LeBron X Basketball Shoes Comes With $300 Price Tag
Are you ready to be like LeBron?
It’s gotta be the shoes. Or at least that’s what Nike is banking on
when it unveils its new LeBron X basketball shoe later this year. The Wall Street Journal
is reporting that the more sophisticated version of the shoe that will
include motion sensors to track various metrics—including how high the
player jumps—will retail for a whopping $315.
Not all analysts agree the price will be quite that high, but concede that the day of the $300 shoe is now upon us.
Nike officials declined comment about the accuracy of the projected price when asked by ESPN.
It was back in 1986 that Nike’s Air Jordan broke the $100 basketball
sneaker barrier. The company eclipsed the $200 price tag 16 years later
with the release of the Air Jordan XVII. Read the rest here.

LeBron James Plans To Play In 2016 Olympics
The man once mockingly referred to as “LeBronze” following some
disappointing initial international experiences says he wants to
add to his gold medal collection.
NBA star LeBron James says he’s all in and would relish the
opportunity to wear the red, white and blue for the third consecutive
Olympics when the Rio Games come around in 2016. James, who was the best
player on the American team that won the gold medal at the recently
completed London Olympics, will be 31 by the time the next Olympiad
arrives, but said he would relish the opportunity to again represent his
country.
James has yet to formally notify USA Basketball of his intentions,
but there will always be room on any U.S. team for the unquestioned best
player in the world.
The London Olympics were the year’s coup-de-grace for James, who
joined some rarified air when he followed icon Michael Jordan as the
only players to ever be named the league MVP and win NBA and Olympic
championships in the same year. Read more here.

Dwyane Wade Believes LeBron James Can Get To Jordan's Level
Invoking the name of Michael Jordan is a sure fire way to stir up
controversy in any basketball discussion, but Jordan-sponsored Miami
Heat superstar Dwyane Wade had no problem doing just that when he
compared teammate LeBron James’s level of play to that of MJ. Coming off
his first NBA championship, James is no doubt at the top of the current
class of NBA superstars, controlling the court in most aspects.
However, whenever a player is called into comparison with Jordan’s
legacy, the arguments are rarely civil. Ira Winderman of the South
Florida Sun Sentinel asked Wade if James, a three-time MVP, was playing at the caliber of the NBA’s greatest legend.
“He’s on that level,” Wade said, “but he has a lot more to do to get
there. I think he understands he has an unbelievable opportunity to be
one of the greatest to play this game. But that’s when he gets done
playing, he can say that.”
“Right now, he has so much more to cover in his career. He’s just
getting started at the same time when Michael kind of just got started,”
Wade added. “We’ll see how it all shakes out. I hope it shakes out the
same way. I’ll be a very happy man.” Read the rest here.

Team USA Wins Gold

It was not supposed to be like this. Kobe Bryant and LeBron James
said Team USA could beat the 1992 Dream Team of Michael Jordan, Magic
Johnson, et al.
But could they beat Spain in Sunday’s gold medal game in the London Olympics?
Turns out, they could, but only after a late-game finish – keyed by
tough defense and – that pushed the United States to a
too-close-for-comfort 107-100 victory.
It was hardly resounding, but it was good enough – for the gold and
to squash discussions about comparing it to the ’92 team that crushed
opponents by an average of 43 points a game.
In the scheme of things, it was only about the mission: winning gold.
And the U.S. did that. How uptight and relieved were the Americans?
When Chris Paul scored a layup in the final minute to put the United
States up by 13 points, coach Mike Krzyzewski jumped as if his team had
won the national championship.
Players, one-by-one hugged each other in exaltation in the waning seconds, their mission completely, if not dominant.
They had to overcome a strong effort by Spain’s Pau Gasol, who had 15
of his 24 points in the third quarter. The Los Angeles Laker took
advantage of the Americans’ smallish interior defense. Read the rest here.

Kevin Durant, LeBron James Lead Team USA To Gold Medal Game
There is but one step left of the U.S. men’s basketball team, one ore
step to claim the Olympic gold medal and then entertain all the
questions about where it ranks in the pantheon of U.S. squads.
The Americans advanced to the championship game by dismantling
Argentina Friday, 109-83, on the strength of another outstanding
perimeter shooting display.
This time, Team USA made 18 three pointers to overwhelm Argentina,
which got 18 points from the San Antonio Spurs’ Manu Ginobili. His team
would need to defeat Russia in the bronze-medal game Sunday.
That would be played before the U.S. takes on Pau Gasol and Spain for
the gold medal. The same two teams played four years ago, with American
taking the goal.
To get to Sunday, Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City led Team USA with 19
points and LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony contribute 18 each.
The Americans appear to be more potent and deeper than the team of
four years ago. In the third straight Olympic semifinal between the U.S.
and Argentina, the Americans kept pulling ahead only to see the
Argentines climb back in — until James and Durant finally put them away
for good.
Argentina hung around until early in the second half, just as it did Monday in the final game of pool play.
And just like that night, the Americans hit them with a wave of dunks
and 3-pointers in the third quarter that turned it into a romp.
While not quite as explosive as their 42-17 period in Monday’s 126-97 win, this one had just as many highlights. Read the rest here.

