Rihanna Up for Remake of “The Last Dragon”?
 Cult classic “The Last Dragon” is up for a remake by Kerry Gordy (son of Motown mogul Barry Gordy), John Davis of Davis Entertainment and Rza of Wu-Tang Clan as co-producer. Rza is confident the remake will be better than the original saying, "We're gonna make it real classic - take it back to the '80s. We're gonna try it a few years ahead. We got some crazy ideas, but the main thing is still finding that glow. That's still the theme of the film, to find that glow in yourself."
Samuel L. Jackson has already been penned to play Sho’nuff. No word on who will play the lead character “Bruce Leroy” but if Rza has his way, songstress Rihanna will play “Bruce Leroy’s” girl, Laura Charles.
The original actor Vanity learned to act on the set so
Rihanna isn’t a far stretch. You know you have arrived in Hollywood
when you’re being considered for movies without a day’s worth of
training or expressed interest.
Shooting for “The Last Dragon” will begin in ’09.

First of all, youngun'. Taimak is name of the actor that played the 'Leroy' character. Vanity played 'Laura Charles'.
You can find info on what Taimak is doing today and find out who he is. The Leroy character has got to have some real martial arts skills. Gordy & Rza can't go cheap otherwise the flick will end up going straight to video.
With so many key facts missed in this 'rumor' article. Are people really discussing the remake?
