Brittany Murphy - Post-Mortem Home Of Brittany Murphy And Husband Up For Sale In 2-Weeks
Brittany Murphy - Former actress Brittany Murphy's home was scheduled for the auction block this morning at 10:30 AM at the courthouse in Pomona, CA.
According to TMZ however, the auction has been postponed. We're told Brittany's mom Sharon asked for the extra time because she's trying to unload the house on her own.
The actress' untimely death in late 2009 came only months before that of her husband Simon Monjack. And now the home where the couple passed is in foreclosure. According to TMZ the Hollywood Hills home has gone into foreclosure and is to be auctioned off.
The 8,000 square feet home on 1.29 acres has $4,035,666.92 owed and may be auctioned off in two weeks.

It makes you wonder whether something in the house (e.g., mold, asbestos, tained water supply) caused the death of Brittany and her husband. It's unusual for two people as young as that to both die within such a short time of each other.

I would love to own Brittany Murphys house. I think it would be a great honor. She was a sweet, lovely, talented and very tormented lady (thanks to her husband). She was so very talented and didn't get to show the world just how talented she was. I think Brittany Murphy wasn't just a great actress, but she was a wonderful person. She was the type of person that would have been a good friend. Unfortunatly because of Monjack she was sheltered way to much. I think she had good taste and I would love to own her home.

Last that I heard, the house was being investigated by the health department of LA due to possible mold. My husband is in the mold and air quality business, and I beleive in my heart it mold that caused their health to decline and ultimatley caused death.

I think that Brittany Murphy was not only a good actress but simply adorable as well. HOWEVER, i would not want to live in the home that she died in. I wouldn't mind having the 4 million owed on it though!!!!!!! Geez i should have become an actress!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone tried to exploit the situation with a starting list price of more than double of what the actress paid for the home in 2003 when the market was much stronger.
Bottom line, it won't sell at the auction, for the sale at the courthouse steps would be for the mortgage amount, which in this case is more than the house is worth.
It will most likely be appraised and relisted at a price determined by the appraisal.

This is sad. Two younge people who passed. Britany murphy was a great actress and love him or hate him, monjack loved her. I honestly think he died of a broken heart. How can her mother cope? The house going into foreclosure is very sad. They say britany's mom is in bad health as well even though she is a breast cancer survivor. This is a sad home to buy.

If I had the money I would love to own the house but never live there. Brittany Murphy was a beautiful talented woman and her memory should be honered. This is a hard time for her family, especially her Mother who lost her daughter and son in law so close together. My prayers are with her.