Dwyane Wade's Health Draws Concern During Playoffs
Is Miami Heat in trouble?
The Miami Heat decided to cancel practice as well as their media
session today, looking to regroup after an embarrassing 94-75 loss last
night to the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference
semi-finals.
More concerning than the loss, however, was the on-court blowup of superstar Dwyane Wade.
During the third quarter last night Wade had a heated exchanged with
head coach Erik Spoelstra after, according to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith,
Spoelstra told Wade he was “playing like garbage.” Wade than began
yelling at his coach, and at one point the two were face-to-face before
Wade had to be restrained by veterans Juwan Howard and Udonis Haslem.
Spoelstra looked to downplay the event after the game, telling
reporters, “Anybody that has been part of a team or has been a coach or
been a player, you have no idea how often things like that happen. That
was during a very emotional part of the game. We were getting our butt
kicked. Dwyane and I have been together for a long, long time. We’ve
been through basically everything.”
Haslem’s comments to ESPN after the game seemed to confirm Stephen
A.’s explanation of what set off the exchange between Wade and
Spoelstra.
“We’ve got a lot of alpha males in this locker room, on this team,”
he said. “We’re going to encourage each other and get on each other’s
case when need be. But it’s all constructive criticism. I don’t think
it’s personal with anybody. Emotions get high. It’s the playoffs.”
Wade blew off the question regarding the altercation, saying simply, “I don’t even remember what y’all talking about.”
Wade’s struggles didn’t begin in the third, as from opening tip last
night he looked uncomfortable and out of sorts. He missed 11 of his 13
shots and was outscored by offensively inept Joel Anthony. Wade’s
frustration was blatant, and his lack of energy and burst led many to
question his health.
“At this point of the season, no one is 100 percent,” Wade said.
With Chris Bosh scheduled to be out 2-4 weeks, that’s probably the last thing Miami fans want to hear. Read more at Atlantablackstar.com

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade Drop The Ball In Game 2 Against Pacers
It is one thing to lose at home to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. It’s another thing to lose with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade failing in the waning moments.
But that’s exactly what happened. And the Indiana Pacers were the benefactors with a 78-75 victory that tied the series at 1-1.
James, who had 28 points, nine rebounds and five assists, missed two foul shots with 54.3 seconds left and Miami down by a point. He had missed another free throw earlier. And with 16 seconds to go and the Pacers in front by two, Wade missed a driving layup.
And finally, down by three in the last seconds of the game, neither Wade nor James took the last shot. It was a contested bomb by Mario Chalmers that clanked off the rim that sealed Indiana’s triumph that secured it the home court advantage.
Forward David West led the way with 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard George Hill added 15.
Playing without injured forward Chris Bosh (abdominal strain), who is out for the series, the Heat received little help from anyone other than James and Wade. No other Miami player scored more than five points.
The Heat have until Thursday’s Game 3 in Indianapolis to figure it out.Read more on Atlantablackstar.com

LeBron James A Likely Contender For MVP
It was when LeBron James was a kid that he developed the mindset of team.
”I was always taught it’s team first,” James told the AP on Friday. ”My first time playing basketball, we went undefeated and won a championship and Frank Walker Sr. gave everyone on the team a MVP trophy. Right then and there, I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I wanted to see my teammates reap the benefits as well.”
He has maintained that disposition, but his individual talent has been overwhelming, so much that he will for the third time be named the NBAs most valuable player, putting him in rarefied air.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won the MVP six times, Michael Jordan and Bill Russell five times each and Wilt Chamberlain four times. They are the only players with more than James. Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Moses Malone also have been so honored three times.
James likely will receive the trophy in Miami Sunday before Game 1 of the Miami Heat’s second-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.
James said last week that while another MVP award ”would be amazing and would be humbling,” it’s not what drives him. In his ninth year in the NBA, he is determined to win a championship.Read the full story at Atlantablackstar.com

