Beyonce Hopes To Produce And Direct Documentary About Herself
Along with her ICM agency representatives, Beyonce is looking to find a Hollywood studio to back a documentary about her life and career. A source familiar with the package being offered was not allowed to give specifics, but acknowledged that the film would include a mix of both music and personal study, utilizing concert footage along with interviews, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Potential distributors have been treated to about 20 minutes of preview footage from the film, which will feature Beyonce as the star, director and producer. The documentary would likely focus on some of the most recent events in the singer’s career, which include the release of her billboard-topping album “4,” the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, and her split from her long term manager and father Matthew Knowles.
