Please oh please get off the "We love Oprah" kick! Do people not realise that most of what she does is both self-serving and a tax write-off? Do they think she buys all this stuff and gives it away out of her own pocket? Not bloody likely. And there is something wrong with giving to people who are being recognized for their good deeds. Who decides who is recognized? What constitutes a good deed? How does Oprah find out about these people? For many Americans just getting from payday to payday is a major feat. It would be far more impressive if she took the time to visit areas that are suffering and gave (without fanfare and hoopla) to people who really need it. Has Oprah done anything for America's struggling farmers? Has she been to reserves and seen the dire straits of some of our native people? It's all about the ratings and makong damn sure she gets them. The womann has far too much influence and little reason for having it!

How do you become the lucky one? I am going to miss your show. I live in Mayfield, Ky 42066. I work a part time job driving a senior citizen van for our local center. Dreams like that never come true for us.

lets not get it confused. regardless of how much money oprah has she didn't come out of pocket for any of these gifts. having their brand name mentioned on her show is all she needed to offer. so please don't put oprahs worth & the value of these gifts in the same sentence.

Yeah,
I wish I was on the show getting the gifts as well. I am so financially broke it is a shame but I am doing something about it. Working on my education,to get a better job. I have never been lucky and always had to work for what I have.
I have been robbed all my life but i am no longer complaining because those @#$%!ers cannot steal my education and drive to make it. I WILL be a millionaire! I KNOW IT with God's help and anyone can do the same if they want it bad enough.

I'm not an Oprah fan - I use to be but not anymore. However, it's her show and "favorite things" is one of her things. It's a lot but if I were a guest I would love getting those "favorite things". It's one show that I actually watch online because I like to see the guest reaction and the "things". Most of the gifts come from the company - it's an ad for them but who cares it's fun. Don't like don't watch.