Derrick Rose Takes Shots At LeBron James
Derrick Rose the current league's MVP covers the latest issue of GQ magazine and talks about the trials of super stardom and not making the same mistake LeBron made.
On being compared to Michael Jordan: “…His titles drive me. What’s wrong with getting close to the best person that ever played the game? I’m not scared of him; if anything, it makes me work harder when I do train.”
On the attention he receives for his playing: “The more you win, the more they come. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t take anything for granted. But it seems like the better I play, the more attention I get. And I can’t get away from it. You play great, you get attention. But I hate attention. It is weird. I’m in a bind.”
On LeBron’s infamous on-air decision to go to the Heat: “I won’t ever put myself in a bad position so that people can say bad things about me. I make smart decisions... I’m very mature for 23 years old, and I know that whatever I do can hurt someone.”
On the people of Chicago treating him like a star: “Chicago isn’t used to stardom. …They don’t know how to act toward celebrity. So I always have someone with me. I can have a hat on, glasses on, whatever. People still notice me. If I go outside without a hat on, I feel like I’m naked. This life doesn’t fit my personality.”
On feeling like a recluse: “It gets on my nerves that I can’t just go out. It’s just boundaries now, people are like, ‘You can’t go here, you can’t go there, you got to let that person know where you’re going.’ It’s just weird. I’m never alone. Ever.”What do you think of Derrick's interview?

Kobe Bryant Breaks Nose Minutes Before Passing Jordan's All Star Record
Kobe Bryant broke two things at Sunday's NBA All Star Game, his nose and Michael Jordan's All-star highest scorer record - both coming in the third quarter. First, Dwyane Wade fouled Kobe in the third - which many considered excessive given the lightheartedness of the game. Wade defended his foul,
"Yeah, I obviously didn't try to draw no blood, but I took a foul," Wade said afterward. "Kobe fouled me two times in a row, so he's still got one up on me. But I'm glad that everything was cool and we got back to being competitive and having fun."
Michael Jordan garnered 262 points in his 13 year all star career while Bryant broke that record on a dunk with 4:57 left in the third quarter of this 13th All Star game.
Other highlights in the game came from Bryant touting LeBron James to shoot the ball in the last few seconds of the game. James proceeded to pass and lost the opportunity to make the shot to tie the game. Despite having a great night, James is suffering a fresh dose of criticism for not being a clutch player.
Here's how ESPN puts it:
"Yeah, he was telling me to shoot it," LeBron said afterward, still sounding dejected from a late-game breakdown that soured a performance in which he had 36 points, seven assists and six rebounds to nearly lead the East back from a 21-point second-half deficit. "I (saw) my teammate open for a split-second. When I tried to throw it late, that's what usually happens and it results in a turnover. Definitely, I wish I could have that one back." What were your highlights of the 2012 NBA All Star game?

LeBron James Says Savannah Brinson Is Happy Over Proposal
LeBron James has finally popped the question to his girlfriend of eight years Savannah Brinson and according to him, she's super excited and happy.
After the Bobcats game which the Heat won James stated,
"My girl, she's very excited. She would love to answer more questions about it than me. But she's happy, my family's happy and that's what it's about."
James' teammate Dwyane Wade said the proposal was very sweet.
"It's very nice. Very nice. They have good taste. ... To me, it felt like he was on his knee for an hour. It was probably like 35 seconds. It was great. I feel so happy for them and their entire family."
LeBron also added that it was important for him to make the engagement a surprise,
"It should be a surprise for any woman anytime something like that happens," James said. "She was surprised. It was great that all the friends and family were there to bring in a new year. Even my kids were happy about it, so that's good. ... I feel good. I feel good. It's a good point in my life right now."

