn't contain her excitement when she confirmed the news to her fans on twitter,
“I can’t tell you starz nothing first…lol! Yes I’m going to be on #90210 for multiple episodes and I will be playing a politician!!! YIKES!
I have the acting bug, singing bug, and all around ENTERTAINMENT bug! Ready to inspire and fulfill my new dreams all over again! Pray 4 me:)”

Brandy Talks "Own My Own" Documentary
 Brandy is working hard to make a comeback. With her recent album "Human" quietly coming and leaving the charts, her stint on Dancing with the Stars and her reality TV show her family, Brandy wants more - she wants her best. She says of the documentary.
I’m bringing everything I got, everything I have to this project. I honestly feel like and I’m not trying to get emotional but I really feel like this is my last chance.
With this album, I just want to go back to my roots, my core …I’m R&B and I just want to give my fans what they deserve. I feel that I only have one last shot to make it back to the top and I need to make the decisions that will & affect the rest of my career!

Brandy made one of her fan's birthday celebration extra special this year. While Brandy was out at dinner in New York at Cafeteria in Chelsea, she noticed a group of girls celebrating at the table next to her. Brandy Explains Why She Keeps Sy'rai Out Of The Public Eye
R&B diva, Brandy, has been seen on television since she was just a tinky-diva on the low-budget sitcom 'Thea' (bet y'all didn't know we go back like that). Since then, Brandy has bounced from sitcom to movie to record deal to tour to paparazzi to reality show. She's seen it all. Maybe that's why now, Brandy doesn't want cameras anywhere near her daughter. Even on her reality show 'Family Business', featuring her brother Ray J and both her parents, Brandy is never seen with her daughter, Sy'rai anywhere. Keyshia Cole Over Cocktail For Ray J?
 Brandy is working overtime to make sure her “you’re famous because of me” brother Ray-J gets more shine. In a recent interview Brandy said there is another woman she sees Ray-J with that would be good for him.
“You know who I would love to see Ray J with and I know I am going to get killed for saying it cause I know her, but I would love to see Ray J with Keyshia Cole. I think Keyshia Cole and Ray together, she would balance him out. She won’t take anything off of him and Ray would have to settle and step up his game.”
Has she watched “For the Love of Ray J” does it look like this dude is trying to settle and “step up his game”? Nope – not when it comes soo easy!
