Gretchen Mol - Gretchen Mol Names Baby Girl Winter Williams
Gretchen Mol - "Boardwalk Empire" actress Gretchen Mol welcomed her second child, first daughter with "Paranormal Activity 2" director Tod "Kip" Williams. The couple are already parents to three-year old son Ptolemy John. This time around, Gretchen had a baby girl and decided to name her after the season of her birth....maybe..odd names for odd name sake is the rage in Hollywood.
According to People magazine, Gretchen and Tod welcomed Winter Morgan Williams on February 17
A representative for the family confirmed that "Everyone is happy and healthy and resting at home. The whole family is overjoyed".

The reason why famous people pick different names is that many of them have better educations and know what the names mean. Do some research before you let your ignorance lead you to be critical of peoples decisions. Choosing a generic name doesn't mean you've done a better job of naming your children than they have. FYI, Claudius Ptolemy was a Roman citizen of Egypt who wrote in Greek. He was a mathematician, astronomer, geographer, astrologer, and poet. Ptolemy synthesized and extended Hipparchus's system of epicycles and eccentric circles to explain his geocentric theory of the solar system.

I like the name Winter. Montell Williams has a daughter Wynter and Nicole Richie's Harlow has Winter as her middle name? I don't know how to pronounce Ptolemy. The only problem I have with children's names is call them what you name them not a different or middle name.