The NBA Lockout And The 450 Men That Stand In Unity
The 450 Man March: NBA Players Show Inspiring Unity in Lockout
By Nick Chiles
While there will be much grumbling from the jaded public about the greediness of spoiled millionaires as the NBA players fight with the owners over a new contract, the power and unity being shown by the players is one of the most impressive demonstrations of black male solidarity and coalition-building since the Million Man March.
Normally perceived as selfish and short-sighted, the players have banded together to fight an intimidating group of white multimillionaires and billionaires, rightfully claiming that all NBA revenue stems from their talents, and they should have a say in dictating how much of that revenue winds up in their pockets. It is a radical departure from the way that black male athletes have historically been treated by the powerful white men who controlled them, as William Rhoden skillfully explored in the seminal book “Forty Million Dollar Slaves.” Not one tear should be shed in this dispute for the owners, whose ultimate goal will always be to increase their bottom line while paying their employees as little as possible.
NBA Commissioner David Stern announced on Monday night that the NBA was canceling the first two weeks of the season. That means about 100 games down the tube, six to eight games per team. For each week lost, the league loses about $200 million in revenue. The strategy of the owners is entirely predicated on their expectation that the players are undisciplined, greedy and short-sighted—as soon as that first paycheck isn’t deposited into their accounts on Nov. 15 and they realize they have no funds to buy that tricked-out Escalade, the players will crumble and come crawling back to the owners willing to give them everything they wanted. That is the ownership position. After all, that strategy worked in the 1998-99 dispute, when the players caved after 32 games were shaved off the season. When you expect the other side to crumble, why seriously engage in negotiation? Of course it is the same strategy that management uses in most labor disputes—but the strategy makes sense when the labor force is made up of factory workers struggling to put food on the table, not multimillionaires who should have enough money saved to last for a years-long standoff. NBA players have told me privately that they knew this was coming and they are financially prepared for it this time. Forget about short-sightedness. That’s not happening here.

Lebron James Girlfriend Savannah Caught In Affair Scandal

Lebron James girlfriend Savannah is caught in an affair scandal with Washington Wizards baller Rashard Lewis. Here's what a source at Hello Beautiful had to say,
I have a very reliable source who clubs and drinks with all of the athletes that come through Orlando. He was all over the Tiger Woods issue and knew what all happened with Tiger prior to it being released publicly. My buddy has a place in Orlando, Lake Nona to be exact, and he lives among some athletes that live there in Orlando. Needless to say he golfs, drinks, and parties with some of the best people in central Florida. So when word got to him while at the bar last night, he called me. Word got out while drinking with friends, that Rashard Lewis slept with Lebrons girl while visiting South Beach.
Rashard Lewis has since surfaced and denies that he had anything to do with Lebron James girlfriend - even saying he's never met Savannah! Was pulling Lebron James' girlfriend into a scandal a ploy to throw Lebron off his game? Dallas leads the series 3-2

Scottie Pippen Backtracks After Saying Lebron James Is Better Than Michael Jordan
Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan had what Lebron James is working towards with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat. Despite Scottie's contributions to Michael Jordan's legacy and the Bull's he has continued to remain in the shadows of Michael Jordan. So it's not surprising to hear Scottie take a dig at Michael Jordan when he can.
Scottie spoke to ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike and had this to say about Lebron James compared to Michael Jordan,
“Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play in the game, but I may go as far to say LeBron James is probably the greatest player to ever play the game. He’s so potent offensively…not only can he score at will, but he keeps everybody involved. You have to be on your Ps and Qs because everybody is a threat to score when he’s on the floor. Not only that, LeBron James will dominate the game on the offensive end and he’s able to do it on the defensive end as well. He can get in those passing lanes and dominate the game.”

Lebron James - Lebron James' Mother Arrested After Altercation
Lebron James - Miami Heat star Lebron James' mother Gloria James was arrested early Thursday morning following an altercation with a valet attendant.
A spokesperson for Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel where the incident occurred said in a statement "There was an incident involving Mrs. Gloria James and an employee of our valet parking provider while she was exiting the hotel early Thursday morning.
According to a source on the scene, Gloria and some girlfriends came to party at club LIV at the Fontainebleau, where she was being "sweet as pie" during the the night out. When it came time to leave around 5 a.m., a security guard escorted her to the valet area to collect her car. The escort was not because she was behaving badly, the source says, but because it's a Fontainebleau policy to provide their VIP guests with an escort.
"When Gloria went to get in her car, she said she couldn't find her keys which she was told were in the car," the source tells People. "She got angry quickly and swung her bag at the valet person who brought the car."
Gloria missed and proceeded to slap the attendant in his face a minute later. That's when, the source says, the police were called, and Gloria was taken into custody early Thursday morning.
Lebron James had the game that same evening.

LeBron James Name Censored From Cleveland Radio
Lebron James is so hated by Clevland that a local radio station has added his name to the seven words you can't say on radio. On Jay-Z’s major hit "Empire State Of Mind," Ohio's 96.5 KISS FM radio station has gone as far as bleeping out Lebron's name from the line on Jay-Z's track that says,
"[if] Jeezy’s paying LeBron, I’m paying Dwayne Wade..."
Host Joel "Java" Murphy explained the rationale behind the decision with Cleveland sports blog WFNY by saying that Lebron James’s name is damaging to Cleveland's ears.
"I was playing the song and realized that the word 'LeBron' is as offensive to some people as the ‘Seven Words You Can’t Say on the Radio,' " Java said. So, I suggested to our programming department that we should treat the name 'LeBron' similarly."
Oh lets get over it already!!!!

For Lebron James, it is an uptick of nearly three points per game from his previous average, with Wade going up 2 1/2 points. Dwayne said:
"I think, of late, we're playing great together. We feel great on the court together. I don't think we look that terrible right now as people said we did earlier.'

Lebron James Shows Cleveland What They Had
Lebron James did the Cleavland Cavaliers like when a girl shows up looking sexy with her new man on her arms, at someplace where her ex-boyfriend is hanging out. Sum it up this way: the Cavs starters scored 28 points in Miami's 118-90 win; LeBron James outscored the five with 38. The Heat won more than easily, as the Cavs did not come within a light year of matching the intensity of their crowd.
Lebron rubbed his dominance in the face of Clevland fans by chumming it up with the Cavileier's bench. All in all Lebron demonstrated why he left Cleavland for Miami in the first place. He definitely couldn't win a ring in Cleveland

LeBron James Thinks The Miami Heat Looses Because He Is Played Too Much.
Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh are definitely not living up to the hype of the "Big Three," especially since the Miami Heat is carrying a 5-4 record. Lebron James offered his solution to the Miami Heat's problem after the Heat fell to the Boston Celtics once again 112-107. Lebron thinks that coach Spoelstra plays him too much.
"For myself, 44 minutes is too much," James declared. "I think Coach Spo knows that. Forty minutes for D-Wade is too much. We have to have as much energy as we can to finish games out."
Ok 44 minutes is too much for the Big Three? Lebron, Dwanyne Wade and Chris Bosh are not looking to0 big anymore.

LeBron James would Decide Differently About Miami
Lebron James says he has no regrets about ending up in Miami, but he would handle his decision differently if given another chance.
"If I had to go back on it, I probably would do it a little bit different,' James said. 'But I'm happy with the decision I made. There's always going to be a misunderstanding. I don't know what I would [have done], but I definitely would have changed it"
Lebron seems to be feeling the backlash of "The Decision" in which many basketball fans are expressing their anger and discontent with the baller.

Celtics Delonte West Starts Locker Room Fight With Teammate Von Wafer
Celtics player Delonte West is in the news for trifling behavior once again. The former Cleavland Cavalier was reportedly knuckling it up with his own teammate Von Wafer after practice on Friday. According to the reports, Delonte West and Von Wafer were guarding each other in a game of three-on-three and West continually kept fouling Wafer. Wafer then left the court and headed back to the locker room. However, West followed him and reportedly threw the first punch and then the two Celtics players wrestled on the ground.
NBA sources are looking into the altercation and gathering information, but West NBA career might be in jeopardy because of his off court antics. While playing for Cleveland, he was rumored to have had an affair with Gloria James, LeBron James mother. Later Delonte West was found guilty of weapons charges in Maryland after he was pulled over on his three wheeled motorcycle and had possession of a hand gun, shotgun and extremely large bowie knife. West was suspended for the first 10 games of this season for the incident.
Delonte has not gotten things together yet. Them pocket are going to be hurting.

LeBron James Retweets Racist Rant
Lebron James admitted weeks ago that he believed racism still exists in America. The NBA superstar, LeBron James, decided to show the world what he was talking about by retweeting several racist “tweets” posted by one of his followers on Twitter.com. According to ESPN.com, LeBron said he just wanted people “to see what type of words that are said toward me and towards us as professional athletes.” Some of the tweets were left out for brevity.

LeBron James, Chis Bosh, and Dwayne Wade To Kick-Off Preseason Madness Tonight
LeBron James, Chis Bosh, and Dwayne Wade, now known as "The Big Three" are set to open the Miami Heat preseason at home against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. It will mark the first time Lebron James will play before 19,000 or so of his newest fans. Of course there will be a lot more interest in this year's preseason as "The Big Three" stirs NBA madness in Miami.
Tickets were being resold for more than $250 on some online sites, even though the game isn’t sold out. Two television crews are coming to broadcast the game, and even the some of the Pistons are saying they’re looking forward to this exhibition more than usual.
“We’re ready to play the game,” said James, the two-time reigning NBA MVP who’ll don a uniform other than Cleveland’s for the first time in his professional career. “We’re going to let the game do a lot of the talking. We know we’ve got to answer a lot of questions every day from you guys, but when we get out on the court, it’s all business.”
Although the anticipation in the atmosphere will be like a playoff game seven, Tuesday's game will likely be anything but that. Both teams plan on playing the games as if it is a preseason game.

Lebron James' Manager Says Race Played A Role In Media Coverage
LeBron James’ manager, Maverick Carter, said he believes race played a factor in how the two-time reigning NBA MVP’s decision to join the Miami Heat was covered by the media this summer.
Carter did not give specific examples when talking to CNN for a story that aired Wednesday night, other than saying race “definitely played a role in some of the stuff coming out of the media” during coverage of James’ free-agent saga.
In the aftermath of“The Decision,” an oft-criticized televised special that raised $3 million for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Lebron James received flak for appearing arrogant and narcissistic for making his announcement that way.
After James made his announcement July 8, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert responded almost immediately by releasing a scathing letter to fans of his team, saying James was being “narcissistic” and “cowardly.” That prompted Rev. Jesse Jackson to enter the fracas, saying the Cavs owner saw James as a “runaway slave.”
Miami Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra had this to say about the situation:
“I don’t walk in LeBron’s shoes. From our standpoint, we’ve moved on from the summer.”

Even Lebron James Doesn't Think He Can Average A Triple Double
Even Lebron James doesn't think that he can average a triple double this season with the Miami Heat. According to Yahoo Sports:
Although Heat swingman Mike Miller(notes)
said it's "doable'' and ESPN's Jalen Rose said "he could pull it off if
he chose,'' James is skeptical about averaging a triple-double. "Is it
realistic? It's so tough in this day and age,'' James said this week.
"I look up to Big O so much to be able to do that. Unbelievable feat. I
don't believe it will ever be matched. It's very intriguing. You would
love to make history, but it's not a goal of mine. My goal is to be a
triple threat, not to average a triple-double. I know I can do that.''
Wow! Lebron James has humility? He can do that too?

Delonte West Denies Romping With Lebron James' Mom
LeBron James’ former teammate Delonte West has once again denied a rumor that he slept with LeBron’s mom Gloria James. LeBron’s former teammate was directly asked at a press conference whether he slept with Gloria, according to the Boston Globe.
“Not at all,” West replied. “I come from an era where you don’t say nothing bad about someone’s parent, so not at all.” West, now with the Celtics, is looking forward to playing with his new team. “There’s a lot of excitement here,” he said.
That is a difficult rumor to navigate. No one would trade places with Delonte West.

Lebron James Settles For $7million Dollar Home In South Florida
Lebron James is balling out of control on the court and off, but the Miami Heat star is not trying to spend his $110 million dollar contract on real estate. According to a Coconut Grove real estate agent, LeBron James along with girlfriend, Savannah are looking to purchase a $7 million, 4 bedroom, 5 bath, 10,000 square feet mansion in quiet, secluded Devon Court, a private enclave of 15 homes just south of Miami.
The home boasts a soaring 3-story foyer, an elevator, and his and hers showers in the master bathroom. Some think this is a modest abode for such a high paid athlete. Is a $7 million, 10,000 square feet pad modest or reasonable for Lebron.

Dwight Howard Chooses Kevin Durant Over LeBron James
Dwight Howard was asked on the Dan Patrick Show who he would want on his team, the All-Star chose Kevin Durant.
"I'm gonna go with Kevin," Howard said, who also insisted that the Lakers are still the best team in the NBA.
Kevin Durant just led Team USA to its first FIBA world basketball championship since 1994.
Dwight Howard isn't the only one to overlook LeBron James for another player. Last year, NBA legend Michael Jordan said Bryant is the best player in the league at one of his basketball camps.
Despite Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers winning the NBA championship this year, some people think the question of who is the best NBA player is between LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

Lebron James To Pay Savannah $25 Million..If They Break-up?
Lebron James it seems has been taking notes from the many high profile divorces/break-ups happening in Hollyweird. Ex. Tiger Woods and Mel Gibson. In an attempt to preempt a messy break-up from the mother of his children, Lebron has reportedly negotiated a lump sum deal for Savannah's loyalty and silence. According to the rumors, Savannah would receive the $25 million dollars if they break up and in return she is not allowed to speak of Lebron to the public!

Charles Barkley Slams Lebron James For Being A Punk - Update
Why is Charles Barkley still talking about Lebron James' move to the Miami Heat? Well it seems Charles Barkley took Lebron James' Twitter message personally when Lebron James hit up his followers saying:
Don't think for one min that I haven't been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone!
Lebron James has been the butt of quite a few innuendos that his decision to 'take his talents' to the Miami Heat alongside the likes of Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh was only made to guarantee himself a champions hip ring. The list includes the likes of Charles Barkley and even the legend himself, Michael Jordan. Unlike the rest of those potentially on Lebron James' hitlist, 'sir' Charles Barkley was quick to respond to the near-threat, with a shot of his own:
“I want him to make sure that he puts my name on that (list). I thought that his little one-hour special was a punk move.”

Is Phil Jackson all Lebron James needs to become the championship-winning superstar he's destined to be? Even Michael Jordan needed a supporting cast - and there Phil was. Come to think of it, when Kobe Bryant needed a supporting cast - up pops Phil Jackson again. Anybody see what we're seeing here? According to the Bleacher Report:

CLeveland Cavaliers Eliminated Despite LeBron James' Triple Double - Is He Headed To The New York Knicks?
LeBron James racked up 27 points, 10 assists, and 19 rebounds yet the Cleveland Cavaliers were eliminated from the Easter Conference simifinals by the Boston Celtics. Cleveland normally wins when the regular season MVP comes up with a big game but not this time. Mo Williams, started the game with high intensity, scoring 20 of his 22 points in the first half, but no one else really stepped up for the Cavs. In defense of the rest of the team, Boston was in total control of the game from beginning to end, and LeBron almost had a quadruple double with 9 turnovers. Kevin Garnett scored 22 points with 12 rebounds, and Rajon Rondo added 21 points and 12 assists to lead Boston to the 94-85 victory. Paul Pierce was cold but hit a few clutch three pointers to hold off LeBron when he finally got going in the third quarter. The Celtics advance to face the Orlando Magic in the Easter Conference finals.
Everyone's mind is on LeBron James who can opt out of his contract to become a free agent in July. A number of teams including the New York Knicks have shown interest in the star. Teams began shuffling their rosters and making room in their budget to make a play at the MVP. At this current moment, James has told no one of his intentions and claims to never think about it. Even Cleveland coach Mike Brown said he wasn't ready to think about the future yet. "Obviously, he's a heck of a talent and a great guy," he said. "But right now we just lost the series. I'm not thinking of that. It wouldn't be fair to everyone in that locker room to think beyond tonight."

The Celtics were rebounding from a 30 point home loss of their own when they stunned Cleveland. Ray Allen scored 25 points, Paul Pierce added 21, Kevin Garnett went for 18, and Rajon Rondo scored all 16 of his points in the second half. The Cavaliers star and league MVP, LeBron James, had a horrible shooting night. He went 3-14 shooting and finished the game with only 15 points. I wasn't able to knock down those shots that I was able to get some good looks at." Lebron James will become a free agent in July and may be playing his last games as a Cavalier. Fans are wondering if they have seen the last of James if the there isn't a Game 7 in Cleveland.

It was Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant, not Las Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, who was the runner-up with 4 first place votes. "To be MVP is definitely an honor. It's a humbling experience," James told the Magic Johnson in an interview. "To receive that while you are trying to win a championship, you have to balance it out. I've been able to do that so far." When asked how it felt to join the group of other 9 players that have won the award back-to-back James ended with: "I'm just trying to do my job. Hopefully I can add onto that championship list of names and pass it on to someone when I'm done."

However, even if Lebron James stays with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he's still changing jerseys! Lebron James says he plans to honor the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan, by changing his uniform number from 23 to 6. "I've done it," LeBron told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "I already sent it in. I'm going to be No. 6.".

Lebron James Punished For Kicking A Water Bottle? C'mon Lebron!

During the first quarter of Wednesday's night's Cavaliers-Mavericks game, Lebron James reacted to a bad call by an official by violently kicking a gatorade jug into the stands. Upset about not getting a call on a drive to the basket, James was hit with a technical foul for complaining to referees with 12.4 seconds left in the quarter and the Cavs up by one point. All in all, not too big of deal, but apparently the NBA took it seriously, as they've fined him $25,000 for the display. Coach Mike Brown removed James from the game to cool him down and when James came to the bench he kicked the bottle, which sprayed several fans with water behind the bench. Sending anything into the stands is against the rules and James would have been ejected from the game if the officials saw him do it. It is the second time in the past seven months James has been hit with a $25,000 fine. He wrote a check last June after not speaking to the media following the Eastern Conference finals loss to the Orlando Magic.

Kobe Bryant Forced To Take Out Ankle Insurance After Lebron's Shake & Bake
As he has often done in the past, LeBron James took the Cavaliers on his back and put on one of the best shows that NBA fans have seen in quite some time. With the big ticket Los Angeles Lakers coming to town and both teams owning 32 wins, James converted key possessions and led the Cavs to a 93-87 win – sweeping the Lakers series for the season and sending Kobe Bryant home to question his team’s toughness. Bryant struggled miserably from the field, making just 12-of-31 shots (7-of-23 after the first quarter), and the Lakers bricked far too many free throws (15-of-24).Naturally, Kobe took a shot at his teammates after the loss:

Shaquille O'Neal Bought Lebron James A Rolls Royce Phantom For His Birthday!
Shaquille O'Neal is known for being a philanthropist, great teammate and generous with the ladies. But even Lebron James himself didn't expect a gift of this size. For his 25th birthday, Lebron James received a Rolls Royce Phantom. How expensive is that, you ask? AOL Autos says a 2009 Phantom VI is usually priced between $380,000 and $450,000. Perhaps LeBron can repay the favor by getting Shaq one more NBA championship ring this spring.
WOW! With friends like those, who needs a job?

Rumor Mill: Lebron James To Join New York Knicks July 2010
LeBron James will be a Knick come July 1st 2010 when he becomes a free agent according to sports journalist Mike Lupica of the NY Daily News and ESPN's Sports Reporter. According to him:
"I am hearing, that Nike wants LeBron in New York even more than ever, because of Tiger. And the reason they want it more than ever is because they know Tiger is going to continue to regress. That there's going to be a void to fill, even when he comes back and starts winning."
But what about Hov's team the Nets?: And isn't he from Ohio? Shouldn't he be representing for the hood??? You know the saying, though, 'Money talks....'

Lebron James Lands The Cover Of Sports Illustrated Issue
NBA star Lebron James covers the final Sports Illustrated issue of the decade, and we think it's by default. Tiger Woods, who was once the darling of the sports industry and the first candidate to potentially become a billionaire, has seen his fall from grace leaving Lebron James as the next batter up. How long will Lebron James be able to bear this heavy burden? Will he be able to perform on the court well enough under such pressure with these high stakes? Will white women be his unraveling?
The next decade will have the answers to these questions and more. Till then, hold your head up Lebron!

Rihanna's Album Cover, Disney's Black Princess & Braylon Edwards Gets Charged
This is Rihanna's album cover for upcoming album "Rated R". It's some pretty dark stuff and very Grace Jones inspired. Nonetheless, it's a far cry from her very first album with baggy jeans and long hair, but quite frankly I think Rihanna has been waiting to bring this bad girl out of the bag! Her last album, "Good Girl Gone Bad" was also in black and white and we can now say was perhaps our introduction to this new badass! Are you buying it though?? In other news, Disney World in Orlando has debut it's black princess and wait til you see what her prince looks like.....

Cavs Bought Shaq to Keep Lebron James another year
The Cleveland Cavaliers are a desperate franchise, they need to win a title. There are speculations that Lebron James might be growing frustrated with the franchise inability to capture a title. So one quick fix from the owners point of view is to bring in someone who can help Lebron capture a title. We will see if Shaquille O'Neal going over to the Cavs has any impact on LeBron James' decision to keep wearing thier uniform in 2010. Obiously that will depend on whether or not Lebron thinks Shaq can help him win the title in 2010. Here is what the pundits are saying about Lebron, Shaq and the Cavaliers. What do you think?

Ice Cube and Lebron James making a film for the ABC network
Ice Cube is becoming the next Martin Scorsese by linking up Lebron James to develop and executive produce a one-hour drama for ABC.
The show will be based on James' experiences as a black high school student playing in a small town. Hmmm...we haven't seen that story done before.
Ok. Ok. we have seen this overdone story line, but you got to watch it when it's Doughboy producing it.

Jay-Z wants LeBron James on his team
In 2010, LeBron James' contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers is up and the entire NBA is salivating at the idea of getting King James on their squad. Although LeBron has let it be known that he ain't going anywhere and wants to spend his career as a Cavalier, rumors have definitely been circulating that he could bounce to the Nets because of his good friendship with Jay-Z who owns a stake in the team.
In an interview, Jay-Z made it known that the Nets want King James. When asked about the possibility of him someday joining the franchise, the Nets’ part-owner paid no mind to league tampering rules and then dropped this illegal bomb,
"How amazing would that be? LeBron James is one of the NBA's best players - everybody would love to have him on their team," Jigga Man told the YES Network according to LarryBrownSports.com. "I have a personal relationship with him but that's where it stops. His professional career is that, a business decision. If we put forth the best proposal then we would love to have him as any other team would... I tell people all the time, he’s my friend first. If Cleveland is building a championship team around him then my advice is to stay there. If it’s the Nets who are building a championship team that could be around him then my advice is to come to the Nets.”
Time will tell if becoming the "King of New York" is as big a deal for Lebron James as it has been for Jay-Z and other New York rappers.
